2024.11.26 18:30 OccultStoner Your aggression settings?
Just curious what settings you use in general or per class?
From my personal observations, I use High for Touring, Stocks but have to use Medium for Open Wheel and Prototypes. Unsure about GT, because it makes sense for AI to be more aggressive in these classes, but considering how much stupid shit they may pull, races can be ruined pretty easily, while cars are powerful and speedy. Also, not sure about Club, because Caterhams, even though are very stable and handle marvelously, it still looks sexier when racing is as clean as it can be, and Road cars, especially higher tier, are extremely unstable.
This is a problem, because it feels like AI is more stupid on lower aggression setting, but on High I get spun out almost every race in Prototypes f.e., and it happens on straights, which is bizarre. Due to air drag, AI doesn't seem to understand the distance, and literally whole straight I just see in rear mirror how AI is stuck in my ass, driving whole section, so when they decide to change line or turn... well you can imagine what happens. Also, not to mention how front cars constantly brake checking you in turns, so cars ahead break away even further.
In other, less powerful classes, cars are more stable and in some it just feels fine to have a certain degree of door banging and spinouts. You're just ready for it, and it's much easier to save the car or recover in general, talking about Stocks f.e., which I also enjoy big time.
Truth be told, I do enjoy Medium aggression, especially in Prototypes, which I race a lot. Racing is pretty clean, as it should be, looks professional. But the problem is how passive and defenceless AI is. I tried to compensate lower aggression with higher strength rating. Problem is, if in Qualy I can barely get P10, in actual race I easily jump in P1 because I get reliable airdrag, and in sections where I can overtake, instead of brake checking me (which is annoying), AI just takes wider or different line literally letting me pass, every single time. And when I get in P1, I can just easily block fast guys behind me. Setting strength even higher is just unrealistic, for Qualy in particular. Jumping from last position to top 3 every race is even more stupid, IMHO.
The positives of Medium aggression is how well AI tends to keep distance between their car and yours. In general, they feel way more aware of the player on track than on High aggression. Wish there was a way to combine the best part of both together...

I love getting my teeth cleaned. I love feeling shots in my mouth. I love the comfy chairs!
Everyone I know hates the dentists. They complain about it with such horrible nasty terms. I love every second of it.
I had a cavity filled 6 months ago and it was a fucking rollercoaster; I loved every second of it. I loved when they rubbed that weird numbing stuff on the inside of mouth. I loved the giant ass needle sliding into my jaw and deadening the nerve. I loved being able to talk despite the worker’s insistence that I shouldn’t just because I can’t feel where my tongue and teeth are. (Guess who memorized what face their position is in at all times for masking baby!)
I love seeing all the cool-ass tools being brought out to cut into me. I love hearing the technicians rant about how the UV curing enamel recipe has changed over the years. I love listening to them discussing how they’re sculpting the top of my tooth to mesh with my bite. Seeing the metal mesh rack of tools sitting next to me that I just know is going to get a sterilizing ultrasonic UV bath after I’m done just really gets me going in a way I can scarcely comprehend.
I fucking love going to the dentist. I love having my teeth cleaned like those big fish that let shrimps pick around inside their mouth. I’m a deep sea predator and I’m getting my teeth cleaned. Fuck Yeah!
