2024.11.26 05:40 FelipeTrindade Massive freezing happening now, did not use to happen before.
I am experiencing severe FPS issues in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint that I **didn’t have before** —specifically freezes. PC Specifications:
- GPU: GTX 1650
- CPU: i3-9350KF
- RAM: 2 sticks of 8 GB (16 GB total), 2400 MHz
- Storage: 500 GB M.2 SSD (NVMe) with the OS installed, 242 GB free at the moment
A few months ago, I had an issue with my PC that required me to format it. No problem there, but I stayed away from reinstalling the game for a while as I was focusing on other things.
About 2–3 weeks ago, I finally reinstalled Breakpoint to play again after the format. I launched it using Vulkan, as usual, but the game started freezing constantly. These aren’t just FPS drops—the game runs normally and then, completely out of nowhere, it just FREEZES for about 10 seconds before resuming back to normal.
This happens even when there’s nothing significant happening on-screen or in the environment.
These freezes are even more frequent during loading situations. For example:
- When I press to open the map, it freezes.
- When I enter the bivouac, it freezes.
- When I die and press to respawn, it doesn’t freeze, but the loading screen suffers from ABSURD stuttering.
Switching to DX11, my FPS drops to around 30–45, which significantly impacts the experience. I could accept playing with FPS in the 30–45 range, but the problem is that the freezes persist.
While playing on DX11, the game doesn’t freeze during loadings—meaning I can open the map, respawn, and enter the bivouac without risking freezes or extreme stuttering. However, the random gameplay freezes still occur. Their frequency is reduced, I’ve noticed, but they’re still there.
These freezes seem more common during combat. For instance, there were several moments when I aimed at an enemy drone, just about to shoot, and the game froze.
Answering some basic questions:
- Yes, I’ve checked the performance troubleshooting guide on the official website.
- Yes, I’ve updated my Windows installation.
- Yes, I’ve updated my GPU drivers and even uninstalled the old ones before installing the new ones.
- Yes, the executables are configured to run as administrator.
- Yes, I’ve run the in-game benchmark, but it didn’t help much.
- Benchmark 1 (VSync off): Grade A, Score 11033 (FPS not recorded)
- Benchmark 2 (VSync on): Grade B, Score 9632 (FPS MIN/MAX: 44/60)
- Benchmark 3 (VSync off): Grade A, Score 10942 (FPS MIN/MAX: 28/99)
- Benchmark 1 (VSync off): Grade A, Score 12492 (FPS MIN/MAX: 43/125)
- Benchmark 2 (VSync on): Grade B, Score 9406 (FPS MIN/MAX: 2/64)
- Benchmark 3 (VSync off): Grade A, Score 11735 (FPS MIN/MAX: 3/93)
It’s worth noting that whenever a freeze occurs, my GPU usage drops to 0%. Speaking of GPU usage, the maximum it reached was 98%, but only during Vulkan Test 1.
I’m also using MSI Afterburner (with RTSS) to monitor hardware usage, not sure if this really impacts anything, just throwing info, really.
Anyone knows a fix?

Hi all, I have been on Levoxine for over a year now. The last 6-7 weeks or so I have this strange head pressure, not like a painful sharp headache but a full tightness around my head. I was due some blood tests recently and my GP called me in and said I need to drop my levoxine as my results were dangerously high. I have gone from 175mcg to 75mcg and then retesting again after 7 days Is my head pressure a result of overdosage? It’s been like this every single day now for 2 months, It’s freaking me out. I have a brain MRI booked for a few days. Has anyone else gone through this? Thanks

