2024.11.26 03:50 Aggravating_Onion353 Unit not ready until end of December. I already submitted an application and reserved it. What are the chances that I am getting approved or denied?
I need to get an apartment before first week of January next year. I visited the leasing office of the apartment complex I saw online Agent said they have an upcoming unit that will be ready by the end of December. She said it's not ready yet because thay still have to move out some stuff. I submitted an application and reserved the unit. She gave me a "welcome letter" with the apartment number, monthly rate, deposit, lease term, and the anticipated move in cost, but it's not an approval letter.
Anyone that had the same experience as mine I want to know how it went? Did your move in date got delayed? Did you get denied? Was the apartment not ready before the date that they promised?
There's no assurance from the lease office that I am getting the unit, so l am feeling worried that l am going to waste the whole month waiting then getting a news from the agent by the end of December saying that the unit is not ready and its getting delayed.
PS: apartment wasn't listen online.

I've been digging into researching for the past week, and wow, does treadmill research ever boggle the mind.
Similar to a poster from about a week ago, I too am basic, with my favourite exercise being the 12-3-30 (walking for 30 minutes at a 12% incline at 3mph). I also won't run on it. My priorities are:
- incline to 12%
- Assembled length can't be any longer than 71" and ideally width narrower than 32"
- as cheap as possible, like below $1000 would be dreamy, though I might patiently wait and look for a used/second hand version of a more expensive machine (I know from research so far that a cheapo treadmill is a get what you pay for scenario)
- basic but solid, no frills needed, no screen needed
- Folding would be nice, but not necessary, and I would take solid build over folding
Am I looking for a unicorn? Could a basic, cheap treadmill with these specs exist? Going to ask ChatGPT now, but anyone else's thoughts much appreciated.

I’ve been using Nivea most of my life, Nivea soft became my favourite very quickly, but the new vegan formula really doesn’t work. It leaves my skin dryer and feeling horrible. I’ve tried some other moisturisers but they don’t do the same. I like being able to feel my skin’s moisturised rather than matte.
Does anyone know any good substitutes for Nivea soft?
If not, has the classic blue tubs Nivea changed formula too? I might switch back to it if not, despite it feeling a lil too greasy, at least I’ll feel moisturised 💀

I have one dog and one cat. Cat is very anti-social and only really interacts with us to scream for food and to come and scream at us when it's raining. Unless I am in bed and then suddenly she is my best friend and comes to sleep ON me. Dog is jackrussell cross rescue dog with mild abandonment and anxiety issues.
So this morning i was in deep sleep when i felt this heavy pressure on my hip and side. My sleep addled mind assumed it was cat and shoved her off cos it was hurting. Pressure came back, i was stroking cat in my sleep but didnt quite register that fur felt different until i got to her bandana (which my daughter insists the dog wears). Took off eye mask and got a facefull of dog panting, apparently having an anxiety thing because my daughter was daring to have a zoom conversation with someone in her room and had shut her out.
Cat was sulking in corner of bedroom cos dog had taken her sleeping spot. Dog is now fine, i went back to sleep and placed her firmly to the side of me. I love her but she is solid and has boney elbows and she really hurt my boob by standing on it.

5w1 and coming from a chemical in July, I wanted to get a blood test before I scheduled an OB appointment as they failed to cancel all the rescheduled appointments once it passed and it was a bit traumatizing having to explain to them that I wasn’t pregnant anymore more than once.
Finally back in the states and was able to get tested today. 17k hcg and I feel I can really start believing this is happening. I am so happy!
