Hi everyone!
I’ve been searching for the perfect monitor for a couple of months now, and it’s starting to drive me a bit mad. With Black Friday deals underway, I’m seriously considering the Gigabyte M32U, which I can get for €430. However, I just discovered that a newer model, the Gigabyte M32UP, has launched (at least in Australia).
The M32UP apparently offers a 160Hz refresh rate, but I’m not sure if there are other upgrades compared to the M32U. My big question is: Is the M32U still worth buying for €430, despite being three years old, or should I wait for the M32UP and hope it’s not too expensive?
Alternatively, I’d love recommendations for an all-around monitor that’s great for gaming and programming. My ideal specs:
- 4K resolution
- 28 to 32 inches
- Budget: €300–650

Hi, I have seen answers to similar questions as this however they are from a good few years ago so thought I'd ask again. I have applied to 2 courses at the Uni of Edinburgh since it is the one I'd really like to go to the most, so I applied for 1 single honours and 1 joint honours, since the joint had lower entry requirements. I'd like to do the single honours the most however I'd be more than happy to do either. On the application confirmation email from the uni it says this:
"If you have applied to more than one degree programme at the University, then please email as soon as you can - and no later than 29 January 2025 - to confirm what your preferred degree would be. It is unusual for us to make more than one offer per applicant, and we will assume that you are happy to receive an offer for any degree that you have applied to. Indicating a preference does not guarantee that an offer will be made. If you wish to change your application to be considered for a degree that you did not originally apply for, we are unable to guarantee that we can honour these requests after 29 January 2025."
So, I would say I'd prefer to do the single honours - but then, does this mean that there is no chance I could get into the joint honours? I am reluctant to discard the joint one, if so, in case I don't meet the single one's entry requirements and then get rejected from both. Basically I am asking, if I state my preferred one will I ONLY be able to get an offer for that one. If I say I prefer the single honours but then get rejected from that is there no chance they'd offer me the joint honours instead? If this is the case should I consider changing one of them to a different university to better my chances? I hope this makes sense. If anyone has any experience with something similar or any advice I would appreciate it. Thankyou! :)

Following the surprising victory at Pistoia by Pazzi forces along with the news of both Pope Alexander and Cardinal Medici. The situation had taken quite a turn however the Genoese had still managed to secure the Lunigiana and Lucca, only being a stone throw away from Florence itself. With the Pazzi successful but beleaguered negotiations were soon held between the Republics with the Venetians acting as mediators. After much discussion a compromise finally was reached and a treaty was made.
The terms of the Treaty of Pistoia goes as follows:
- The Republic of Florence cedes the territories of the Lunigiana in their entirety to the Superb Republic of Genoa
- The lands formerly occupied by the Republic of Lucca will be released as a vassal of both Genoa and Florence. Under this treaty, the Lucchese are obligated to come to the military assistance of the Republic of Florence against the Medici restorationists as part of their vassal contract.
- The mainland of Piombino is returned to the Appiano family who confirm their ties to the Republic of Genoa as vassal for a compensation fee of 350,000 florins.
- The payment plan approved will be a lump sum of 175,000 florins due this year, and a severance payment of 35,000 florins per year for 5 years leading to the total of 350,000 florins.
- The Austrian War Reparations to Florence (100,000 florins) captured by the Genovese will be returned to Florence in its entirety on the signing of the treaty.
- The Peace Treaty will last for a total of 10 years, starting January 1509 and lasting till January 1519.
- The Superb Republic of Genoa recognizes the Republican Government of Florence headed by the Pazzis as the rightful government of Florence.
- The Superb Republic of Genoa is forbidden to interfere in the affairs of the rest of the conflict between the Medici and the Republic of Florence.

I (19 FTM) Assigned female at birth and have been on HRT for a year (I have a slight stubble and Adam’s apple). My boyfriend is the sweetest man ever and fully accepts my transition, let's call him Jimbob for now. Jimbob’s family is like a comedy skit almost, Super conservative and MAGA. So Jimbob really wants me to meet his family for an early Thanksgiving (I don't celebrate it personally). So we get there and his family is immediately judging me, ranging from my snake tattoo on my hand (just a small little coiled-up snake with its tail into a heart) to my “liberal piercings” (just a pierced ear). Besides that, they're pretty chill for the rest of the day, and then they drop the “What are those scars on your arm?” referring to the needle scars from HRT. I explain I wasn't born a man and Jimbob’s mother (let's call her Janet) Janet pulls Jimbob aside and the two have a hushed argument. Jimbob and Janet then walk away and Jimbob walks over to me and we walk out for the night. He then tells me on the car ride that he's “not allowed to date someone like me”, I ask what that means and he says “Someone under the devil’s influence” and I blow up. In retrospect, I could've been nicer but I was just done with the comments and such. My family says I'm not the jerk but Jimbob says I was. So am I?

Before somebody asks, no it's not a text, it's the regular emergency system popups you'd usually get for weather or an amber alert, but for some reason it says that AT&T is running a test... Which is strange considering last I checked Xfinity Mobile ran on Verizon towers, not AT&T.

I was recently watching a Boit video where he talked about a Gaia combo with Leto-->Rheia for Arcus armor boosts and then to Hekate to boost the slow, tanky Automatons and Behemouths. I've never seen this strategy used and it got me thinking about other minor God path combos that have potential, but just aren't used because the alternative strats are just better.
Sobek-->Osiris for stronger camels is another that comes to mind.
Any other fun combos you've found that aren't used much?
