Hello!
A client would like to have file delete auditing on a file share.
I activated this auditing via GPO:
- Audit Object Access: Success+Failure
- Audit File System: Success+Failure
Problem:
As you likely already know, this generates a lot of "noise" in the Security logs. There are so many event logs generated from File System source. Many caused by the antivirus executable.
The server can't handle this amount of entries and Event Viewer even crashes when loading the security log (with a 2Gb file size).
I turned the auditing off because of this.
Question:
Is there a way to reduce this noise? I have read that it has to do with ACL rules but I don't quite understand this. Ideally, we would log file system events from that file share only (from the folder that contains the files).

Just looking to have an fun and informed discussion/conversation about large format printers and the people that own them, for business or other use.
I have an Epson SC-P 7500 (24" / 60cm) which I have owned for nearly two years now, it was an upgrade from my Epson SC-P600 which I used to make prints for clients from my photography side-hustle. Did I need the P7500. No, and I was aware of that I also factored in the cost of ownership and decided that even if my needs did not justify getting one, I could afford it (both inital investment and running costs) ... and I wanted one.
I was initially just looking to get an upgrade to a decent roll-paper capable printer, and then I looked at the SC-P5000, and then the step up to a 24" older model wasn't that much more expensive, and then I looked and the newer model and it wasn't that much more expensive .... and you know how that goes, at the end of it I got the P-7500 since it was the current model.... and then looked back at where I started looking and shook my head and laughed.
Now two years later, I am doing a bit less photography but more printing... essentially printing for other freelance photographers in the area, plus of course friends, family, etc. (I live in a rural area, so there are few options for local printing)
So while I am not making money hand-over-fist, my printer is for most of the year covering it's own running costs and then in the summer season, it generates a modest profit.
What I do enjoy about having it is that I can immediatly get a big print done when I have something, and the work to get a photo or art to look its best by editing and choosing the "right" paper for it.
At somepoint I might start looking to do it on a larger scale (as in volume, not size)
So, how did you end up with a large format printer?

Is anyone else not able to enable the MP for free flight? When I go into the top right menu I am not able to click on any of the MP options, does anyone know why?
MP is enabled in the settings. Firewall has the game allowed. I am playing on Steam.

2024.11.26 15:49 pinkk_foxx how to poison a rat but also prevent it from dying inside?
Recently around 4 or maybe more rats have been coming inside my hostel room..they've even found my snack stash (inside my wardrobe) which was uninvaded till now..I can't stop their entry since my hostel is quite old and the windows are broken and stuff, there are holes everywhere..im thinking to keep poisoned bait but don't want it to die inside..rat traps are not an option because I am too scared to deal with it after capturing it..Any tips how to do it?
