 | I bought a Gigabyte B450 ds3h wifi motherboard from Mdcomputers on 6 November 2024. It got delivered on 8 th November and when I assembled it . It started showing problems right then like - It won't boot up, it will run for a bit then there won't be any display the pc will still run, sometimes it will shut down and restart itself, a lot of times it will crash , some time it be on loop of crash and restart. So in essence it was a problematic board and on the next day of delivery I contacted Mdcomputers to replace the board as it was a faulty one. They started saying that my Ram has issue(I have 3 Ram sticks and issue is same with all of them), my Graphics card has issues( just got it replaced at service centre). Then they said to update drivers, I did it with whatever time the pc could stay awake. And then they said update Bios, same I did as much as it stood awake. The problem still persists and even after calling them multiple times they still said the problem lies with my other components. Then they said to give them a diagnostic report by certified technician, I called a few in Wazirpur and nobody does this there . Then I searched online and contacted him to give me a diagnostic report, the technician came started his diagnostic and the pc crashed it too in front of him and he said that there is heating issue with VGA chip . He wrote me a diagnostic report and at the same time I called Mdcomputers and also technician told himself over call that issue is with motherboard. They arranged a pickup of the board and it reached them. Then they said that after testing for 1 hour the board is not showing any issues. I asked them to run it for a few more times for 2-3 days to mimick the working hours. Today they sent a reply and said they tested it for 4 hours and still there is now issue. I said them again to test it for few more times for continuous days to let the board show its issues. Now they are saying that they cannot test it any further. _---------- This has been my interaction with Mdcomputers. I have learnt my lesson to not do any business with them. 2024.11.26 07:31 No_Gur5913 Inconsistent POST issue but games fine once Windows loads
Got an annoying problem thats worse lately.
I get POST issues about 80% of the time, but the behavior is not always the same.
Built about 2 years ago. CPU is water cooled. Never overheats. Posting has occasionally been flaky but never annoying enough to cause a rebuild etc.
No recent changes to hardware or motherboard bios etc. ISSUE: When I boot, I either get 1 long 3 short beeps (Graphics device error according to manual).
Or I get no beep but system powers up, led lights all over MB & video card, stays on.
Or about 1 in 5 it will actually boot normally.
Sometimes it will post but I get no display output. Loads windows fine. Doesnt matter if I switch output ports etc.
Can fail to post when system is cold. Can boot fine when system is warm.
Have changed all OC settings back to auto at BIOS. Have reseated and moved RAM to other sockets. Have reseated video card.
PC can game fine for hours. Just ran an AIDA64 stress test inc GPU for over 40min. No crashes. No other random BSOD or general Windows crash. very occasional game crashes but Im often doing VR streaming etc so its pretty reliable once into Windows 11.
PSU seems rock solid as it can power the CPU & GPU under heavy load for long periods. Same goes for other components. Once in Windows, all goes great. Doesnt seem heat related as it happens cold and I can sometimes reboot when system hot no problems.
Struggling to figure out what is interrupting the POST process. Why 1 long 3 short beeps when GPU is fine gaming? Why blank screen with no post BEEP other times?
