I have cycled for a few years now, been through two bikes - slowly upgrading things and improving the bike when and where I can.
I have a desire for a new bike but wonder for this next bike is it better to go for a second hand bike that when new was worth let’s, 4 or 5k, and get it for 3k or should I get a brand new bike for 2.5k and spend the remainder of budget on a bike fit and getting it really tailored and suited to me, my riding style and body.
For the new bike I would approach a bike shop and look for a start to finish product.
I know a bit about bikes from riding and doing maintenance but not enough to fully fully know what I am looking at when I look second hand..
I often wonder about things like stem length and height, crank lengths, etc with a second hand bike..

I ask for the city to make the square more secure, possible putting up fencing around the square, like other food cart pods have. Hey Reddit, I need some advice about a situation in my relationship that's been weighing on me. I’ve been dating an amazing girl for four months now, and everything seemed perfect at first. We clicked instantly, and one of the main things that attracted me to her was her traditional values. She doesn’t have many close guy friends, which I appreciated, and we agreed that I’d take care of everything financially when we get married. We’ve been progressing really fast, with both of our parents knowing about us, and we’ve even gone on vacation together and planned a couple more. She’s been incredibly loving, respectful, and attentive, and I’m proud to be with her. But here’s where things started to get complicated. On our last vacation, I noticed something that made me uneasy. She got a message from an ex-colleague (a guy) who sent her a reel, and it turned out she had been sending reels to him as well. We had an understanding that there wouldn’t be any guy friends while we were together, and this didn’t sit well with me. Now, before you label me insecure, let me explain: I made my expectations clear from the start. I take care of her in every way, financially and emotionally, and when we went on vacation, I paid for everything—flights, hotels, meals, you name it.
