My uni has been making my life so miserable because of their constant remarks on how I look normal and shouldn’t be getting to many accommodations because I don’t look disabled.
They say if I get accommodations others will ask for it too.
Now, I have a report suspecting I have ADHD and Autism and laying out the fact I have significant, disabling learning difficulties that require accommodation.
Should I wait for the psychiatrist to sign off and make it official and lay out a plan or send it now anyway (there’s a lot of confidential stuff on it)

2024.11.26 15:36 Ienin725 My anger got worse during and after the Covid quarantine.

I know this is not about my personality or any trauma, but for some reason my anger and feeling managment is worse than what i used to be in past years. I got more remorses that hit harder in these moments, i got worse empathy, lower tolerance about frustration or something that i'm not confortable. Etc.
I really like videogames and i play online games but this change of behaviour it's very noticeable on games. When i loose in the better cases i just ragequit but in the worse i used to send slurs and fake reporting whoever eliminated me. I abandoned that particular game for about 5 months but then when i was playing other online games i was doing the same exact thing. I figured out that i was feeling that looses like something personal, because it's different when a bot or a npc eliminates me bc it's programed with a certain difficulty or aim because i don't have this type of frustration in offline games but with a normal match it's other person doing that. Instead of just attemptong one more time i can't handle the anger and i even self-harm myself.
Self-harm it's one more of my anger problems, not just in games in other situation when i'm alone like discussing with my family makes me veri angry and my method to calm down is just going to my room, closing the door and self harm myself with punches o marking me with some sharp object, i still have some scars of that situations.
I was almost expelled from my institute for fighting. Some dude that i "stealed" his girl, i don't even care about them but he was pissed bc i was trying to contact her just to apologize and broke contact with her bc she was getting me in trouble with my parents bc her sister knows my mom. But ofc he found out and then he was trying to confront me. I was super reasonable, I tried to explain to him even showing him evidence and without getting upset but he was mad asf telling me to fight and that broke my patience, he was smaller than me and i almost broke his nose.
I hate being watched, i hate doing somebody's stuff only if it's not very important, i hate awful kids, in my freelance work i feel very unconfortable when i know somebody in my house is listening my calls or meetings i don't feel with the enough privacy, it's worse when i'm playing and somebody enter to my room searching for something.
Idk what i gotta do. I feel horrible with horrible thoughs.

This is a little incident. It energized me today and I thought I should share.
I am a little tired today. On the drive back home from my kid’s school, I was imagining how nice it would be to go on a vacation. I started to visualize so I can feel more energized. I started with going on a long drive, watching horses run in grass on the side of the road.
I don’t know why I imagined horses because I have no particular interest in them. I just wanted something beautiful in nature to see and feel amazed and free.
Anyway 2 minutes later, I see a deer running on the side of the road in the grass. Never saw a deer there before (in the last 2 years).
Thats the end of my story. I guess my advice for anyone is - imagine tiny things as part of your daily life (in addition to the big things).

