Not sure about anyone else who’s had smoking issues in the past but I think I’ve found my way out for good and wanted to share
It sounds way too simple but every time my brain tries to rationalize (I’ve been off it for a while, I’ve had a long day, I deserve a break, etc.) there’s a small voice in my head that says “come on dude, don’t be a dumbass, you know what’s happening” amongst the malicious justifying voices.
It feels like I’ve finally just learned to let that voice of reason take control. whether I’m in the car and I’m about to take a detour to the store, or I’m about to google a website for herb delivery, that voice (no matter how quiet it may be sometimes) that says I’m being weak and stupid is still there.
Humans are known to do more to avoid pain than to seek pleasure, so Ive been bringing myself to that state of shame right after I pick up again and feel that useless pattern beginning for the 100th time.
Anyone have a different process or method when they can feel those weak rationalizing voices start to pipe up again after a long day/week?

Curious if anybody has experience with this or knows what will happen. I'm planning to quit my firm and move countries, however I owe the firm money (let's say somewhere between $5,000-$12,000) mostly for CPA fees/other.

Hola, vivo con mi novia desde hace un tiempo, ella es buena en todo y muy cariñosa, pero hemos estado teniendo problemas porque ella tiene pesadillas muy raras, pasa que en mitad de la noche se pone a gritar fuerte como si la estuvieran matando. He estado durmiendo muy mal por eso todo este tiempo, cuando la despierto tengo que esperar que se calme porque despierta demasiado asustada y disociada, tenemos que esperar que ella deje de sentirse en peligro para poder dormir. Le he preguntado si alguna vez pasó por algo traumatico como para tener pesadillas tan feas. Pero ella me dice que no lo recuerda y le creo porque ha estado intentando recordar, porque tampoco la pasa bien, pero dice que su mente está en blanco. Quizá habrá bloqueado esos recuerdos, pero al menos a mi cuando me han pasado cosas traumaticas nunca he pasado por eso de no recordar nada. Será que solo es su subcosnciente y es una coincidencia? O si le habrá pasado algo y no lo puede recordar? Es una chica muy tranquila y normal, esto es lo único loco que hace. Tampoco ha sido abusada sexualmente, no presenta las caracteristicas de una victima de abuso sexual y tuvo una infancia normal. Qué podría ser? Ha estado yendo a terapia y el psicologo no le ha encontrado ningun transtorno, ni siquiera depresión. He intentado ayudarla pero su mente está en blanco. Será un tipo raro de sonambulismo? Tampoco parece ser páralisis del sueño, porque ella no siente esos sintomas, solo despierta gritando como si la fueran a matar.

She was the best girl. She was fifteen and a half. I had her since I was eleven years old. She would drink from the faucet and sleep with me every night. She suddenly became paralyzed from saddle thrombus, and she was gone a couple hours later. I don't know how to cope with this, but I just wanted to share my best friend with people who I know love cats. I know she lived a good life, but she was so healthy otherwise. I thought I was going to have her until she was twenty. And this is three days after blood clots took my paternal uncle. Life just doesn't feel fair. Past few weeks has brought in some good news for Rivian

• VW increased their investment by 800M and signed the deal for JV
  
• DOE approved 6B for Georgia plant
  
• looks like rivian has been able to reduce cost on r1 by 20%. May be more if they start delivering more vehicles so fixed costs are utilized more efficiently.
  
• broke ground on constructing extension at Normal plant for r2 production
  

Now that funding is not the bottleneck, I really hope ones the DOE deal is signed (hopefully before Jan 20), Rivian executive team follows it with a bumper announcement of expediting RAN expansion by spending 1B. Their charging network already has great uptime. If they are available everywhere, consumers will have one less thing to worry about. That will make them a true Tesla competitor. Thoughts?

I want to first state that I don’t condone cheating. However what my wife is doing is extreme. Disowning your own child is beyond psychopathic. Everyone knows that cheating is morally wrong but it’s not illegal, she’s acting like he should be criminal or put an electrical chair over this and that’s where I have an issue
Some background information: my son married his high school sweetheart. They dated in high school and married at 18. I was against the marriage due to their age I just always knew it wasn’t going to work out because they were so young. They are married 4 years (still currently married). They are 22 years old now and they have 1 child together
My son cheated on his wife while she was pregnant. His wife forgave him for the cheating and they ended up working it out and they have been going to marriage counseling consistently for the past year and a half
So my wife is the only one that can’t forgive this. My son’s wife forgave him but my wife completely cut my son out of the picture, she doesn’t talk to him anymore, she doesn’t even see our grandchild anymore
My wife is strongly against cheating and she’s very religious so this upsets her a lot that our son did this. And I fully understand my son was an idiot for what he did however his own wife forgave him but my wife hasn’t spoken to our son since and on top of that she isn’t seeing our grandchild which is so ridiculous. She said she wants nothing to do with them
