What do you use for the following security practices? Everything I've looked at is crazy expensive. We are aiming for a level 2 CMMC/Moderate confidence NIST 800-171 certification which requires these.
- SIEM and other auditing tools
- PAM/PIM - users do not have local admin access currently, IT uses a local admin account configured with LAPS for support. IT's day to day accounts are DAs and this needs to change. Is having a separate DA account enough?
- Local MFA - only real choices I've seen here are Duo and Yubikey, but not sure how Yubikey would work across a remote connection. Currently using GoToAssist for that but i believe other products allow passthrough of the Yubikey auth.
- Any other low-budget option for increasing security

Meteoric clues for Mars’ Watery History A recent study led by Marissa Tremblay of Purdue University has precisely dated the Lafayette Meteorite’s (discovered 1931) interaction with liquid water, shedding light on geological processes on the Red Planet nearly 742 million years ago. Published in Geochemical Perspective Letters, the research reveals that water-rock interactions in the meteorite likely resulted from permafrost melting triggered by magmatic activity, rather than widespread surface water. Tremblay and her team used noble gas isotopes to confirm the robustness of this dating method, overcoming challenges posed by the meteorite’s ejection from Mars, its journey through space, and its fiery entry into Earth's atmosphere. The Lafayette Meteorite is part of a rare class called nakhlites, which uniquely preserve evidence of liquid water on Mars. Tremblay’s work highlights meteorites as invaluable tools for investigating ancient Martian habitability.

Steps towards Icy Moon Robotic landers and explorers Some recent work from NASA has tested the feasibility of two concepts pertaining to icy moon landers. The first is a ‘descending melting probe’ which would melt its way through Europa’s thick ice shell. A team at NASA JPL/Caltech calculated the descent time as 22 days to ~4 years for a small cell size, and between 27 to ~103 years for a larger cell size. This means thermal descent probes can be utilised effectively though the lifespan of a mission!
Secondly, NASA have been testing submersible robots to ‘swim’ in the subsurface oceans of icy moons. The swimming robots, dubbed Sensing With Independent Micro-swimmers or SWIM for short, are intended to be the next generation of icy moon explorers after Europa Clipper and JUICE. Recent footage has shown these prototypes working effectively, swimming in a pool. These may be my new favourite rovers!

So I lost my flight, because I didn't know Frankfrut(Hahn) is located in different city, different state, 80 kilometers away from Frankfurt. And I lost my flight and hotel and the whole vacation. I read in other post in reddit, that this airport was previously called Hahn airport, but it was renamed by Ryanair, which baught that airport. And I booked my flight and hotel from Ryanair and they refused to pay me refund.
Lufthansa has sued Ryanair for misleading airport name and misleading advertisment. but apperantly it didn't work.
Now I want to know, as a customer who faced misleading information, what can I do? how can I make a compliment?

I'm not fond of any sports, but interestingly I find motosports exciting. I'm a new female car owner and one time I got a chance na makapanood ng Slalom event and wow, ang saya niya panoorin, it makes me want to learn it and try it as well. Watching it makes me feel at ease for some reason, na-aamaze ako sa cars and sa control ng drivers. I want to try it pero I don't know how to start and also medyo nakakaintimidate rin kasi puro guys mostly ang nakaparticipate.

I’m currently in an Undergraduate course for Biological Sciences, but it doesn’t have as much animal biology as I would have hoped. I am in Year 2. I have queried about doing some Zoological placements next year for my placement year, but would like some education on it too.
I was thinking if there was an online course or something I could do to at least get some more knowledge. I have made a list of the Free courses with open university I’m down to do even if it’s just to put onto my CV. Do you guys think this is worth it? Thanks.

Hoping to make a new friend on this fine day? Well, here I am!
Like a lot of others, I am married with kids, and it isn’t quite all hunky-dory… I work from home (for years, well before the pandemic) and I am not always busy. That leaves a lot of time for me to be stuck in my own head, so I am looking for a friend who can provide a long-term distraction, both during and outside of work hours. I am not really looking to rant. I prefer chatting with someone creative, as maybe that will jumpstart a part of me that I feel I have lost.
About me… I like exercise, long walks, food, TV, movies, and baseball on a nice day. I love basketball and have season tickets to the local pro team (even though that causes me loads of heartache). I am often too sarcastic for my own good.