Je prĂ©viens que cela va ĂȘtre un pavĂ© mais il y a beaucoup d’élĂ©ments Ă  prendre en compte. Je m’excuse d’avance et merci Ă  ceux qui vont lire et m’aider. Au passage, ceci est un compte uniquement pour ce post.
Je suis en couple avec mon copain depuis plusieurs annĂ©es. Nous vivons ensemble assez loin de sa famille (2 sƓurs, un frĂšre et une mĂšre). Nous essayons de venir plusieurs fois par an afin qu’ils puissent les voir et passer du temps avec eux. Mon copain reçoit rĂ©guliĂšrement des appels de son frĂšre assez futiles mais il rĂ©pond car c’est son frĂšre, qu’il est handicapĂ© et que c’est actuellement le seul avec qui il a des contacts, il possĂšde peu de contact avec les autres membres de sa famille. Il faut savoir que sa famille s’embrouille rĂ©guliĂšrement, ils peuvent crier pour un oui ou non. Pour avoir vĂ©cu des mois entiers lĂ -bas, j’ai dĂ©jĂ  entendu crier pour du cafĂ©, des histoires de brosses Ă  dents, au milieu de la nuit pour les toilettes etc. Et Ă  chaque fois que l’on va chez ma belle-mĂšre, il est vrai qu’il y a toujours des disputes (ma prĂ©sence, l’argent que l’on dĂ©pense ou pas, le nombre de jours que l’on passe lĂ -bas, ce que l’on mange, le temps que l’on passe sous la douche ..etc).
Mais Ă  chaque fois on revient car c’est la famille, la maman se fait vieille (+60 ans et a une BPCO), le frĂšre est handicapĂ© et ils habitent loin.
Lors d’un appel la semaine derniĂšre, le frĂšre commence Ă  parler de tout le programme pour les fĂȘtes, ce qu’ils allaient faire et acheter, mon copain en a profitĂ© pour parler du fait qu’il hĂ©sitait Ă  venir pour les fĂȘtes car malgrĂ© le dernier sĂ©jour qui s’est mal passĂ© il aurait aimĂ© le passer en famille. Le frĂšre a rĂ©pondu qu’il ne savait pas.
Dimanche on reçoit un appel du frĂšre et il sort un « les filles refusent que tu viennes », mon copain demande des explications, ce Ă  quoi le frĂšre rĂ©pond que c’est le dernier NoĂ«l du chien (on ne sait pas qui l’a dĂ©crĂ©tĂ© surtout qu’à la derniĂšre visite au vĂ©tĂ©rinaire, il a juste dit qu’il fallait des injections pour l’arthrite, il est vieux mais pas non plus mourant), que si on vient cela va crier. De plus, le chien qui dort dans le lit du frĂšre aĂźnĂ© (qui se retrouve du coup Ă  dormir dans le lit qu’on prend quand on vient) va devoir retourner dormir sur le canapĂ© et cela va le chambouler. (Pour info, le chien a deux paniers, le canapĂ© pour dormir ainsi que le lit du frĂšre).
Le frĂšre finit par dire que les filles ont demandĂ© Ă  leurs amis comment les couples fĂȘtaient NoĂ«l, et apparemment ils le fĂȘtent sĂ©parĂ©ment. On a demandĂ© si ma prĂ©sence posait problĂšme, mais non, je ne dĂ©range pas De plus, la maison est devenue trop petite pour accueillir tout le monde (on ne comprends pas car jusqu’à maintenant cela ne posait pas de souci, chacun avait un lit et son intimitĂ©).
Suite Ă  cela, la sƓur aĂźnĂ©e explique que le chien est le roi de la maison, que lorsque sa coloc aura quittĂ© son appartement, elle pourra nous accueillir, et que oui, ils refusent qu’il vienne mĂȘme si c’est potentiellement le dernier du chien et que sa mĂšre se fait vieille. La mĂšre envoie Ă©galement un message en disant qu’il a besoin d’une maison calme et sereine alors que le dernier NoĂ«l que l’on a passĂ© lĂ -bas, la maman a critiquĂ© tout les cadeaux, la nourriture, a sorti un programme tĂ©lĂ© au milieu du rĂ©veillon en se demandant ce qu’elle allait regarder Ă  la tĂ©lĂ© le soir mĂȘme, elle a jetĂ© les livres qu’on lui a offert tout en se pavanant le lendemain en disant que ces livres Ă©taient meilleurs, qu’elle les avaient volĂ©s, tout en rangeant le sapin le 25 en menaçant de le jeter.
De notre cĂŽtĂ© on est abasourdi, quand on va lĂ -bas, on ne fait aucune rĂ©flexion, on propose de payer Ă  manger, on fait des tĂąches mĂ©nagĂšres, on ne commence jamais les disputes. Cet Ă©tĂ©, la derniĂšre dispute a commencĂ© car, une aprĂšs-midi je devais acheter un truc au magasin, j’ai proposĂ© Ă  tout le monde s’ils voulaient que j’achĂšte quelque chose, on m’avait rĂ©pondu « non » et « je vais y aller aprĂšs, ce n’est pas la peine ». J’ai insistĂ© mais mĂȘme rĂ©ponse. En revenant, gros pĂ©tage de plomb car je n’avais rien achetĂ© malgrĂ© leur refus. Et cela a critiquĂ© le fait que je n’achĂšte jamais rien Ă  la famille, que je suis ingrate et j'en passe.
Suite aux messages de la sƓur et de la mĂšre, on n’a rien rĂ©pondu, on a ignorĂ© et on a juste posĂ© nos tĂ©lĂ©phones, car on ne voulait pas s’épuiser pour rien. (Perso, j’aurais bien aimĂ© envoyer un petit message sur le comportement qu’ils ont envers leur frĂšre/fils, mais cela ne servirait certainement Ă  rien).
AprĂšs en avoir discutĂ© ensemble, on s’accorde pour dire que ce sont des excuses, ils ne veulent juste pas de nous lĂ -bas principalement pour des raisons financiĂšres (pour prĂ©ciser, nous avons dĂ©jĂ  proposĂ© de payer les courses de NoĂ«l, et on a dĂ©jĂ  payĂ© le repas du Nouvel an lĂ -bas, cela ne nous dĂ©range pas de participer).
Alors STB de penser que ce sont des excuses bidonnes ? Et au passage, pensez-vous que l’on a bien rĂ©agi (refus de rĂ©pondre aux messages, ignorance totale) ?

