I live with my mother in the same property and have done for 15 years. It is willed to me but still in her name. I look after her, manage the house and finances. She now has serious health needs and is in and out of hospital. She has carers.
My health also declined over the years and I now also have disabilities and health conditions. One is incurable and terminal (not cancer). I rely on several pieces of medical equipment. I am unable to work more than part time hours.
If my mother was ever forced into a care home am I correct in thinking social care would make me homeless to pay care home fees, despite long residency and contributing significantly to the house, bills and upkeep? In the event they did, could I make any claim which would help towards me finding a new place?
It’s really hard to understand what might happen as most places online only talk about people signing houses over to kids to avoid care home fees but my situation is somewhat different. Please advise if you can, thanks

We live in or near a major city. All the internet providers are equally worthless. Right now we have Spectrum and it seems like every other month we have issues. Area outage, modem takes a shit, our IP randomly changes, you name it, it happens.
I see the Spectrum truck on a pole that is broken and tied with rope to another pole. I know the pole issue is a Duke thing but they are all horrible. My wife works from home and I need to be online for my side job.
Why is this subpar service acceptable?

 | Good afternoon guys, Fz-10, 30k miles, valves done at 26k. My bike will stall with my clutch pulled in. Spark plugs changed at 26k with the valves, air filter is clean, tinkered with the clutch play, and just replaced my kickstand switch. My next plan is: -the clutch switch -replace clutch plates -change throttle body position sensor If these things fail I’ll take it to a bike mechanic. Has anyone taken GEOG 3597.03 - Global Citizenship? I have to take it as part of my SEG 2nd major but it seems like a TON of work with all the reading, so it’s making me hesitant to add more classes to my schedule although it would be really beneficial and I only have 13 credits in that semester so far (for reference, this is for the 25/26 year, I’m making a schedule projection). Can anyone vouch for the amount of work?

I have the opportunity to visit NYC and attend a show (solo) at the Theatre in the Square. I’m 6’1 and 380lb, and I try to be conscientious about my body not intruding onto others space, so I called the theater and asked about larger seating.
They said they can remove a seat for me in the back of the theatre and bring an armless chair for me to sit in. I’m wondering if that’s necessary, and worried about taking an accessible seat from someone who may need it more. For those who have been to this theater, do you think I could sit in one of the regular seats? I certainly could try and get an aisle seat. I just don’t want to interfere with others experience or cause a burden.

Hey there, I have a an e39 bmw 525i, a 2003. I just fixed a vacuum leak behind the engine and clear the codes, then turn the car on and I get a different code. Code p0050 for bank 1, sensor 1 o2 sensor. I check to make sure there were no loose connections or damaged wires and nope, nothing. Then, I swapped the o2 sensors and I got code p0030 for bank 2, sensor 1.
This would mean that the sensor originally from "bank 1" is bad right?

I drafted a 12 or so page filing that took me about 18 hours total. It probably shouldn’t have taken that long. But took great care to make sure it was near perfect as I could get it because mistakes do not go over well with my superiors.
On one hand, I want to get my hours. On one other, the partner will certainly ask why in the living fuck it took me 18 hours.
Thoughts?

 | I’ve attached 2 pictures to this: the first one is my weird temp pattern right now, and the next one is how my temps usually look at this time in my cycle. I’ve been tracking bbt using NC since March. I’ve had the odd outlier when it comes to daily temps but I’ve never seen my chart look so up and down like this. The only thing I’ve changed this month is that I am trying to consistently take my temp at 7am when I wake up to my alarm (even if I had a minute or two awake in the night). In the past, I was taking my temp whenever I’d wake up, even if just for a moment, as long as it was later than 4am. I have a tendency to randomly wake up around 4:30-5:30am for a few minutes, so I’d just take it then. Long story short…. I feel like I always wake up randomly early now because I’ve gotten used to taking my temp, and I’m tired of having interrupted sleep, so I decided to try taking my temp just at 7am from now on, but it seems to be making it inconsistent. I guess my question is, should I just go back to taking it in the middle of the night (even if it’s not at the same time) and not when I actually wake up to my alarm? Or is this type of temp variation sometimes normal at this point in a cycle?
