So I’m BIPOC myself (my grandfather was Cuban). I heard on NPR that Orange Hitler was going to round up the undocumented immigrants and deport them. I talked it over with my partner who agreed with me. So I spoke with her (have a MA in Spanish Literature so my Spanish is pretty good). I told her that she could stay with us and that our 1901 Victorian house still has a butlers quarters that isn’t being used. She could continue her work full time for us. She asked about her family and I told her I know of other family who could take them in and have a similar arrangement. She seemed hesitant but thankful to have friends like myself and my partner. We’re all in this together!

2024.11.26 14:40 Just_ABlobfish Some thoughts after watching season 1 and 2 of IWTV for the first time...
I just finished watching this show for the first time and I am absolutely obsessed! I need to read the books and am almost embarrassed that I haven’t before now! This show was a masterpiece and I have so many thoughts and feelings about it that I want to get off my chest or else I’ll flounder until season 3 comes out. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are some of the things that I loved about this show:
- All the obvious things first of all, the acting, cinematography creative choices etc. I actually cried at the end of season 1 as well as the end of season 2
- Obviously, some heavy topics are being dealt with, but I love the humour in this show and how it compliments these darkemore serious moments - “You have to drain her first Louis!”
- Both seasons were great for different reasons, but I think I preferred season 2. Season 1 was great and I have no real criticism apart from the pacing perhaps, but comparatively season 2 really gripped me. I savoured season 1 over a couple of weeks and binged season two in a couple of days.
- I love how this story plays with memory and how we the audience are still left guessing about the truth. Like the drop in season 1, it first seemed like such a one-sided fight where Lestat was barely injured. Season 2 gave us a different perspective on this with Lestat initially holding back and being visibly bloody. Who’s to say which version has more truth, which is so interesting to think about.
- I feel like in season 1 both Louis and Lestat are really obvious about what they want/need but are simultaneously so absorbed in their own problems/feelings which is one of the reasons why they constantly misunderstand each other.
- This show is so good at setting up parallels and foreshadowing. For example, the fact that when Louis first talks to Lestat he wants to slit his throat, and that’s how he ends up trying to kill him... it makes the storyline feel so well-rounded.
- I think this is the first piece of vampire media that hasn’t been too cowardly to address the question of whether Vampires are affected by period blood.
- Louis and Claudia's You and Me scene really, stuck with me, so simple and yet so beautiful.
- Daniel’s telenovela bit is objectively the funniest part of the series (in my opinion) (actually all of this is in my opinion, I don’t know why I’m clarifying) (DISREGARD)
- Also tell me why I’m now OBSESSED with whatever is going on between Daniel and Armand, “Yeah?” “Yeah.” And all that staring?! Armand, you aren't slick!
- And finally, my poor lesbian heart broke for Claudia and Madeline, we really can’t have one (1) healthy relationship in this show huh?

Hi everyone! 21M here. Before everything I wanna say thank you for being alive, sending you hugs, I love you and I'm proud of you for who you are ❤️. This is more like an advice/motivational speech and a little story from my own point of view. So after years of being in a miserable state of mind/really bad mental state I finally started to get better and not by forcing myself into things that other recomanded me. Life always gets better if you don't give up on it, It might take a while but you should never say never. I was on the point of wanting to off myself but never did, I felt like I didn't have anything, that I was useless and I live for nothing. What saved me? I found a reason to live (my friends and pets), there are many reasons to live, your pet, a friend, a game, a promise, a dream.
Do things you wish to do but are afraid. I was an introvert guy who barely talked with his family because I was really anxious. I can say a changed a lot, I'm not afraid to show myself anymore, I started to go to gym, made friends, pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone, I stopped waiting for someone to take pity on me. I'm proud of myself because I did things that I was always afraid to do. This Christmas I'll dress up as Santa and walk through the city and give random people gifts, hugs and laugh with them.
I realised that everyone has friends but many don't acknowledge them as such, think about how many people are actually there for you, think about how they tried to make tou feel better but you have never acknowledged that.
Never stop trying to find your things, maybe you don't enjoy what you've don't until now anymore, it's okay, find new things, cooking, dancing, gaming .... Don't be afraid to test them out, even if you feel like people would judge you, what is better? Being happy and being judged by someone insignificant or being sad and please someone you don't care about?
I believe in you, I know you can do it, thank you for surviving until now, I guarantee you life gets better, it always does as long as you don't give up.

A long time lurker of this sub…
I'm here to share with you how to remove bot clicks, inconsistent results, and account fatigue.
I’ll show you the exact account structure to go from $50-$1,000 a day.
The exact creative structure to make 8-20 creatives every single week.
We’ve all been gaslighted about bots on facebook for the last 9 months.
And people have said “It's your business not the platform.”
I'M sick of it!
What I've found out is that Facebook is absolutely filled with bots.
And they come from all the facebook data center locations.
Don't believe me, look at your analytics real quick.
North Carolina, Iowa, Oregon ect.
I audited an account the other day with $300 of ad spend and 90% of traffic were bots from these locations with the same IP in the same town.
And All quality traffic and sales came from instagram.
Think about that real quick 90% of the budget went to bots…
Exclude these locations and only use the instagram placement..
With this fix we’re able to get results like last Q4.
This is the only account structure you need to know for the holidays and black friday:
|Prospecting|ASC remarketing|Scale|
Exclude all web visitors from Prospecting and Scale campaigns. And exclude all purchases from the ASC remarketing campaign. Start all with Campaign level budget not ad set level budget.
Start the prospecting campaign with a $30 a day budget and start the Remarketing campaign with a $10-20 budget depending on your remarketing pool for the holidays. This is your ROAS generator..
For the prospecting campaign add 5-8 creatives every single week.
(We do this with a creative process called “Remixing the ad” i'll touch on that point in a bit)
With this structure the ads have to compete against each other.
So winners are competing with the new ads.
Some new ads rise quickly, others don't even spend.
(Facebook only spends when it feels it can achieve your goal, Don't force anything just let them run and keep adding creatives.)
For the remarketing campaign add 2-3 body copies and headlines every week to test copy.
Go full broad no targeting with the Prospecting campaign and the Scale Campaign.
When we have 3-4 winning creatives and Body/Headlines with spend and ROAS.
We then graduate those to a “Scale campaign” and set it immediately to $100 - $200 a day.
You can definitely scale more aggressively with a bid caps type of strategy and go straight to $500-$1,000 after this step.
But I recommend being more conservative if you have no experience running ads.
(Also keep increasing your Remarketing campaigns. I recommend 20% of the daily ad budget.)
But that is the complete facebook ad structure I use.
Remixing your ads..
For me I like creating a swipe file of all the scroll stopping creatives I see.
And I make templates for my designers to use.
This is so I can basically use these ads and never run out of ideas.
I never use creatives that have been used in my niche. I want to be different and stand out.
For creatives, test everything from USPs to Headlines, to desired outcomes.
This day in time your creative is your targeting.
Anyways, that's my complete strategy.

After building the modlist (up to around 1700 now), I tried getting into the game to see if everything worked. Well, it seemed to, except for one thing: neither movement nor camera work at all. I am stuck in place, and only the interface responds to commands.
Is there any mod that's been known to cause such issues? Thanks.