Advice for new cat born as a tripod Hi there tripod people I need some advice. I currently have an 8 month old tripod kitty (Trip) at my house on adoption trial.
He is missing 1/2 his back leg and the foster home said he was born like this.
On the adoption site it said he a had no relating medical issues however on the contract it mentions that his stump may need to be amputated in the future.
I'm just worried about how the stump may alter his gait especially in later life?
I have also seen him nibbling at it occasionally.
Regardless of his possible medical costs if he's the right cat for me I'll adopt him. I'm just going to spend the trial period together to see if we click.
I'm just after some guidance and wisdom, and also tips on how to know if myself and the cat are right for each other.

Hey all, am planning to do a trip between Nov 30th - Dec 4th/ 7th. I will be staying at the Ramada near Phuket old town. Was wondering if there any ways to meet other solo travellers? I’ve tried apps like meetup but can’t find anything. Also is it super crowded given that it will be Christmas soon? Also, how is the weather looking? It seems there are scattered showers - hoping this won’t affect the island tour I have planned. Other fun stuff I plan to do include the night market, the (ethical) elephant sanctuary, the gun range and maybe this city tour I found out about. Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Organizers of the 43-year running early September Great Reno Balloon Race are expressing concerns on a new Washoe County Master Plan for Rancho San Rafael Regional Park "which overlooks the needs of the GRBR event and its ability to safely host the annual event.”
A petition which can be found with the title Petition to Protect The Great Reno Balloon Race already has over 2,000 signatures.
In a message forwarded to Our Town Reno, a statement on the renoballoon Instagram page indicates that “despite GRBR’s repeated attempts to have its concerns addressed during the planning process, we are concerned our needs have not been adequately addressed. Reno has already lost iconic events like the Reno Air Races in recent years and, without public input, we might risk losing yet another hallmark event that boosts our local economy and brings families together for one of the few remaining free, community-centered celebrations. Please take a moment to review our statement and take some time to share your thoughts with the Washoe County Commissioners.”
According to the petition, the Master Plan would reduce public access and event space, would fail to maintain safe and adequate parking, and would lead to increased safety risks for pilots.
It concludes: “Despite GRBR’s repeated attempts to have its concerns addressed during the WC’s planning process, GRBR’s needs have not been adequately addressed. Currently, there is no alternative location for the GRBR event in Washoe County that replicates San Rafael Park’s unique conditions for a free hot air balloon event.”
