This year I'm doing a turkey in my standard issue charcoal weber kettle grill for the first time. I trying to read up on the process/watch YouTube videos, etc. but no two people do it the same way. I'm confused on these points, wonder what people's experience says about these:
- Should I put the bird in a roasting pan on the grill, or should I put the bird directly on the grill and put the roasting pan underneath next to the coals?
- Should I add some liquid to the roasting pan? If so, what? Wine, cider, water?
- Does the bird need to be covered in foil?
- Should I brine the turkey?
- Should I stuff the turkey?
- Should I add wood chips of some sort?
- Do I need to add news charcoals part way through the process or not?

Hi. So last night I had a dream my heart stopped and I was brought back to life. I don’t remember anything but it was like I was literally outside of my body watching myself and my heart stopped and then someone gave me a shot and I was brought back to life. My mom’s always told me when you die in your dream you die in real life which obviously isn’t true because I am alive but I’m also terrified. I’ve never had a dream that I have died I’ve always jumped up before I died in it. I’m really scared to even sleep I’m sooo tired but I just can’t even take a nap because I’m terrified. My heart occasionally feels like it “skips” beat and it did it once today so I’m scared. I’ve had plenty of EKGS everything is fine but I’m so scared of cardiac arrest. My OCD has flared up so bad because of this dream and I’ve had panic attacks all day about it. I’m scared it was like a “warning” that it’s going to happen. Has this happened to anyone? I do have like panic disorder, OCD, and all that good stuff. So I do think about my health like a lot. But this genuinely has never happened. Like for a good couple hours of the day I basically convinced myself I was like dead because my dream was sooo scary and felt so real.

Hello Everyone,
I’ve been applying for jobs and interviewing for over a year while unemployed. Out of frustration, I decided to embellish my resume by tweaking timelines and job titles from the past seven years. Most of the positions listed are accurate but shortened but I fabricated one role entirely.
Here’s the situation: I’m an expat who’s been working for euro companies for the last six years. I’ve now secured a job offer in California, but the employer requires a background check through Checkr. Am I fucked?
For context, I’ve frozen my TWN account and am not overly worried about European employers due to GDPR protections—or should I be? Is there a similar system like TWN I should freeze? Will a speeding ticket from 2016 in CA I forgot about and never went to court for come up as a warrant or something?
Please be kind and I saw other posts about Checkr on this sub so I hope this is the right place. This role is a step back in my career with lower pay but I was desperate and took a gamble. I am overqualified for the position but it seems the embellishments made my application stand out.

Hey! so I'm moving into golden pond here soon and they apparently have had an issue with subletting/subleasing recently as they tell me. I plan on moving in as the only one on the lease but my girlfriend who lives with her family will probably be over all the time, 5-6/7 days of the week. She will not be paying rent, just me, but I don't want to run into any issues. she has very bad rental history so wouldn't be able to get on the lease for a couple months even if she tried. What do I do? Anyone live here have advice?
