2024.11.27 00:37 Goosenecked_ Quitting current job before having another offer confirmed?
I’m an EIT and have a little more than 2.5 years of experience at my current employer which is the job I’ve held since I graduated. I am considering a job change for a number of reasons but am not 100% of the direction I want to go. My question is would it be a bad idea to quit my current job before having another offered confirmed? Im not particularly concerned about my savings and living off it while looking for a new I’m more worried about how this will affect actually getting a job. I would like to take a few weeks to maybe a month off before I start hitting the job search heavy but while talking about the situation with my dad he is adamant that I have another job offer before I quit. His reasonings are that it looks bad for a hiring manager if you’re not currently employed and that they would be more willing to match my current salary which I get but is this really as big a deal as he’s making it seem? I currently work at a private consulting firm in the power distribution industry but am leaning towards trying out the public sector like a local municipality or DOT as I am feeling a little burnt out and do not get to ever go into the field with my current position. Would it really look that crazy if I had a month break between jobs to a potential recruiter and have to expect they aren’t likely to match my previous salary?

I can feel it and sometimes it hurts but I have a low pain threshold! It’s worrying me, making me feel like I’m going to the wrong person. I feel it more in certain areas around the lip area the chin is usually ok, but the upper lip I feel and don’t like it and feel the little sensation of the needle and plucking!

I have been taking Lupin but considering switching over to accord. Is the difference between lupin and accord that much of a major difference in effectiveness? I've searched online and offline sources of grow lights and found diddly squat for an actual 2ft by 4ft 300 watt light fixture using full spectrum led's such as Samsung LM301H diodes. Why do I need a 2X4 fixture? Because I am growing large numbers (50,000+ per year) of tomato and pepper seedlings on a 6 tier light stand. I need full coverage on each seedling. I'm not interested in anything smallewidespiffiehigher output. I know how much light intensity tomatoes and peppers need and I know it only works effectively when light is directly above the seedling in the setup I will be using. What I don't know is where to find a 2' by 4' led light fixture that uses @300 watts.
