Hershey's Olde Fashion Fudge
DESCRIPTION: My mother taught me this recipe 50 years ago and in taste and texture it is wonderful and way better than other recipes I have tried over the years..
SERVINGS: 24
INGREDIENTS: ⅔ cup Cocoa 3 cups Sugar 1½ cups Whole Milk ⅛ tsp Cream of Tartar ¼ tsp Salt ¼ cup Butter 1 tsp Vanilla OPTIONAL: 1½ tsp Strawberry Flavoring 1½ tsp White Vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS: In 6-8 quart heavy pot add sugar, cocoa, salt, and Cream of Tartar (used to encourage hardening). Mix dry I gradients well.
Add milk to dry ingredients and stir using a wooden spoon attempting to dissolve sugar and mix ingredients well with milk.
Place on medium high heat and continue to stir continually. As mixture heats it will slowly dissolve sugar and increase in volume to almost twice it's original volume.
As mixture comes to point of boiling stop stirring. .
Mixture as it cooks will almost double volume. As it continues to boil it renders into fudge and will reduce close to original volume. You will need a cup of cold water(use ice to cool and remove before using) to use in testing the.mixtures readiness.
At this point stir deeply and dribble drops of judge mix into cold water to test for doneness. If only small balls form from droplets it's time to remove. If fudge mix seems to dissolve in water or is long and stringy it's not done. Continue to boil renewing cold water with clean water each time you test. When you get just softball of fudge mix when dripped into your cold water it has reached softball stage and it's time to remove from.heat to rest.
You need to have a place you can put the pot will it will not be to touched or moved after it gets to the softball stage. MOVING THE POT AT ALL will cause the mixture to crystalize back into sugar and is not good. I suggest a wooden cutting board with a hot pad to set pot on.
Remove pot to resting place dropping butter into mix and flavorings. DO NOT STIR AT THIS POINT!!!
Prepare an 8" square pan by coating bottom and sides with butter. Set aside.
It will take from 15 mins till 45 mins for mixture to cool. It is cool enough when you can barely hold the pot by it's sides without burning your hands.
At this point using wooden spoon stir mixture dissolving melted butter and flavorings into chocolate mixture. Stir until mixture begins to lose its glossy look pour quickly into pan and spread flat.
If you poured late fudge will harden as you pour into hard fudge or even harden in pan. Pour too early it will not harden or will semi harden but into a wet sugar crystalizes mixture. This can be fixed do not throw out.
If hardens in pan I suggest returning entire batch to pot adding 1/4cup of milk to mixture and return to med low heat melting chocolate slowly you must attempt to break mix loose from pan at this point. You made need as much as 1/2 cup more milk to remix chocolate but go slowly or you will burn chocolate.
As it melts increasing heat to med low or med stirring constantly just until mixture is completely liquified and just begins to simmer near boiling point. Remove from heat and continue to stir as you did before until it begins to lose glossiness. Pour into pan immediately.
If mixture didn't harden right return to pot ad 1/2 cup of milk and on medium low stir constantly until mixture losses it's grainy texture. At that point increase heat to medium and bring to boil remove from heat and stir constantly until it loses its glossiness and immediately pour into pan.
NOTES: To make Vanilla Fudge: leave out Cocoa and increase vanilla to 2 tsps.
Strawberry Fudge: Leave out cocoa and add 11/2 tsp Strawberry flavoring
Basically for different flavors just follow the substitutes above replacing with favorite flavor.

I have a gas stove that is built into the countertop, and is a separate appliance from the oven below it.
Yesterday while cleaning, I made the mistake of thinking all of the knobs were completely dry, but I guess one had a drop of water still on it. It’s been 24 hrs now, I’ve applied the blow drier heated on it, I’ve run the oven a few times and I left a standing fan circulating on it overnight.
I have to cook specific dishes for my work tomorrow, so I’m a bit stressed about time. It hasn’t slowed down and the igniter of the burner will spark if I try to place the burners back on.
Is there anything else I can do to try to resolve the issue faster? Repair people aren’t exactly urgent in my country… I’d probably have to wait a week.

2024.11.25 14:24 kileras1a Are you worried there is to much hype about PoE 2?
I wonder if you think that there may be to much hype on PoE 2 and people would bounce off just because they remember PoE and think PoE 2 will be same but with new stuff. It's almost a new game with all the changes to mechanics and the feel. I wonder how many people would hype themself to much just because they don't understand changes or didn't pay attention to information at all, for example some may imagine PoE 2 character with "multiple proj" added to their firestorm, ball of lightning and whatever the 3rd skill they want just to discover it's only 1 of each support gem for character so you can support just one of them with it.
There is lot of changes and lot of hype that may or may not be to high. I like the changes presented and I'm hyped and fully aware it won't feel like PoE but somehow different game with some resemblance to PoE, but I'm afraid that many probably don't get it.

