2024.11.25 19:39 revlid What Underworlds warbands should become "generic"?
The Skaven and Stormcast Eternals battletomes both included Warhammer Underworlds warbands that left Legends and were converted into "generic" hero+retinue options for those factions. The Stormcast lost all their Sacrosanct wizards, so they picked up the thunderstrike-armoured Stormcoven as a generic wizard hero set. The Skaven, meanwhile, replaced the outright ancient Plague Priest model with the newer Skabbik's Plaguepack warband, as a new plastic Plague Priest with some buddies.
What other warbands should make the leap in this way?
Warbands that are just newer versions of really old hero/elite models are an obvious shoe-in, for me. Hrothgorn's Mantrappers would be perfect as a "new" Frostbrow Hunter with a hunting retinue, for example, and the new Jaws of Itzl are straight-up just an updated Sunblood and his two buddies. After the Plague Priest got replaced by a WHU warband, I was actually surprised that the Gutter Runners didn't get the same treatment – Skittershank's Clawpack would make a perfect five-model elite Eshin unit.
The other option is for warbands that occupy a hero role which isn't currently filled, but aren't totally weird and obviously unique. I'd be totally unsurprised to see Da Kunnin' Krew show up in Kruleboyz as a Snatchaboss on foot (with buddies) for example, or Cities of Sigmar pick up Hexbane's Hunters as an Azyrite Hunter Band.
I think the only ones I'd take totally off the table are warbands which have literally been supplanted by a regular unit or hero – there's no point adding Morgok's Krushas or Rippa's Snarlfangs, for example, they're just Brute Ragerz and Snarlfang Riders – and those which are clearly uniquely weird characters. Zondara's Gravebreakers aren't likely to show up in Soulblight Gravelords unless there's a sudden outbreak of beast-zombie necromancers with werewolf boyfriends.

How long should I leave my frog underneath the substrate? He/she is abt 5-6ish months old but went under the substrate so far where I cannot necessarily place where he/she is. It is feeding time but I want to know if I should dig up the tank to find them or if I should just leave it until they come back up? This is the second time they have done this and the first time I got scared they were like stuck or something (idek 😂) so I redid the entire tank and found him/her through that.
When feeding should I did him/her up every time it’s their scheduled feeding??!
Any and all advice is always appreciated for my Ferb man 🫶🐸!!

Hello friends!
I am a new hirudo medicinalis owner after inheriting them from a friend. I keep mine in a jar with a cheesecloth rubberbanded over top and am currently working on making a better tank for them.
Here's my issue: i was gifted 5 leeches. last week I left my apartment for 3 days and when I came back there were only 4. There is no evidence of a body, nor is there evidence of escape. From what i've read, this species only cannibalizes each other by blood sucking until death, not flesh eating. Their water seemed to get dirty faster than it has in the past, but I also wonder if that has to do with me using different types of water (tap water left out for over 24 hours instead of purified spring water from a gallon jug).
Does anyone have any idea what could have happened?

I’m a 26-year-old English Norwegian who’s mainly lived his whole life in the United Kingdom and graduated from university with a degree in Computer Networks and is now working as a SSDA for the local government. (Senior Service Desk Analyst)
A little bit about me; - I’m an introvert and I tend to avoid public crowds, events and such, mostly I just try to vibe with friends on a nice game. - I’m an avid IT nerd and will most likely remain this way for my whole career as IT is my education and career at this point. - On top of IT, you guessed it, I’m also an avid “gamer” I mainly play PC and PS5 games, some of my current interests being Star Wars: The Fallen Order, and Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Outlaws, amongst a few other things like WoW, CoD, SWTOR and so on. - I love learning, whether it be history, game lore, languages, cultures, etc. You name it, and I’ll probably be interested in it (Trust me, you give me a flag of any country, and I’ll be able to tell you the country’s name and political structure). - I’m also an avid book reader and you’ll most likely see my shelf full of different manga from all types of genres, I don’t particularly watch anime, I mainly read instead, because I find it more “interesting” for better or not. (Not that I'm opposed to watching it) - I’m trying to learn to cook myself, but I am not very good at it as during my most recent attempt I ended up giving myself food poisoning, so it’s sufficient to say you will have a big gamble if you’d like me to cook ha-ha.
- I do watch football from time to time and do support a few clubs from around the world (mainly northern Europe, the UK, and the US) feel free to guess if you’d like!
- I’m currently on a VLCD and have lost about 3 stone over the course of 3 months, which I’m super happy about.
In terms of looks and such I’m what an average 26-year-old would look like who is 6’1’’/6’2’’, picture on request.
Please don’t judge too much as I’m still working on improving myself.
What am I about? I’ve always made it a goal to help, care for, and support those close to me, whether it be friends, old friends, or the equivalent of my family. They’ve been there for me, and I’ll go hell and back for them as they’ve stood by me through thick and thin, even through the loss of other close friends; they’ve picked me up and brushed me down and set me straight to which I will always forever be in their debt and have helped them being.
Whilst I’ve been shot and backstabbed by many of those who I thought were close to me I just try to see the positive and avoid the unnecessary drama and arguments as life is just way too generally short for that kind of stuff and we should all get along with each other in my mind.
What am I looking for? I apologize if this comes off as really picky - Someone in the region of the US, Canada or Europe - Someone between the age of 20 to 28 years old - Someone who has an interest in IT, manga, gaming, and such (It’s easier to talk to people with the same interests, though you don’t need to work in IT at all) - Just be a kind, honest individual who I can back and vice versa.
