Been banging my head trying to decide on my next (automatic) car for approximately £15-£18k and annoyingly the best choice seems like it might be a car I have already had (albeit on lease).
5 year old Cupra 290s with less than 50k miles appear be going for less than £18k.
Not sure what else offers the same performance in relation to age/mileage for a similar price.
Octavia VRs is an obvious alternative but I'm not really sold on the looks and for some reason there are hardly any available near me.
Golf GTI has less power whereas the R is more expensive or a lot more miles.
Alpha Romeo Gulia Veloce isn't too far off but maintenance seems expensive (£600 road tax ffs) and again seem harder to come by.
Is there anything else I'm missing that offers similar levels of practicality, performance and availability for a similar cost?

I live in central London and have recently had my rear window smashed in and charging cables stolen from the boot of the car. The car was then open to the elements overnight causing water damage to the interior. I am looking to update my dashcam with something more modern than the old NextBase one which didn't pick up anything at the front of the car.
I am really struggling to find something that has cloud-based recording so I can be notified if someone attempts to break into the car again.
Every dashcam I can find seems to say LTE ready, but I can't see where to buy an LTE module or the monthly cost to have it.

I've been thinking about visiting one of the Harry Potter locations in Universal. I learned that the train actually connects Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley which is super cool! My question is 1, is this the correct ticket I'd need to buy to be able to go to both in one day using the train? 2, do you thinking visiting both in one day is feasible without rushing? How many hours would you expect to spend in each area? I don't need to go on any rides, unless there's one or two that are a must ride thing, let me know!! 3, if I only could go to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley, which would you recommend based on atmosphere and walking around/shopping?

2024.11.25 16:30 monyarm Need help deciding on the archetypes for a Gestalt Investigator//Swashbuckler
I was thinking for the Investigator, to go with Psychic Detective or Questioner (leaning towards Questioner).
While for the Swashbucker, I'll be going with Noble Fencer, but I can't decide wether to combine it with Daring Infiltrator or Dashing Thief. Both seem nice, but I just can't pick. (Though I am leaning slightly towards Dashing Thief)
The character concept I'm going for is a swashbuckling version of Arsene Lupin.
I would appreciate people's thoughts on the archetypes, and which they think are better.

So, given the title, I've started thinking about pentesting my homelab.
I've gotten my proxmox up now, just got a delivery of extra ram to it (yay) and next week my mb+cpu+ram arrives for my upcoming unraid server.
Now, once I've done disaster-recovery testing and documenting what I've configured I also want to test how my stuff holds up in terms of security.
What do you guys do, to test your environments... find exposed ports, stupid situations where you might have forgotten to update a default password of a service of device etc..
Anything in my home could be a complete disaster from a cyber security perspective imho, I have so many IoT-devices with zero control not even taking my homelab into consideration tbh.
Preferably it would be nice with perhaps a 3rd party service (could consider paying for it) to every once and a while give my home a proper whack.
Any recommendations?

Trying to take this class that’s reserved, waiting for it to open. I see the lecture only had 4 seats left, I’m the 5 th on the waitlist, you think I can still get in? Or even by emailing the professor when the day comes? Or would it be the most saddest tease in the world.
The lab I picked as I was waitlisted for the lecture is full. I’m abit worried about that because I want to see what the other labs are yet don’t want to accidentally miss click and reput myself on the waitlist in the end.
