Hi, I have been trying to find a good screwdriver set with 1/4" bits (preferrably both 1/4" and precision bits) but I can only find "precision screwdrivers". Are 1/4" bits simply not a thing on AE or am I using the wrong keywords?

Hi all,
I was approached by a UK recruiter for a data engineering position in the Netherlands and normally I would stay far away from these guys, but he had an interesting offer. Not only was the tech stack exactly what I was looking for, but the daily rate was 20% higher than what I am invoicing now and with only 1d/week onsite required. Even with 2 companies in between me and the end client, something I usually avoid, this looks like a pretty sweet deal compared to my current situation.
So this had led me to think, if these guys can offer me 20% more, what about working with only 1 intermediary or directly for the end client? The problem is that I have no Dutch network and the only gigs I get are from UK recruiters. So is anyone of you working in the Netherlands and how have you found your projects? Are there any consulting firms or intermediaries that you can recommend or to stay away from?

 | Hallo zusammen, ich habe ein Problem mit meinem FI-Schalter und hoffe, hier Hilfe zu finden. Mein FI-Schalter (25A, 0,03A) schützt zwei Sicherungen: Eine für die Gastherme/Heizung und eine für das Treppenhauslicht sowie die Außenbeleuchtung (mit Bewegungsmeldern). Kürzlich hat der FI ausgelöst, aber beide Sicherungen blieben drin. Beim Versuch, die Sicherungen nacheinander wieder einzuschalten, ist der FI jedes Mal sofort wieder geflogen – unabhängig davon, welche Sicherung ich zuerst eingeschaltet habe. Nach ein paar Minuten ging es dann plötzlich wieder, und der FI blieb an. Jetzt aktuell funktioniert es auch weiterhin ohne Probleme. Die beiden Sicherungen scheinen verschiedene Stromkreise zu schützen, aber der FI fliegt bei beiden. Könnte es also ein Problem mit einem gemeinsamen Neutralleiter oder dem FI selbst sein? I just did a dumb amount of ratings and math and figured out that overall, my highest rated generation is Kalos at 3.19 stars on average, and least favorite is Unova at 2.87 stars on average. Interestingly, Kalos has my highest percentage of liked Pokemon at 38%, but it’s actually Sinnoh that has the highest percentage of disliked at 27%. Unova just didn’t have enough that I liked to beat out Sinnoh for second-lowest rated. I feel like a lot of people dislike Kalos but apparently not me! Very curious if anyone else is willing to do this stupid math to share theirs 🤣

2024.11.25 19:23 tinyhousegirl Gauging Interest/Advice for a Tiny Community Outside Chicago
Hello friends!
I recently came into a piece of property about 90 min outside of Chicago, and as a tiny houser, of course my first thought was to start my own community! I remember when I got my first tiny house back in 2016, the biggest problem I had was trying to find a place to park it. Specifically somewhere that wasnt just some chainlink enclosed boat parking lot or 2 week maximum national park campsite.
Sooo I am thinking to create something that is exactly what I was looking for, and wanted to see if it would be something that anyone in the community had any advice about/see if it is still a need. So, here is my concept, let me know what you think!
The property is around 40 acres and so I am thinking to create parking spots with electric and water hookups for people who want to bring their own tinies. We also have many trees on the property and the equipment to move them, so to give each spot some privacy, I plan to surround parking spot with some healthy not too tall trees.
I also have a few barns on the property that I think could make some amazing communal spaces with maybe a communal kitchen in one, and a big lounge/dancing/gathering place in another. I also want to dedicate some of the space to a community garden, some to raise goats and/or chickens, and an area for a really big fire pit and gazebo. I am thinking to have community showers/bathrooms as well for our van life friends. There is also a big creek that runs through the property that I am thinking to add some hiking trails around. My tiny house was all off the grid, and my favorite thing I ever did was invest in a wood burning outdoor hot tub, and I would definitely like to have at least one of those on this property as well for everyone to enjoy!
I am worried though because it is so far out from the main city of Chicago (but still a maybe 10min drive from gas stations and shops). That I worry people may not be interested in coming so far out to live the tiny life.
