In general, some adjectives go with certain prepositions, but some adjectives can go with more than one preposition (and context will determine which preposition fits better, though in many cases the use of one preposition doesn't rule out other prepositions, as the meaning doesn't really change). @J.R.: You might (with some justification, I guess) accuse me of "talking down" to learners, but I think my link in the previous comment shows quite clearly that over is very uncommon compared to the alternatives. @randomhead Ditto. Native English speaker here and "It's ok with me" is perfectly fine. Maybe it is regional, I don't know, and maybe the phrase "dog's hackles were up" is also regional because that's something I would never, ever think to say :). I am just a bit confused about the "purpose" phrases. I've googled all those phases below with quotation marks and find they are more of less used in articles or scientific papers. Hi, I have used Factor, Chef Unity, and now trying Hungry Roots, and I have always been disappointed with the quality. It doesn't taste good. The portion sizes are too small. The packaging is bad. And no-one seems to do a good job. Is there a niche company doing something different, and the product taste better?

So as the title says I've been making a dnd campaign set in the world of fable 2 it's been relatively easy mechanics wise because the strategy guide for the fable games are layed out almost exactly like the books for dnd and I've been using chat gpt to help me fill in some of the cracks where the strategy guide can't help me but right now I'm having trouble with the story originally I wanted to do it either the main story or parallel with the story if that makes sense but was just wanting to hear some ideas from other fans of the series.

2024.11.25 21:21 IsolatedCrustacean My first proof copy just arrived
To say the least, I'm disappointed. It's a paperback, and the cover feels very flimsy. From just a five-minute flip through, it already shows signs of bending. Like, this is not going to hold up over multiple readings. The texture feels strange too, in a way I can't describe, but I felt I needed to wash my hands after touching it. There are some dirt smudges on it, which I assume came during the printing process since they're not part of the image I uploaded, but it's a minor complaint. More importantly, the cover image has faint traces of banding, like you'd see in low quality .jpgs, even though I uploaded a .pdf and went through GREAT pains to convert it to CMYK. My version of Photoshop can only do RGB-8, and I made sure to change it over to CMYK before uploading since that supposedly gives you better colors. Mine still seem washed out and muddied. It looked far better on my screen, regardless of format.
That aside, the interior paper feels about the same as your average printer paper, that is, not very sturdy. I got the white paper, so I'm not sure if cream would have been any better. While it's serviceable, I'm not sure about my margins. The instructional .pdf from Amazon says specifically NOT to enter a value for the “gutter” in the word processor. I use LibreOffice, and I left the gutter box at 0.00” with top, left, and right margins all at 0.60,” and bottom at 0.50.” All those are great, but the words do creep uncomfortably far into the binding where the gutter would be, leading me to believe maybe I should have put something there after all. It's readable, but I have to open the book really wide, which goes back to the issue earlier of the cover bending easily. What do you guys put for your gutter value, if anything?
Overall, I'd say I'm a 4/10 on the satisfied scale. It definitely has a very “amateur” and “self-published” feel to it. I know there's a level of compromise with print-on-demand, and I'm not expecting the same level of quality I get in my leather-bound, gold-trimmed collectors novels, but even the cheapo kid's paperbacks I'd get in elementary school had more durability to them. I still have some of them from 30 years ago beside me now to compare with.
I'm wondering if I should scrap the whole idea of paperback and just try again for a hardcover, but I still worry the image quality issue would remain. Maybe I would be better off re-submitting the cover as RGB after all? It says mine was printed at the Las Vegas branch, if that makes any difference. Not that it gave me any choices.

Hi, I have just bought a 350z which has Eibach lowering springs on it (unsure which ones, the receipt the previous owner provided only say Eibach springs) but they are just too low for every day use (have torn the skin of the resonator going over speed bumps. What springs do people recommend which 1) lower the car for a better look and 2) are drivable and suitable for everyday use. The current setup is fine for 80% of the bumps I’ve gone over so far but I do need to drive slowly over every bump I come across
