2024.11.26 17:30 lexipix I have no idea what to major in

I'm currently enrolled in college. I have an idea of what i want to do but also not 100%.. I've always been interested in criminal justice fields but definitely do not want to be a cop. I feel like im more on the side of profiling, or science related fields like toxicology, forensic science. I studied nursing a few years back but dropped out after I decided i hated it and went full time military. I started going back to school at Grand Canyon University while still in the army. Currently enrolled in forensic psychology. should i just continue with that? I feel so stuck, i know psychology can be difficult to find a job with unless you get your masters, I just felt like that would help get an understanding of what I might like. I am mostly worried about getting a useless degree.

I was thinking on building a new PC since my current one is ~6 years old and starting to show it's age. Vanilla Minecraft struggles to run at 30 fps or higher when I'm playing it and in a vc on Discord. I asked a friend for some help and he came up with this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gNgKyg for a build and was wondering how good it is since when it comes to what part makes a part better than another I'm pretty clueless. And since I know not having a budget and what I'll be using it for makes it hard to recommend parts so let me fix that:
Budget $1,500 - $2,000 USD (preferably I'd like to stay at around $1,500 but no more than $2,000) Games: heavily modded Minecraft, Factorio, Crusader Kings 3, Hearts of Iron 4, Victoria 3, Rimworld
As a sidenote for those not familiar with Paradox games they're pretty CPU intensive especially their more recent releases (ck3, and vic3 specifically and probably project caesaeu5)
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated

I'm enlisting as A 35T with airborne, it says that on the contract. ( I'm leaving in March btw) But it says I'm going to Fort Jackson too on paper. But earlier this week I logged into Future Soldier says I have the job locked in, but It says Fort Sill for BCT.
I asked my recruiter, he was confused too, or seemed to be, and he said that "whatever is on paper is where you're going". The dude isn't tech-savvy and is in his 17th year in service. I'm just wondering where I'm going for BCT.

I am getting married next year, my partner and I were both raised with varying degrees of Catholicism in our lives and we are no longer practicing at all. My grandmother who I love (and is also paying for a lot of the wedding) is very upset about us not getting married in the church. I have always dreamed of an outdoor wedding and we decided on a very beautiful venue in a park that my dad loved and he often talked about how he wanted me or my sister to get married there. he passed away very suddenly last year so it would very special place for me. does anyone have any ideas on ways to incorporate Catholicism into this wedding in a way to make my grandma happy. i know that a Catholic priest won’t do a ceremony outside of the church, but is there a way to get a blessing from a priest or something of the like? any other ideas would be greatly appreciated !! thank you ! ❤️
