2024.11.26 14:30 Plastic-Fix-2695 Should I get speakers released 5 years ago?
I'm interested in getting Triangle AIO 3, mostly to play FLAC via my android phone and wi-fi. There's a good discount going on, and it's about €300 right now.
But then I tested the Triangle App, it says the app is too old for my android. Customer service says they're updating it in a few days but there's a workaround.
I realised that the speakers were actually released back in 2019... hence the discount and outdated app.
If it's a 2023 model I would happily buy it, but somehow 5 years just seem like a long time ago? It's actually almost 6 years! Or is its something that doesn't matter for speakers? I think for passive speakers it matters less, but I'm going for the wireless connectivity.
Any other android homepods out there, where I can easily play music via wi-fi?

I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask this but idk where else to ask… Basically I’m a white girl but I heard some really good songs when I was in Dubai on vacay last month so I added them to my playlist, didn’t think anything of it. But the other day, I was driving with a friend of mine, and one of the Arabic songs came on and my friend was shocked that I would listen to a song in Arabic and was basically telling me that I shouldn’t listen to it because it’s like cultural appropriation and disrespectful. So I don’t know. I asked my brother what he thought and he thinks that’s bs, but idk, now I’m not sure what to believe so I want to know what actual Arab people think about it or the people who live in an Arabic country. If it’s disrespectful then I will ofc not listen to them anymore.

Validating a hypothesis here.
I am working with a few AI startups on the West Coast (building this, just for context).
We noticed that teams that are heavy when it comes to ML and deep technical skills (when the core of the product is complex), sometimes struggle to keep the pace when building UIs quick and iterating fast. Many use a component library, some code their UI.
The more high-level is the back-end work, the more quick and scrappy is the front-end.
Is it a real thing or just a one off case?

I will start off with addressing the people who rant about brain drain and why people want go away from India. Here is one live example. Yesterday, my sister who lives in a relatively secure township in Chandapura and went to throw the garbage in early hours of the morning around 5.00 hrs and an unassumingly well dressed guy on a bike who looked like one who is going to work on a early shift out of nowhere comes and tries to snatch chain out of my sister's neck. The gritty and daring women my sister is got hold of her chain and the guy's collar who flees the spot being unsuccessful. Needless to say my sister got bruised during the scuffle and went to complain to the secretary of the township as well as the police. Guess what the police, an SP that too says ""You are lucky to have not been robbed and tells her that it is not good to go at that of the day out alone". My mind still cant fucking process this. He is least interested in lodging an FIR because the chain has not been snatched and on top of that, he says you should have not gone out at that time of the day. If this is the absolute mockery of the system happening in a metropolitan city like Bangalore, I cant imagine the rural pockets of the country. A women cant go at nights and cant go in the mornings and it is always the women's fault. How can one change the mindset of the upcoming generation if everyone around the women who goes through an ordeal like this blame her first which is going to scar her for the remaining of life. I am ashamed of

Pag natikman ko na yung paborito kong pagkain, hindi ko na kayang huminto.
