History:
I installed an Annke. I HATE the NVR, finding the relevant 20 seconds of video is almost impossible.
Christmas 2024:
Mom's comment: "I wish I had a way to see what is eating the shop cat's food. I think it is raccoons, but I wish I had a camera."
So I'm thinking a security camera system. The shop has power, and installing PoE is trivial, I have a spare PoE switch sitting in my garage, my wife would love to see leave. There is already a Cat 5e cable running to network closet in the house. Then Mom could sit at her computer web browser and see the shop cat eating area. The NVR MUST be user friendly. If I install something challenging to an 80 year old, it will be a thorn, not a Christmas gift. She needs no phone integration.
I'm hoping for 2 features:
1) Smooth scrolling
2) Still images when something (raccoon, cat, person) is detected.
Here is the workflow I envision.
She sits at her computer.
Observes a time stamped still image which she finds interesting
She scrolls the video to that time, and watches something interesting happen.
I've read the UNVR is the best NVR for scrolling. Do you have successful experience? Is my workflow reasonable? Is UNVR Standard really better than Reolink at 70% of the price?

2024.11.25 21:19 Upbeat-Armadillo1756 Driver profile defaulting to driver 2 intermittently
The Mach E is primarily my wife's car, but we both have profiles on it as I'll drive it in to work on days she doesn't work.
We've had it for a few months and she's mentioned that when she's getting in at work to come home (among other times), it goes to my profile. I'm nowhere near the car, my key fob is at home, and she was the last one to drive it.
I deleted my profile and made it again and it still does this.
It's not a huge issue because she just presses the button on the door to change to her profile, but it's still annoying that it does this.
Anyone dealt with this? Any ideas?

So I am going to obviate the state of the team right now and go right into my question because your team will always be your team, in the good and bad.
So I was always a Soccer person but I always had the Giants and Jets in the background since I am from North Jersey but never really dove into the sport. Fast forward some years, I start dating this girl from Philly whos crazy about every sport her city has and I kind of fall in love with football and start liking the Eagles.
Thing is, the Giants draw me in way more than the Eagles, but I don't know a whole lot about the culture and whatnot.
My question is how do I go about tailgating? I've only been to two tailgates ever and it was for the Eagles.
Any help is appreciated!

I have really bad allodynia (skin pain, like a burning sensation or sore to the touch) on my head, neck, and scalp. I've used Noxzema in the past for Seborrheic Dermatitis and although it didn't work (only Nizoral did), i think it would really help soothe my allodynia during flareups because of the camphor, eucalyptus, and menthol. However, I've since found out that they aren't cruelty free and that's something I avoid in skincare products. Is anyone aware of a cleanser or face lotion that shares the cooling ingredients while being cruelty free?

Hey everybody,
I'm sure all of us on SAVE are in a similar boat. I figure I have two options.
- Change to PAYE in Dec when the option is available again. This will be based on the 2023 tax year and my payment will be roughly $265.
- Hold tight in SAVE where my payment until April 2025 is $34. Assuming SAVE continues (I know, I know) that would make my next payment increase to about $170 on SAVE.
Should I bite the bullet and just sign up for PAYE now and have $260 payments locked in?
Should I hold out and see if my recert (early April) gets pushed back 12 months?
What if SAVE is paused until midterms? What if it resumes in March 2025? Something in between?
If we aren't kicked off SAVE and forced to pay another plan until June 2025 then I would breakeven compared to switching to PAYE in a few weeks. For every month past June 2025 that SAVE is still in forbearance is a net "gain".
What do?
TL;DR: Switch to PAYE in a few weeks and lock in $260 payments or ride the SAVE chaos and potentially have $475 payments once SAVE dies or $0 if SAVE stays on forbearance until midterms as some have speculated?

Thought this might be helpful for people:
I bought tickets to Fatboy Slim back in August and they sold out soon after. The week before the show last Saturday there were HUNDREDS available on resale sites at face value or less. I had friends drop out and put mine up for resale (a little too late as they ended up not selling).
If you can’t get tickets to a show, search for them on resale websites a week or two before, particularly if they’ve sold out weeks/months in advance.
