I have been offered a job at a FAANG company that would require relocating from Canada to the US. I have a partner (currently unmarried, but not opposed to getting married) who is also Canadian, who I want to bring with me, but who also needs to be able to work.
My company is suggesting a TN, which would allow my partner to come in on a TD, but not work. Im also wondering if they are offering TN simply because its the cheapest and fastest.
I am a bit confused that all the visa avenues seem to state that the partner cannot work (what kind of life is that?). Am I missing something?
My partner could apply for an independent O1, but that is expensive as well as risky—is it reasonable to ask my company to cover my partner’s visa costs as well?
I am at the stage of life where I am not really interested in breaking up my relationship for a job, even if its a great job. And ive made it clear to the company that I wouldnt want to relocate without my partner.
Please advise if you can!

2024.11.25 15:11 Due_Ad3585 Can we talk about pseudogiants and chimeras taking so many bullets to kill?
So there are point in the main story where you are forced to kill these mutants and if for some reason you didn’t bring 100 shells or 300 bullets you’re dead out of luck and have to run to the nearest trader. Luckly I have never had to do this since I legit am always overweight which is another problem I have with this. Like I don’t even know where the weight is coming from cause I’m generally around 50.4 or something so one weapons pickup and it’s over but back to the main point. I am in a mission and I have to kill this chimera to progress but I’m over weight can’t sprint for very long to dodge the jumps. I end up sinking about 6 5.56 mags into it barely missing any then I find this van I can sit in without getting hit so I hunker down and start laying into it with mag fed m870 til I’m down to about 4 shells from 75 (slugs mind you) and it’s still kicking. So I get desperate and bring out skifs pistol 5 mags later it dies like it’s so ridiculous. Like I have an rpg would that be better to roam around with even tho I for sure would be overweight. Does anyone else agree like they shouldn’t be this spongee it’s insane? the one you fight in the arena is a weakened one so it only takes 130 bullets to kill btw.

It hurts to talk now.
I want to talk. But every interaction brings up sad feelings about how this is where we are now. I feel like I’m just talking to the person who hurt me, and I don’t want to talk to that person. I know that’s not all of who you are, though, and that we are both trying to be better. I just don’t think I can get over this part until we actually talk it out.
I wanted to wait till in person. So that I can mitigate the likelihood of overwhelming you via text. I was also trying to give you the space you asked for and didn’t want to distract you. I don’t like limbo myself, but trying to be patient.
But if you need some clarification or wanna talk now, just let me know. You can be as straight up as possible. If you are worried about how something will be perceived, just make whatever it is crystal clear. I don’t want either one of us overthinking. My brain has already tried to cover all possibilities. The hardest one would be that you’ve decided you don’t like me, don’t want to be friends, and you just needed to get a few things off your chest before moving on (and getting together is just a pity closure talk for me). Cue abandonment. There. That’s the hardest outcome. I haven’t figured out my response for that yet, although I’m pretty sure I know what it would be. You probably do, too. But.. this doesn’t seem to be going that direction .. so whatever else, I’m trying to be as objective and realistic as possible.
I’m ready to talk whenever you are.. but also, will never be ready either. I need to know you as the person you are now in order to know if we can move forward. I think we can maybe get to a good place again. It’s just going to take some time, and patience from both of us.
Thank you for your letters.. if that is you. They are helpful and give me hope.

I haven't seen a lot of Legacies in close detail but I think that the Mikaelson's being thrown in the Malivore would have been a nice gap between The Originals and Legacies and dealt with the issue of the Actors.
Could have had the Mikaelson thrown in there, Hope could know. I could explain the connection between Hope and Malivore.

2024.11.25 15:11 Sandushki Python terminal running project when trying to create database?
So I am creating a project that is using flask_sqlalchemy's SQLAlchemy, and I created the class and everything just fine, and when I was creating the database using the following functions respectively in the terminal,
python3 from main import app, db --this step made the project run
app.app_context().push() --this gave an error in the terminal
db.create_all()
the project runs instead of creating a .db file in the 'instance' folder automatically created.
