My new kitten goes after my boy Clover without hesitation and attempts to immediately grab him on the neck. Clover doesn't issue clear boundaries, but my other cat Goose is very expressive about her boundaries so the kitten stays clear of her. Clover is getting stressed about this, so I've taken them back to square 1 of slowly introducing. Does anyone have advice on how to properly introduce a kitten and make sure this doesn't become a bullying situation where he targets 1 cat that doesn't express boundaries?

2024.11.26 21:23 Roharu_Eruna Advice to prevent my dog from drinking Pool water? Otherwise, is it okay to change her space for two weeks or longer?
I have an 8 month old puppy who just picked up the habit of drinking pool water from the backyard instead of the one in the water bowl. Worse yet, she is 'cleaning' her paws on her own bowl and scratches the ground!
At first, we thought she refused to drink the water on her bowl because it got dirt on it.... it was later than we found out that she purposely submerges both her dirty paws in it, scratches the ground as if to look for something, and then drinks from the pool!
We are getting fences around the pool to stop her from having access to it. Sadly, she is now confined on a very small laundry room until we finished working on it. She is of course allowed inside the house, but not while we are all working outside.
Any ideas to try and keep her on the large backyard with the pool?
Or is it okay for her to endure the change of space for two weeks or so until we finished with the fences?

Throwaway account because this is private for me.
My parent died three years ago.
My sibling is the executor of the estate.
Our parent’s will leaves a house and life insurance to a surviving partner (not our other parent), and the balance to us, 50/50.
My parent’s partner now owns the house outright.
The insurance was paid out to my late parent’s surviving partner in months.
The estate, comprised, I understand, of savings and investments, is still not settled.
I have been borrowing from my (wealthy) sibling against the estate on a monthly basis while urging that the estate be settled. This is effectively my income while I retrain, which is what I wished to use my inheritance to do.
(I had thought this may be a solution for six months. I did not think it would take three years. I thought I would have what my parent left me, be able to save, invest, etc.)
Rough numbers re. the value of the estate were texted to me earlier this year based on a sworn affidavit, and I am trying to move forward with my life on this basis.
I was then told I may be out of money, but that does not align with the affadavit.
I cannot get answers from either my sibling or from the lawyer hired by my sibling as to why this estate is taking three years (to date) to settle, a timeline for settlement, or an updated, full accounting so I know where I stand.
I have been trying to keep the peace, but now a lack of communication has become a lack of responsiveness—no one will give me answers or reply to me, but, up to November, money was sent—so I am at an absolute loss.
I can’t afford a lawyer, though I know my rights as a benefactor (timely settlement, communication, etc.) are not being met.
I also cannot afford my rent, food, my tuition, etc., if my sibling continues to ignore me for December.
Could you please help me understand why this estate might be taking so long to settle and what legal options I might have if I could raise the money?
Also, while I am grateful for the loans I do need, do they constitute an abuse of power, if they are used to bankrupt me by not settling the estate?

2024.11.26 21:23 cpt-crustacean [s2 act 3 spoilers] Arcane would've been so better off without the arcane in it, and the writers were wrong for moving away from politics
don't get me wrong, i do love this show and will continue to. but this season and its ending massively hurt how much i enjoy it.
from the first act there's immediately too much going on to be resolved in one season. lots of people complain about how rushed the show has felt this season, and i think the arcane element is why. season 1 got so much love because of the focus on the class conflict, alongside vi and jinx. the arcane was a backdrop to this conflict, adding to the class features (hexgates prompting trade etc).
in season two the arcane went from a backdrop to the story to fighting alongside the story. viktors story as jesus was so good, adding to the scenes of despair in zaun. mels was good, a pawn in a game of politics. this went off the fucking rails so fast, where the stakes suddenly become MCU-like, where all people are at stake and viktor is in multiple timelines to resolve the threat that he caused as a cosmic entity of the arcane. what the shit.
trouble in unifying a moral revolution? lovely. navigation of a political labirynth? splendid.
a jinxer saw an enforcer help an old lady and immediately decided to become one? huh. cosmic proportions threatening to fix all peoples flaws? how is this related to the show.
the writers got ass man. they said they wanted to keep the politics away from the show and all that did was complicate it, choosing the path of least resistance in a show thats centered around resistance. apologies for the rant, but this season made me lose faith in one of my favourite media pieces.
