One of the members of my school organization have abruptly decided to leave. None of us knew bakit aalis siya all of a sudden considering I know na hindi pa naman siya pa-graduate or di naman siya nagsasabi na pagod na siya sa org o may balak siyang i-take na ibang opportunities outside sa org. Mahirap siya basahin since masyado siyang tahimik at bihira ko siyang nakita nagpapakita ng emotions.
As one of his closest sa org, I decided to talk to him about why he chose to leave the org. Nung nag-usap kami, nagulat ako na he mentioned na rin*pe daw siya ng isa sa mga orgmates namin na babae and ayun yung dahilan kung bakit siya aalis.
He said na nangyari siya sa dorm ng orgmate namin na babae after nila mag-inuman ng iba pang orgmates namin a few months ago. He said na wag ko daw sabihin at ako lang nakakaalam nito. Matagal na daw siyang uncomfortable sa org kaya ayun reason kung bakit siya aalis.
Ang problema is ayaw niya i-name drop kung sino kasi uncomfortable siya considering na kaibigan daw siya ng marami sa org. Pangalawang reason ay takot siya na baka magiba daw tingin ng iba sa kanya since lalaki siya at baka i-twist yung istorya na siya pa yung r*pist instead. I asked kung may plan siya na i-report yun. Pero sabi niya hindi pa daw siya handang sabihin at the moment at baka hindi niya na lang i-report. I tried to tell him na baka gamitin yung case niya against sa kanya ng orgmate naming na girl at mas lalo pang mangyayari iyon if hindi niya rineport pero sobrang uncomfortable niya na nahihiya siyang magsumbong. Ang malala pa doon is, inamin niya na wala siyang maibigay na proof since lasing siya nung nangyari iyon.
Ang concern ko lang dito is kung sino man nag-r*pe sa kanya ay nandun sa org namin running free sa ginawa niya OR since ayaw niya magbigay ng details sakin baka magamit pa yung case niya against sa kanya. Isa pang concern ko is since wala ngang proof, (I dont want to assume pero here it goes) may chance na fabricated case niya.
Daming tumatakbo sa isip ko. Irereport ko ba ito o hindi? May proweba ba na nangyari talaga sakanya sinasabi niya? Ang alarming talaga yung Sexual abuser andun sa org namin. Sirang sira na yung trust ko, ewan ko na lang.
For now, di ko alam kung anong gagawin ko so nanahimik na lang ako.

I (21 m) ,have never had any real relationship before, am in love with this girl (20f) we met in January and went out for a while before she left cus she didn’t wanna commit (I guess),so then I went through my first actual heartbreak and move forward in trying to date another girl, things went well till shit happens when out of pure coincidence I got into the same class with her, so I tried to move on as friend, but it make me realized that I still have feeling for her so I broke thing off with the new girl then. But because of feeling guilty I decided not to pursue her more than friend. Until very recently she was experiencing some issue with her mental health and wanna talk to me, so I just listen and try to be there as best as I can. Even though I was really hoping not to fell for her again it happened. I guess she sees us as friend now but now that she’s doing better with her mental health I’m afraid mine is going down hill again LMAO, she knows how I feel but still insists on only wanna be friends, it was kinda cool until TODAY she said she wanna start looking for a guy to date so I said that if and when she finally got a BF I would leave. She seems surprised for some reason and apparently really wanna keep me around as friend. But I really don’t wanna do that. So right now I’m considering just leaving and try moving on with my life. Am I the asshole?

2024.11.26 13:51 PaullyCanzo Gigabyte bios update borked ram
I’m having an issue with my memory after a bios update. This was the first one I’ve done since I bought the board 4 years ago because I didn’t want to cause any problems like this. After the update I noticed that the computer was only reading 1 of the sticks at 32 GB when I have two installed for 64 total. They are installed in slots A2 and B2. I tried swapping them to try to verify if one was bad and it’s showing that there is memory in the slot but it’s at a minus GB number and isn’t working. It doesn’t matter which stick I use it says whichever one in B2 is bad.
Out of curiosity I tried moving the ram to slots A1 and B1 and the computer won’t boot. I tried running it with just one stick in all four of the slot and nothing works. It will only work with sticks in slots A2 and B2 and of course the B2 slot isn’t reading properly. I was going to downgrade the bios to see if that remedied the problem but it won’t give me authorization to do it. I’m kind of at a loss here because this is the first problem I’ve had in 4 years since initial setup and it’s seems to be something happened in the bios update to cause this. Any ideas?

There are 1-2 out of 3 of us in my family who really don’t like cold weather (me especially). The cold temperature, the cold wind, snow, ice, slush, winter sports.. I don’t like any of it. HOWEVER the other person very much enjoys cold weather and cross country skiing, plus a lot about the Twin Cities looks great for our family. We are looking to escape TX, like many others, for obvious reasons.
Would I be absolutely miserable for many months of the year? Does the sun make it feel warmer? Is there a lot of sunshine?! Would it be bearable for a good political climate with scenery, good schools, etc? Do other seasons make it “worth it?” 🥶

This is going to sound really dumb, but I’m having a problem with spiders making their webs on my clothesline
I’m very afraid of spiders but I try really hard to relocate and not kill any spiders that come into our house because I know they’re helpers and they don’t mean me any harm
The problem is that I have an outdoor clothesline and the spiders that live in my garden just love making their webs on my clothesline or inside the hollow metal tubes the frame is made of.
right now I can’t make use of the beautiful weather to dry my laundry and have to use the dryer because of my unwelcome backyard tenants
If I move them and remove their webs they just come back the next week. I don’t know how to firmly enforce the eviction notice so they pick a better spot to make their webs.
Any thoughts on deterring them without causing them harm?

We got a call yesterday that my mom went unresponsive. Come to find out that she had a major aortic dissection that somehow spread throughout other parts of her body, even down to her lower leg. She made it through surgery, and was put into the CTICU. Now, around 9 hours later, they're telling us that her heart still isn't beating, and she isn't breathing on her own. They haven't asked us yet, but they've let us know that her chances right now are miniscule, and that at some point soon, we'll need to make a decision. We're getting another consult, and I may try reaching out to the Cleveland Clinic since we're in Cleveland. But...we don't have much hope right now.
I can't stop crying. And she gave me power of attorney years ago, so I need to make the decision. My sister will be there with me, but I'm not going to put that decision on her. But I mean...how do I tell the doctors "Yeah, let me mom die." I mean, what the fuck? I'm not ready for this! I'm not ready to lose my mom! She was in better shape than I am for fuck's sake!
Sorry, I just needed to vent.

I’ve stomached the fact that I lost a substantial amount of my conversation log after being hacked. I’m embracing a second start now that I know more, I can do things better.
I would like to develop a systematic approach to my use of gpt. Organized and integrated with 3rd parties I would like my future projects to be set up with the following principles, and I am open to suggestions for not only how to implement, but also any creative ideas that I could add into my system.
Conversations need to be indexed and categorized for export into a tracker software such as Notion or good notes ect.
Indexing so that conversations can be tagged by title/ similar content for retrieval, by date if possible . Structuring each conversation into user and gpt conversation log, summary tables for, links, lists, action items, such as directions, ect. perhaps labeled for indexing as well, sectioning off code, and not that I use it, maybe it will become more useful later, images/ other features.
Thank you for reading, I hope this makes sense to someone out there, I appreciate any help you can give. Ultimately I would like to just spend less time searching my conversation logs for the projects I start, and if this way of thinking gives me an increase in my productivity, I could.
