Cada vez veo con mas frecuencia esto de practicas o pasantías de 3, 4, hasta 6 meses sin remuneración. Mas allá de que puedas ganar experiencia, tenes que trabajar 1/3 de año sin recibir un peso, como te bancas? Jamas vi esto en otros rubros. Creo que se bastardea la profesión, que opinan?

what are the daily duties as a regular team member ? i’ve never worked at a gas station before but i’ve been considering it for a while. i’m currently a security guard but i’m not really sure it’s what i like doing , but at least it made me used to working overnights . i have 9 years retail experience, and a little bit of food service. my main question is it like a ton of food service work ?

For context, I have been living with the people who adopted me, since 7th grade. They had adopted me during Covid so it was before they even adopted me, that I was already living with them. These people took me in and have been the family I needed. I never had a stable family until them, and even then, I was already a teenager and my brain was already wired to what I had previously known. I mention this because I was used to doing things out of rebellion to get attention. This eventually happened with the family that adopted me and they all changed their opinions on me. Rightfully so, the other kids in the house were good and did nothing wrong. I was in fact the problem child. It felt like I had eventually started getting backed up into a corner. I never intended to do anything wrong but I was a child and still learning. I had started to feel like an outcast. I got in trouble a few times after that big incident but since then, I really tried my best to please them and do whatever I could for them. I gave so much of myself to each and everyone in the family even when I didn’t have anything. I rarely ask for help, and I try to be as independent as I can be. I am in college now, (I had been waiting years to get out of that house because I was in a constant negative headspace and wanted to unalive myself at many points. I didn’t ever want to burden the people who adopted me so I always tried to downplay how I was feeling. It got to the point where I was so close to ending it all but the only thing that was stopping me was how everybody else would react. I didn’t want to be a bigger burden than I already was. I got told I was the “boy who cried wolf’ because I wasn’t going to harm myself and because I didn’t want to go to the hospital to get help.) I am paying for it myself, and I still don’t ask for any help. I have tried to distance myself because I feel as if I am more happy and in a better head space when I don’t worry about them. My mom (who adopted me) is always texting me about how I’m skipping classes and asking if im buying drugs, monitoring my location at all times, making me feel guilty for drinking while being in college, etc. My sister (through me being adopted) goes to the same college as me and has always been ‘better’ than me. I don’t ever think my mom monitors her location as she does mine. My sister also stalks my location and tells me I am doing terrible things. The only things my parents do for me: im on their phone plan (I pay for my own phone bill monthly) im on their health insurance, and they gave me a car which they pay the insurance for. I truly never ask for help because it always seems to be transactional. I have often question their intent in adopting me in the first place. There is a bunch of other things that lead into the story but it’s just too much to get into. The main thing that made me write this reddit was the fact that my mom texted me today saying “Hello, checking in…have you been not going to class” and I told her it was break. She replied saying oh I forgot. This makes me question things though because like I said before, my sister is in college as well. You’re going to text me about it but not her? She always stalks my location and when she knows I haven’t been to class she will still be like, “How was class today?” to antagonize me. But AITAH for wanting to be left alone? I turn 19 in less than a week and I still feel like I can’t live my life for myself.

I accidentally had overlapping Medicaid and marketplace insurance for two months this year. Due to receiving a denial letter from medicaid, I legitimately thought I was eligible for an open enrollment period, so I signed up for marketplace insurance and paid two months of premiums with advance tax credits used for them.
I canceled my marketplace coverage as soon as I found out about the Medicaid still being active, which was shortly into the second month of both being active. It turns out they had moved me to a different case and type of medicaid because they did not get the documents showing I was self employed.
It took several months, but eventually Medicaid reviewed my case and deemed me ineligible going forward due to my income. I enrolled again with the marketplace again for December.
I know being self employed I am able to use the amount I paid out of pocket for premiums to reduce income.
I also know I will owe the entire premiums at tax time due to not being eligible for advance tax credits for the two months. Does this mean I could deduct the entire premium for the two months I had overlapping insurance?
This doesn’t seem like something I should do or would be able to do for the two months they overlapped, but I can’t find any documentation on it. The documentation I see says you cannot deduct the premiums if you had or were eligible for employer provided health care.
Does anyone know if this rule applies to any other insurance you had at the same time as marketplace insurance? It seems like it should and maybe I missed the rule that says that, but so far I am not seeing anything in regards to this.

Hey yall I saw a lot of newer players making very similar mistakes and I wanted to give some tips and tricks that have helped me. I made a video explaining all the decisions I was making in real-time. The video itself is mostly hero-sided so you won't get much advice for playing Skaven. I am by far not the best so please feel free to mention any tips that I did not mention, but if you don't want to watch here are the main takeaways:
- You have to keep moving. Moving towards the next objective is vital for survival, that means ignoring hordes that are behind you and resisting the urge to hunt for specials. It also means sometimes you have to let your teammates die because they are too far behind. The longer the heroes stay in one spot the easier it is for the rats to organize and kill your entire team.
- Tag everything you can. Tagging makes your life and your teams' life so much easier. The couple seconds of wallhack you get can not be understated
-Listen for audio cues. Skaven make a boatload of noise, especially Hookrat and Assassin. Keep an ear out for them and you will be able to kill a lot more specials
Side Tangent: There are a lot of new players with versus, and people need to understand that. There is no reason to flame someone who doesn't even have a skull in their rank/hero level under 35. It's childish and will only turn people away.

My entire backyard is covered with weeds. My neighbours tell me they’re invasive although I don’t know the kind. I’ve tried spraying it with a weed killer with no luck.
My plan is to cover the entire backyard with landscaping fabric so that the weeds die and hopefully don’t come back in the spring. I’ve never used landscaping fabric before. Is it useful to cover a yard with this material?
