hey guys!! i'm currently a senior in high school and i'm applying to some ucs and cal states. i want to go into law school and chose my major as political science. what should my alternative major be? i want something that could help me when i take the lsat and also when i get to law school. something i've been thinking about is i don't want to pick a major too common because there's more competition. what do you guys think?

Already dipped a toe, entertained plans, and everything I've heard it said that every relapse starts way before the drug is taken. You could say I'm already in the middle of the weeds and trying to stem the tide before the dam breaks.
Already have a month and a half now, with a few stretches of sobriety in the past, but this time it was spurred on by jaundice, alcoholic hepatitis, and general alcoholic liver failure. This should be it. The ticket is punched. And yet, I could not want anything more than a six pack of light beer.
I've been waiting for my body and mind to level out, and medical doctors say here are antidepressants or wait more and more months for us to call you to get a mental health specialist. And yet, I've felt like a pissed off exhausted ball of depression who just works, sleeps, and lashes out at loved ones. Absolutely non-functional and I would tell a person acting like myself to fuck off if I had to deal with them. Yet a few drinks, and yeah the "drunk," is nice, but I'm actually normal and leveled out for the following days while still not drinking.
If I keep going I will die. And if I don't, I couldn't call it living.

2024.11.26 00:48 SouthEndBC Fire / CO2 detector (hardwired) in garage constantly chirps in cold weather
As title says, we have an unheated garage and as soon as the temps start to drop (like now), the detector starts chirping. I’ve tried changing the backup battery and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? The detector is on the ceiling of the garage, which has 12 foot ceilings. In the Spring, once the temps rise, it stops chirping.

Hello all,
I just started doing boxing and wanted to get something to help me practice at home. Hanging a bag from the ceiling is off limits but I think I can make a stand with a bag hanging from it fit. Alternatively I could get a standup bag which I understand allows for more maneuverability. I want something I can hit hard and ideally work on my technique on. I am also 6 foot/6 foot 1 so height is also a factor. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
