Hi! I'm a beginner climber (only indoors) and my fear of heights and of falling down is hindering me from improving in my bouldering skills. I fell once from the top of a, honestly, not so tall route and now I cannot even reach the top of the easiest ones. I'm pretty anxious and I get scared pretty easily, but I'd like to conquer at least this fear. Do you have any tips?

My now ex gf and I started talking last year in November right after my birthday. Everything was good in the beginning. then she started becoming distant and inconsistent. We became official in July.I truly did love her but I felt like I was giving her too many chances. Throughout the whole relationship, she didn't do anything for me. I realized she only wanted me to give her attention and to build her confidence and ego. I also realize she was lying alot because her stories she told didn't make since at all. I think the last straw was when she stood me up for the 3rd time this past weekend. No calls or text at all. It's like she just ghosted me. Before that, She didn't even send me a card for my birthday and then at the last minute wanted me to travel to see her on a buddy pass and just come there for few hours. She knew about this a whole 2 months in advance and kept making excuses. smh! Last time we talked was last Wednesday. Last time I heard from her through text was Friday. I even reached out to her sister yesterday asking if she heard from her. When I called several times it went straight to voicemail, so I stopped calling. seriously I get so tired of running into toxic people. After I reached out to her sister, Hour later I saw she viewed my profile on tik tok. She saw the message i sent her and never replied. Seriously, she's 40 years old and ask childish. The whole time I was constantly telling her the same thing over and over. The relationship felt like a friendship then anything because she would go days without calling or texting.
I told her sister maybe she need some space and I'll let her reach out. But i don't think I'm going to do that. I believe the only reason she gifted me expensive shoes was to reel me in and to give my trust to her. I decided either I send them back to her or give them away to a kid who actually need shoes. Because at this point, I don't want to have anything she gave me to mind me of her. She showed no effort at all and was always making excuses. She never apologize for anything that happened. I realized she never cared about me. As of today, I decided to do no contact. I will delete her from all social media. I really loved her but it's a shame that she couldn't be honest with me. Again, I feel she's really a narcissist or just toxic. I also feel she been cheating but I can't prove it at all. I had to actually educate myself on narcissist people. I'm just saying that I feel mad and pissed about the whole situation because I let go on for this long when I should've been let her go. But I'm letting her go this time and I can actually start to heal. I just refuse to go into 2025 unhappy.

2024.11.25 17:30 itsMooonyy What are some good speaker setups for a desk/small room setup?
Recently at my school I rented out a room that had a very nice sound system that I loved being in and made me want to invest in my own set of speakers and audio interface. In the room there was a pair of Genelec, not sure of the exact model but one of the 8000 series ones, and then also and audient evo 16 audio interface which I really enjoyed because of the speaker control buttons and single nob that could control all the audio inputs.
At home I am running a onyx artist 1.2 audio interface, with DT 990 Pros, and a AT2020 mic. However I have been wanting to upgrade my setup and add some nice speakers so I don't always have to use headphones. Primarily what I am looking for is something that has really good quality in sound since I believe I can just pair it with a subwoofer for the bass. I had a friend that has a cheaper system recommend me a 3.1 channel sound bar and subwoofer set from Samsung that seemed pretty budget friendly and sound really. What other options are out there that would be more budget friendly for personal use and nothing too crazy within the ~$300 range if possible. I am open to more expensive as well, so any suggestions would be very helpful.

I made a post similar to this around a year ago and enjoyed the transparency. I wanted to update it now that the game feels like it has not been prioritizing card acquisition in a way that's even remotely beneficial to the consumer. I feel almost every single change SD has made in the last year has been anti-consumer (overall reduction of the amount of gold bundles, removal of high-value Token Tuesdays, twice-a-year series drops with extremely middling cards each drop "Flexible Series Drops", could go on...). I'd like it to be known that I thoroughly enjoy and love the gameplay of Snap; it's uniqueness and quick pace is arguably what has kept it afloat as of recent. I actually managed to onboard three IRL friends to play the game last month (one even bought the Surtur season pass), and as much as I want them to continue the slog through the series', I can't in good faith tell them to continue to invest time into a game that makes acquiring cards such a mission and a slog. How can I tell them to spend $50-$100 on the game to obtain A SINGLE card? How can you propose that to anyone in 2024 with a straight face? I genuinely wished for the game to find a way to find a healthier middle ground between the insane greed as of recent (I understand companies need to company and capitalism needs to capital), but it just doesn't seem like finding that happy medium is a priority. It feels like the more that time goes on, the more this entire game feels like a delayed rug-pull, and they're just milking the whales for what they're worth before the game dies in a handful of years. But please be patient, more news on improved acquisition coming soon!!!!
