I’m not really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. It’s always been one of my favorite holidays, but this will be the first one without my best friend—my pet, Jasper.
He was with me through everything, always right by my side, especially during family gatherings. He’d sit under the table, hoping for scraps, or curl up next to me when things got overwhelming.
Now, the thought of sitting at the table without him there just feels so empty. Everyone says the first holidays without them are the hardest, and I’m really feeling that right now.
I don’t even know how to approach the day. I miss him so much, and it feels like such a big piece of the joy is gone. How do you all cope with the holidays after such a loss?

Hey all. I am what they would consider to be lean PCOS. I started having abnormal mid cycle bleeding back in August and I just thought it was a one off thing. However, the next month, after some stress, it got significantly heavier.
So the way it goes now, I would have myregular period for 5 days and then I would get a break for about 5-6 days and then the 2nd period would start and last about 7-8 days and then I am free for a few days and then my real period starts again. In October I decided to go to the doctor because I was saying the new job i had is a little stressful and could be causing an imbalance, but I need to know what's happening.
They did an ultrasound and found no fibroids but said my right ovary is basically a little larger than my left and has multiple peripherally located follicles. This month in November, my 2nd period is the heaviest so far, I passed clots the past 2 days and I have been bleeding 6 days already.
I don't understand how it could be getting worse? I am already eating better. I cut my carbs since September and I would say October was a better month during the 2nd period and I kind of increased a little but I always make sure to pair with fat and protein because I was losing weight and I don't want to as I am already lean. I have gained back about a pound now but I am about 124 and 5'7.5.
Could it be the stress? I just want this to stop. Any advice? Thanks

I 21M have a crush on a friend 21F. We all go to a music institute and learn instruments. It’s not an rigorous academia and we just take private lessons once a week so it’s pretty chill, that’s why when one of our friends was moving, there was a small going away dinner where the teachers were invited too. It’s a small community there so everybody kind of knows everybody. And it’s a very casual setting, it’s not like a professional relationship you would have with your school teachers.
There were 7 of us. Three teachers and four students at the table and my crush was handing out the soda cans to all of us. She placed the soda infront of everybody but when it was her teacher’s turn, she cracked it open and let the fizz go out for 2 seconds and then placed it down. After, it was my turn, she simple put it down. It was so casually done, while she opened the can for him, she was already talking and laughing with her friend across the room. It didn’t even look like a conscious decision to me. And nobody bat an eye on it. He said oh thanks, but so did everybody when they got their sodas. I studied under the same teacher last year, he’s a very gentle guy. It makes sense for her to like him but I wouldn’t expect him to date someone 9 years younger.
It could be because he’s older than us so it’s a sign of respect but he wasn’t the only teacher there.

Our daughter will be 8 weeks on Thursday, and she’s a great sleeper overnight if she’s held. When we try to put her in there bassinet or crib it’s another story. We’ve gotten a few stretches of two or three hours, but it’s typically 10-15 minutes before she stirs and starts crying. When she wakes in the middle of the night I don’t even try going back to bed, because I end up being more tired having to wake so often. I soothe her and put her back in the crib for as long as I can at night, but end up giving in somewhere around 4-5 am and then just hold her for the rest of the night (which then makes me feel guilty that I’m not sticking with it). For those that experienced something similar, when did things turn for you? Looking for some positive stories here (the ones about toddlers who are still terrible sleepers terrify me - not sure how long I can last being this sleep deprived!)

2024.11.26 18:29 Emotional-Office-712 Help! Pc 5+ minute slow boot times+ task bar not working
Hello Guys!
My PC was all fine and working great up until about 2 weeks ago I started having some issues:
1. My PC boot time has increased to almost 5 or more minutes and when I turn it on it stays on a gray screen for a long time until it loads me in.
2. Sometimes when I load in my taskbar does not work and my task manager shows 0 processes
BTW: I have found the fix to this I just go to CMD and SFC Scan now which solves that temporarily.
My main worry is how can I fix this so my PC can just be normal again, what is causing the issue, because my specs are pretty good, and I don't know why all of the sudden this is happening.
Please Let me know if you need any more information.
