anyone think a local server app will ever be written to trick the game into thinking the database is online and allow for manual connection?
For instance any program designed to intercept F13th game traffic could essentially trick the game into thinking its online, then the issue to tackle would be to connect friends (obviously massive quickplay would never work) but with proper router config or just simply listing local IPs on a home network could theoretically get the game playable within a home over a few computers.
Obviously this would just allow basic useless play unless you had 8 computers and 8 people online, but with a little more know how with port forwarding, dynamic DNS, and so forth it would be possible.
All of the attempts to revive the game that got hit with orders to stop working on it were essentially going to have to tackle that very problem beyond 2024 anyway.
So, what if the game itself was left alone, but yet a local dummy database was brought online faking itself to be the current database server in use, it would be playable amongst groups who have done the leg work before matchmaking.
Essentially the only reason this game is going to stop working 2025 is due to that server being decommissioned (or rather the paid for VM being deleted and the contract with the hosting service ended)

2024.11.26 14:34 greylord123 Guys of the UK. How seriously do you take going to the barber? How much do you pay and what sort of barber do you go to?
I think for most blokes going to the barber is one of the few things that can dramatically change our appearance so it's something I don't mind paying a bit more for.
What sort of guy are you ?:
Local barber: cheap, basic buzzcut, no frills. Boring small talk about weather or football. Usually next to a vape shop or bookies. £10 cash only. Favoured by pensioners.
Turkish: high staff turnover so very inconsistent, ok if you want a fade but a bit hit and miss at everything else. Very sharp lines. Nose wax and ear hair are good.
Hipster: probably has some sort of skull and snake motiff. Guy with a big beard and loads of tattoos. Takes it way too seriously and has all creams and waxes etc. Blokes who desperately want to be in the peaky blinders love this place.
Salon: not gonna lie this one is a guilty pleasure. Get your hair shampood, a little cup of espresso with a cheeky biscuit (I once had individually wrapped lotus biscoff at the salon my wife goes to).
Good barber: these are difficult to find and hold onto them once you get one. Has decent chat and you actually get to know them instead of just tedious small talk, always gives you a good cut and good shape up without having as harsh lines as the Turkish.

Thousands of our contacts were incorrectly added to several wrong segments this morning, which then automatically sent them a 20% off discount code across our store.
This code and email were only meant for people who haven't opened an email or ordered in at least a year. People that have placed orders within the last few days and have been opening all of the emails we've sent them in the last year have received the email.
Obviously a massive fuckup. We've searched and searched and there's just no reason for the contacts to have been added to the particular segment that led to them receiving the discount code.
Omnisend support are being absolutely useless which is leading us to believe they're dealing with lots of similar situations. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this in the last 24 hours?

2024.11.26 14:34 asatuk Philly Marathon Recap
 | Didn’t have the best training block for the race given hectic work schedule but still felt like I should be able to PR versus my previous best of 3:36:48 (NYC 23) Goal was to run somewhere close to a 3:25 with potential upside depending on how I felt day off. Ended up finishing in 3:30:28. Still a PR but not at goal. Strategy was to take first 10 miles easy, pick up the pace for next 10 and then give it all I had for last 10k. Caught a cold week before from my kids but felt like I could push through. Race started great. Was pacing myself to 7:45 and crowd support was awesome. Hydration and fueling according to plan (Maurten 100 every 4 miles alternating between caffeinated and regular). Only water at every station. Second 10 mile block felt good enough to pick up the pace a bit. Was trying to manage to 7:35. Mile 19 started cramping a bit. Decided to slow down and see how I felt. Could never quite recover. Just felt out of gas. Tried multiple times to rally but just couldn’t keep up faster pace. Not sure if it was cold; or maybe I picked up my pace too much, but realize I need to do more training long runs with MP at the end. 2024.11.26 14:34 KirbysLeftBigToe People on shots, at what point in the cycle do you test?
I moved to shots after a year on gel and I’ve been on shots for just over 9 months and had one blood test. I know you’re meant to get them more but I had some issues and have to pay for everything now so things got more complicated. I had regular bloods for my year on gel so I knew T wasn’t damaging me in any way.
The one blood test I had was the day before I was due a shot so obviously my levels were low. Based on my changes I’d say my levels are perfect but I still want to get bloods at least every six months and I want it to be at a point in the shot cycle that actually tells me something.
So people on shots at what point do you get your bloods done?

I’ve been looking for a new car, and stumbled upon a 2002 Saab 9-3 anniversary edition for about 900eur (I’m from Denmark and the car is also. It costs about 7000DKK which is VERY cheap for a car here, as we have a lot of extra charges when buying a car) it’s got some rust in 2 of the panels, but I recon I can fix that. The info display as bad pixels (might also be able to fix it) it’s driven 280xxx km and has been serviced every 12xxx km with service book. It has about 10 months MOT left.
Should I buy or pass? I don’t know how the engine is doing and if the chassi has any rust.
