2024.11.25 17:29 InactiveDirectory Docker Desktop Upgraded and now Complains of being Unable to update WSL
Hello, I recently updated a machines Docker Desktop version to latest.
When launching I am greeted with this message:

I cannot run wsl --update since this machine has no internet access.
I have tried going to this page and downloading the latest Kernal and running it. Manual installation steps for older versions of WSL | Microsoft Learn
I have also tried going to Microsoft’s GitHub and installing the latest release manually via .MSI - Release 2.3.26 · microsoft/WSL · GitHub
If I run wsl --version I see that it is correctly installed as version 2.3.26
After finally rebooting the issue is still not resolved and I get the same in the screenshot above.
Any ideas?
Edit: the only thing that fixes this is rolling back the version of Docker Desktop, but obviously that’s not sustainable.

Hallo liebe Community,
ich habe Probleme mit Konzentrationsstörungen und habe die Diagnose ADS erhalten. Leider haben die bisherigen Medikamente, von verschiedenen ADS-Präparaten bis hin zu Antidepressiva, keine Wirkung gezeigt. Psychotherapie hatte ich auch schon vom analytisch, zu kognitiv. Jedoch habe ich Mühe mit der Umsetzung. Mein Psychiater schlägt vor, dass ich IV beantragen soll, da ich aktuell wieder arbeitslos bin. Doch ich möchte diesen Schritt nicht gehen, sondern lieber eine neurologische Untersuchung machen lassen, um herauszufinden, warum ich diese Konzentrationsprobleme habe.
Mein Psychiater erwartet von mir eine einseitige Erklärung aufs Papier, warum ich keine IV beantragen möchte. Vielleicht könnt ihr mir helfen, überzeugende Gründe zu formulieren oder eure eigenen Erfahrungen und Tipps teilen?
Hier sind meine persönlichen Gründe, warum ich keine IV möchte: - IV löst meine Konzentrationsprobleme nicht. - Ich möchte trotz allem eine normale Karriere aufbauen. - Mit IV verdient man oft weniger Geld. - Menschen sehen oft auf IV-Bezüger herab und grenzen sie aus. - Das System bietet meiner Meinung nach nicht die Unterstützung, die ich brauche, sondern schafft zusätzliche Hürden.
Ausserdem hat mein Vater IV, und ich habe durch ihn gesehen, wie schwer es ist mit diesem IV zu leben, aber der Psychiater akzeptiert meine bisherigen Begründungen nicht, sondern möchte mich zum IV drängen.
Ich freue mich über eure Unterstützung und eure Perspektiven!

2024.11.25 17:29 Lryuen_2 Anyone unable to play FC 24 Fifer realism mod after OCT 6th.
I just cannot progress past the 6th of OCT using fifer realism mod squad file, the game would crash every time i advance past the date. I tried create a new save and holiday past the same date to find out if the same problem occur, and it does. I created another career mode save but this time using the normal squad file and there appear to be no problems at all, so I think it is because of the squad file?
Also, I have even tried different version of the squad file, one from Vip3r and one on fifa infinity mod with the updated ratings, and still, no good. I wonder if anyone have the same problem as me.

So basically, I'm in a predicament where I might not have insurance due to my controlling parents. For context, my parents are super conservative Protestant Christians and tend to be controlling.
My current insurance is abouut to end this month and I am supposed to get a new insurance in january, but my parents refused to give me my current insurance card/information so i had to directly call them for my insurance information, with this info i was able to get my first dose of the hpv vaccine and seek mental help for my anxiety, something that my parents were aganist, now that my current insurance is going to expire I will have to go through the process of trying to get my information for my new insurance, but this time i dont think it will work because my new insurance is provided by my moms hospital compared to my current insurance where it was medicad, what makes this situation worse is that I have a upcoming appointment in jan to get my 2nd dose of my hpv vaccine and a upcoming appointment in december to get medication for my anxiety , and my current insurance will end this month(something i just recently figured out).
Im just so frustrated. Even into adulthood (I am 18), I still feel controlled and limited due to my parents controlling actions. I don't know what to do if I can't get access to my new insurance; I don't know if I will be able to get my 2nd dose of my HPV shot; I don't know if my impacted wisdom teeth will get worse and ruin my other teeth without any treatment.

I use a Corsair (UK Layout), and the RGB is great. I have a solid backlight, with keypress colour changes, and some other effects (e.g. backspace sends a red streak, and Space sends a white streak). I really like visual feedback from the keys.
Corsair stopped making silent keyboards. And many premium keyboards have very basic RGB.
Is there any TKL, UK layout keyboard with custom light triggers? Either silent, or hot-swappable for silent switches?

2024.11.25 17:29 Traditional_Tie3671 Should bipolar disorder diagnosis be disclosed in an assault with bodily harm court case?
My partner has been charged with assault with bodily harm and we are going through the legal process now. The incident occurred earlier this year in April and he got his evaluation and diagnosis in July and has been stable on medication since then.
We are in a disagreement as to whether or not sharing the bipolar diagnosis with the lawyer is necessary. I believe this could be a mitigating factor to at least lessen the penalty/conviction.
Any advice would be very appreciated.
