Hello all,
I've noticed a growing trend of offices that are advertising themselves with discounted NP offers, which are hurting their brand and showcasing themselves as discount doctors (no offense). Just the other day, I spoke to an owner doing 140k/mo and even established practices are making this mistake.
This attracts patients (the wrong kind) who come in for the discount rather than the doctor. They don't truly understand the value of chiropractic care or see it as the solution. And will be unhappy with your care and end up giving you a 1-star review. Just a total headache.
Please don't make this mistake...
Using social media, we can build a local audience of people (who know, like, and trust us).
This can mean focusing on short educational and entertaining content. Such as videos that explain common symptoms or how chiropractic can help. In essence, providing value to your local community by showing our faces on video. (building our personal brand) And I promise it's not as hard as you think and works quickly when you put a $100-200/mo behind it.
This works much much better than any $19 adjustment offer.
Building a brand attracts patients who respect us and want our care for the right reasons. These are the patients who stick around, refer others, and understand the value of chiro.
We won't grow this industry with discount ads but by educating our local communities.
My belief is that it's every chiropractor's responsibility to educate their local community. And a successful practice will be the by-product.

A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money. Hiring a private trainer for your pup normally costs $100+ per hour and taking them to puppy preschool is typically $150 for 6 classes that just go over the basics (sit, stay etc.). Not to mention if you want to take your dog to the more advanced classes after puppy preschool it's hundreds more. She made this course so she can spend time with her pups whilst still helping people train their dogs.
Adrienne teaches everything covered there in this one course so you can teach your pup in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace and for a fraction of the price. The best part is, she works with you as you teach your pup, you can reach out to her whenever you run into any issues and she'll help. So you still get the 1 on 1 expert opinion that you'd get from a private trainer, all you have to do is send her an explanation or video of the problem you're trying to address or issues in teaching that you're having.

2024.11.27 00:30 taammon Have an old(ish) projector– wondering whether it's time for an upgrade
I just finished a modest setup compared to most people here, but I love it. Have a fixed screen that I like and a dark room, mounted my old projector to the ceiling.
I had bought the projector seven years ago or so, used it for two years, and then it's been in storage up until recently (other than the odd backyard watchparty). However, it is noticeably dimmer than I remember, and seems to be getting worse.
If I replaced the bulb, would that extend its lifespan significantly?
The bulb has 3000 hours on it. The projector is an Epson Home Cinema 1060 bought in 2018.
If I need to replace it though, I'm not looking to spend more than $1000. Is it worth waiting until 2025 refresh, will there be anything in that price range? Maybe it's unknown right now. I would say I am a moderately frequent user, probably do 2 movie watchparties a week or so. I don't think I necessarily need 4k, but color accuracy and brightness are important, and a quiet fan if possible.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Is it typical for forehead botox to cause some heaviness in the beginning? I got it for medical purposes not cosmetic so she did 16 units. My forehead just feels heavy and it’s causing some eye strain/heavy eyes. Does this settle and go away?

I have a girlfriend of whom I love with all my heart but before we met, she had been into a relationship/fwb situation with his guy named Parker and I hate to say it but he got my girlfriend high at the time and had sex with her while she was under the influence. I really want to get revenge and beat him for it because this isn’t the first girl I’ve known that he’s done this to, just thinking about what he’s done to my beautiful girl and the innocence he took makes my blood boil and it makes me almost want to greatly harm him, I hate him so much, I’ve made several posts before detailing my hate for him but I still never feel complete, I’ve confronted my anger before, I’ve talked about it to my girlfriend, and I’ve tried to find routes to manage my anger but nothing has prevailed and I know fighting him won’t fix anything since it’s already happened. Just feels like I’ve already lost and there’s nothing to do anymore, she’s already stated that she doesn’t want to go forward about it to her family or cops which also toys with my mind and makes me think maybe there’s more to the story, I’m just so pissed off everyday because of it and it was a year ago it happened now, I’m so angry, upset, lost, and confused, it’s more of my problem then it is hers but how do I manage something that houses all of my anger and hatred? I just wanna forget about it and start everything from a clean slate.

* Always use PayPal/Venmo G&S when buying from someone with under 15 flair on the sub. A scammer will give a BS reason why they can't accept G&S. Anyone with under 15 flair MUST accept G&S as a form of payment according to the rules of the sub. This rule is non-negotiable. If they will not, please report them to the mods.
* Ask a potential seller to comment on your post. This proves that they are not banned from the sub. That doesn't always mean they are a scammer though. It could just mean that they do not meet the sub requirements to become an approved member. They still need to accept G&S though. Check the banned list and vet the seller through their profile.
* Ask for specific timestamped pictures. A "timestamp" is a picture a seller takes with a handwritten note including their username and date next to the item they are selling. Ask for this with "odd" requests such as a picture of the bottle on its side or with the cap off, etc. If they are not willing to provide that then avoid the transaction and report them to the mods. Scammers are becoming crafty and often try and photoshop the timestamp in with a picture they found on google. Be aware and inspect timestamps closely for evidence of photoshopping. Look for blurred edges of paper, shadows not matching up with others in the picture, etc. If you are in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us with the picture.
* "Sellers" who start the conversation off with "WTS (insert frag you're looking for)" are 99.99% most likely a scammer. Scammers will always give you a great deal, or ask you to name your price. Any "seller" who is willing to accept half payment upfront then the other half after delivery to avoid using G&S is most likely a scammer. If it seems to good to be true or fishy, it most likely is.

Hi everyone, I’ve been on the combo pill for about 3 years but it was because of suspected PCOS and had nothing to do with sex.
Long story short I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years so there’s been an extra advantage to being on the pill. I know how effective the pill is and I’ve done a lot of research on it when it comes to protection once I became sexually active.
Despite knowing how effective the pill is me and my boyfriend still use condoms. I know it isnt a bad thing to have extra protection but I feel silly letting my fears of getting pregnant overtake the science of how effective the pill is.
Me and my boyfriend have talked about this and he’s been great and really understanding. My boyfriend is fine with whatever makes me comfortable but I want to learn to trust the pill for myself and not be anxious anymore.
So how did you guys get over your fears/anxieties and learned to trust your pill?