The world I'm making doesn't naturally have light. There are no stars in the sky, no moon nor sun. Instead, the sky is lit with thousands of runes that were carved deep into the fabric of reality. These runes are far away, often giving the appearance of stars, but they have extraordinary shapes and patterns that keep reality stable.
There is one rune next to the world, a large white circle that brightens the morning and causes reality to move around it, making the world spin and leading to different seasons based on when the circle is full or looks more like a straight line in the sky.
Humanity will store light in gemstones that are charged high above the atmosphere, so only the purest light gets in. The trek is dangerous and can be fatal, but the power these stones hold is sought after by the richest and most powerful people. Therefore, there is always someone, forced or willing, to bring these gemstones up and take them back down.
MAGICK
Magick is taken in by bending light through weaving circles. The concept is by rolling your hands you can pull light from the "stars", gemstones, fungi, fires, lightbulbs, anything really. The weaving technique determines the color(s) you gather.
You can charge your spells with different light colors to change the weight of the magick. You form shapes or patterns from the light you pull on to cast spells.
Low frequency, like red, is less compact and less potent. High frequency, like violet, is more compact. Inversely, low frequency is less controlled. High frequency is easier to control.
There are three basic spells. Each constructed from a basic shape. How you use light changes everything.
The Form spell uses a spiral as a summoning pattern. It is a basic creation spell that creates lights, dazes the mind, crafts illusions, or even physically manifests hard light entities.
Red dazes and allows for dim light. Orange-yellow creates dazzling lights that can leave people hypnotized. Green-blue can craft illusions with no physical presence. Violet creates objects of various levels of physical presence.
The Blast spell uses a wave pattern to function. It is a basic fighting spell. Shoots a blast of light that that can be slow, forceful and controlled, or fast, burning hot, and wild.
The lower the frequency of the light, like red, the cooler, slower, and more controlled the blast is. The higher the frequency of light, like violet, the hotter, faster, and more uncontrollable the blast is.
The Warp spell uses a circle pattern to take effect. It is a basic control spell. Can mend, move, reshape, or collapse.
Red can be used for very precise mending, such as healing or repairing magick. Orange-yellow allows for complex to basic movements at slow to rapid rates. Green-blue can completely reshape an object with low to minor levels of precision. Violet collapses objects of immense size, but without any precision.
There are also more complex spells. These require a knowledge of the seven mystic patterns (fractals, circles, waves, spirals, tessellations, crosses, and lines) and how to fuse them together to make a new effect.
In addition: Prismatic magick is the use of multiple colors at once to change the weight of different aspects of the spell for more dramatic effects. Unseen magick is using colors out of the visible spectrum to use spells that cannot be seen, usually for combat. But this is incredibly dangerous. This power is both incredibly volatile, and you can't see it while weaving it. Which is a terrible combination.
Also your hands begin to warp from handling light magick for so long. Beginners will have normal looking hands, but wizened old casters would have long nimble fingers and burn scars or charred black skin on their hands.

A Macro-Goal is just 1 big goal that you are completely fixated on. This is when someone has a goal that completely encompasses their life.
This is when a goal an or a desired achievement completely takes over your lifestyle.
This is when you dedicate your mind, body, and soul to reaching a goal and accomplishing something big, strictly out of passion and purpose.
This is so powerful because: all of your behaviors will line up with this goal.
This will allow you to have one singular focus, while having overarching change on your behaviors.
So by having just 1 goal that encompasses everything, this takes all the uncertainty out of your life.
Because your brain will try to stop you, and convince you that maybe you don’t need to work today, or maybe you don’t even want the things that you’re working for, and a macro-goal will instantly shut that down.
Let’s say you have the Macro-Goal to become a millionaire, because your goal is so huge:
- You can't smoke
- You can't waste time on social media
- You can't watch Netflix
- You need to work hard
- You need to go to bed on time
- You need to be responsible
And you know exactly what you’re working towards because you defined it, so you also know exactly what is required from you at all times.
You are guided towards beneficial behaviors, and guided away from behaviors that don’t align with your purpose.
The best and fastest way to eliminate bad behavior and to be consistent with good behavior, is to set a really big goal that basically encompasses all of your behavior into one.
And instead of having 10 micro-goals of quitting Netflix, quitting social media, quitting video games, etc.
You will have 1 Macro-Goal that really means something significant to you.
This will cause all of your behavior to line up to achieve this goal.
It's very self explanatory, Because you have a significant goal that could take years, If you spend time watching TV, this is not conducive towards your goal, so you need to eliminate it. The key to reaching your ultimate productivity, is to eliminate behaviors that don't contribute towards your productivity and your purpose.
And by having a Macro-Goal, you will know exactly what those behaviors are.
The first stage to becoming consistent with good behaviors, is to eliminate other behaviors you don't need or want.
A Macro-Goal will help you get rid of behaviors that don't contribute to your purpose.

I made a post about an inherited property previously online and have received some conflicting advice in the meantime.
Dad passed away, left house to me but his will was invalid. Outstanding mortgage was $225,000.
I am the only one around so I applied for letters of administration and have that now making me the administrator of the estate. The title of the house has been transferred into my name as the administrator of the deceased estate and I will be refinancing this mortgage as the beneficiary to transfer the title into my name as the sole owner of the property.
The problem is the conflicting tax advice I have been getting. I want to keep the house as an investment. The outstanding mortgage is approximately $225,000 and the house is valued around his date of death at $685,000.
I probably need to spend $5000-$10,000 estimated in reasonable repairs to get it ready for tenants to move in and whatever other costs are associated with transferring the title and setting up the mortgage into my name. So my costs to buy the property from the estate ( technically myself ) is approximately $235,000. Estimated rental yield is $550 per week.
I have been told that no part of the loan’s interest is tax deductible due to how I acquired the property but I can’t find the proper ruling or tax law on that.
At the minimum I would have thought that the interest on the $235,000 would have been as it was the outstanding part of the loan when I do take on the title of the property / reasonable costs for renovation or repairs.
I did the mortgage calculator online and the rent would cover repayments but does that play into the factor as to why it isn’t deductible?
I tried finding this ruling on the ATO site but feel like my google abilities are not wording things properly and I’m not finding that ruling for my own reading.