2024.11.25 14:24 zeezyzz3 Went to buy jio sim, could not activate because supposedly i have 6 sim cards on my aadhaar number and I can't find any option to check on government site because I don't have any of those numbers.
I 21M from kolkata, was previously using sim under my dad's ownership. I finally went to get it changed to my own ownership. Went though a long hassle and now my old sim card is deactivated, and I can't reactivate it because the service provider told me that I already have 6 sim cards issued on my aadhaar.
I have never bought any sim. That sim was connected to everywhere. I currently I have no number and using my house wifi.
I checked tafcop but I can't see because I have none of the numbers and my aadhaar is linked with my dad's number, so when I open with my dad's number, it shows numbers issued under his aadhaar.
I can't simply check with just my aadhar number. I don't know what to do. I even have exams tomorrow and It's messing with my head.
I was even supposed to get my driving license details in the same number.
Any steps which is feasible and less time consuming for me to get my own number previously activated.

2024.11.25 14:24 Astonliar Microwave turntable turns off on every start
 | We have a recent model KitchenAid built in microwave / conventional oven combo (model KOCE500ESS05). Microwave on top. The Start/Cancel button for the microwave is in the top-right corner of the control panel. Immediately to the left of the Start button is a Turntable On/Off button. Recently, every time we start the microwave, the turntable turns off and the turntable off icon (sort of a bullseye with an 'x' on it) appears next to the clock. Pressing the Turntable On/Off button starts the turntable again. At first, I thought I might have developed a habit of pressing both controls when starting the microwave but after some testing, I have determined that this is not the case. I'm looking for some advice on what may be wrong. 2024.11.25 14:24 Dry_Temporary_6175 I feel extremely weird and I don't know exactly what to do next. My brain seems messed up. What's wrong with me?
For some reason, I don't have normal human reactions or feelings to anything anymore. Things that used to disgust me or scare me are not disgusting me. I feel extremely abnormal. It's like I don't have natural feelings anymore and I am not all the way there. I believe my actual feelings or the way that I react to things feel extremely diminished. I don't feel emotions as strongly as I used to anymore immediately at the moment. I feel like I would say or do violent things or say rude things when I never used to do that normally. I have an issue with memory as well. I literally can't remember things that happened in the past 24 hours and I forget how things actually are. I can't remember literally everything that happened to me the other day and all the days before that. I also have issues thinking critically and thinking things through. I also can't learn properly and fast enough like I used to. This all happened to me out of nowhere. The things that used to make me feel satisfied/feel happy in life don't fully satisfy me anymore. I feel robotic but I don't feel normal at all. It's way too hard to describe because I don't know anyone suffering through this. Can someone please help? This has happened randomly out of nowhere since Thursday. Before that, I was feeling normal but every since last Thursday, this has been happening since...

Hey all, it’s the time of the year where eliminated teams focus on keepers for next season. I’m curious for some thoughts on trade etiquette involving keeper players. I haven’t seen this happen yet but I’m new to keeper leagues and wondering if it’s considered poor etiquette, collusion, etc. to do something like this:
If a team gets eliminated from the playoffs before the trade deadline, is it within their right to “overpay” for a premium keeper? Think Justin Jefferson + Kamara for a Brock Bowers or Achance with a 10th round keeper status
In a scenario like that, both teams are doing what is in their own best interest BUT it can clearly swing the league championship in favor of the team that is in win now mode
I’m also imagining a scenario where a team that is playoff bound with THE premium keeper could have a bidding war where the eliminated teams essentially have to trade their top 3 or 4 players to get that one keeper. How do managers control this? Is there a rule that trades need to be “fair” for this season in addition to teams acting in their own best interest? Has this ever happened in a league you’re in?

Hi guys want to share my timeline here 11/13 delivered to Elgin office 11/15 got the receipt number from live agebt 11/18 got the E-notification text of the receipt 11/19 asked live agent and got the online access code 11/23 bio appointment scheduled, we rescheduled it to next Monday (25) to another state since we are traveling 11/25 bio completed. It skipped step 3 and showed “Case is being actively reviewed”. I ask live agent they said “interview is marked as waived”. Hope get approved soon!
