I was in the auction and I found a 2014 Toyota Scion TC listed for 3,200$ it has 82,588 miles and has some dents and very visible bad paint on passenger door front and back. But I feel like it’s too good to be true. I am in another country and can’t do the OBD test or anything else. I don’t want to buy it, have it shipped and be a junk box. The auction says it runs and drives (don’t mean I can drive it on roads) but what do you guys think???

Let's jot down some not so obvious tips n tricks we've noticed that may not be very noticable
After 45+ hours I've tailored a bit of my play around these little things, placebo or not.

Armor has weak points: Aim for the joints, pits, neck, side of head, ears, feet, etc.
Do small bar jobs, they increase your reputation and increase rewards for other jobs or when selling goods.
revisit zones: new quests and side stuff pop up in anomalous fields and towns, even in little shacks and side areas.
it's OK to not loot everything: the bread or vodka you leave lying around may be helpful next time you are in the area doing a side job or artifact hunting.
hunt artifacts: should be obvious, but just cause you leave the lesser zone, doesn't mean artifact stop spawning there, every new emission is a chance for loot.
mysterious dead stalkers and thier PDAs: I have notices that when running through a same area numerous times, I find bodies that wasn't there previously, these bods can have PDA that lead me to some choice loot or to an encounter I would not have had had I not got that corse on that run.
unique mutants: not all mutants have the same defensive stats, and by that I mean not all blood suckers and dogs are the same, sometimes you notice a dog is more skittish if you have a shotgun or and AR, and it approaches more aggressively or just runs away.
Making Money: increased rep leads to selling stuff for better prices, ammo and artifacts are the best value for weight. You can sell back mods on broken weapons to a tech for dosh, and sell red break items to ragman in rostok.

Hopefully some of this was helpful, im sure most of you already noticed alot of these but I thought I should share.
Again some of these may just be placebo but it has drastically effected how I approach the zone and overall improved my experience.

I'm currently working on a new maintenance guide for the 2015-2021 Mk7/7.5 Golf GTI but editing is going to take. some. time. so I figured to share these now (because why not?). And yes, I paid thirty-seven real American dollars to access and download these then organized them and created downloadable links for each and every one.
These PDFs are from erWIN, VW's online repository for service information. Each has an initial popup that "repairs may only be performed by trained personnel" that must be agreed to, as well as a subsequent "Cautions and Warnings" section that must be scrolled through before clicking another "OK" button. If the OK button doesn't work, open the file directly from its downloaded location rather than from the internet browser. By turning off JavaScript in Adobe Acrobat and using it to open the files, these steps can be avoided (Menu > Preferences > JavaScript). All are the most current versions available as of November 2024.

For some manuals like the Fuse Box Diagrams, you will need the vehicle's production date (I think that's what it's indicating... tell me if I'm wrong). On the bottom of the B-pillar behind the driver's door is a label with a month and year on it (mm/yy) as well as other information such as the VIN.
EA888 Gen3 engines in the manuals are as follows: a 2015-2017 Non-PP is CXCA, a 2015-2017 PP is CXCB, all 2018s are CXCB, and all 2019-2021s are DKFA.
DSG transmissions in the manuals are as follows: the 6-speed used from 2015-2018 is a DQ250 found under 0D9 and the 7-speed used from 2019-2021 is a DQ381 found under 0GC.
The manual transmission is an MQ350 found under 02Q.
This chart details the fluid capacities of each model year. Note that the VAQ fluid capacity is undefined since a leveling procedure is involved but a single 850mL bottle is more than adequate.

2018-2021 Maintenance Manual Note: Although this is the correct and most current edition, it lacks features like headlight diagrams and the correct 7-speed DSG information. Fortunately, any important information can be found in other manuals.

2024.11.27 00:40 CommunistCthulhu Legion 5 15' stopped working

My Laptop wouldn't properly shutdown earlier (shutdown was done but fans were still running after minutes) and I force shut it down. Stupid, yes, but here I am now.
The only thing that turns on now is the light on the power button and the power symbol on the back. No fans, no screen, no anything.
I've tried holding the power for over a minute several times, I've tried to spam/hold the bios and novo buttons after pressing power but nothing worked so far. Gonna try removing the battery next if no one has a better idea.
I think it might be related to the nvidia update I installed today, but I have no clue to be frank.
Gonna head to bed now, I really hope I've got a useful answer when I wake up :(

Hello. I’m looking to sell 174 cards they are all Holos Vs Vstars Vmax and full arts. I’d say about 10 of the cards are only with 5-10$ the rest random lower amounts. Would selling the lot for 250$ be fair to me and the buyer? It would average to about 1.45$ card. the Holos are all shinnies radiants. 2024.11.27 00:40 SketchupandFries How to prevent a Windows update from bricking my PC every couple of weeks...

I'm being forced a windows update.
So, about a month ago I let this update install - it totally bricked my computer and I had to go through some long winded restore point (which I was lucky to even have, as I usually switch off restore points) windows managed to start up and began to roll back and remove the update, after like 5 reboots it was back to where it was before.
It was pretty touch and go at one point where I thought I'd lose everything and have to reformat and install the OS again.
I suspect it's due to having a brand new motherboard and processor that is still having some issues ironed out..
In all my decades of using computers, I've never come across a piece of standard software not working because the motherboard needed a bios uodate.. but it happened.
I was unable to use an essential plugin in my music software until a BIOS update fixed something called "AGESA compatibility".. very weird. I spent 3 weeks trying to fix that, tearing my hair out. Reinstalling different Windows version three times with the same result. Then the BIOS update fixed it immediately. Face palm.
Anyway, "Pause Updates for 7 Days" option is greyed out Advanced options " Pause Updates until date" is greyed out
Apparently me putting it off has finally elapsed. At some point it's going to force restart (possibly next reboot) and go through the same damn bricking process all over again.
Is there any way to stop this?
This is all in Windows 10. I've actually set up a dual-boot with Windows 11, with all the exact same programs installed.
I can use that if Win10 goes wrong and locks me out. But even on this workstation that I built purely for work (AMD Ryzen 9 9950x - no graphics card - just using integrated graphics, which has actually been perfect!)
But Windows 11 is a damn slow. Even after a massive debloat and clean up. My benchmarks are all 5-10% slower. This computer is literally only running one piece of software to do my work (Cubase). I don't even want it online most of the time, only to download and send project files to people .
So, can I turn off Windows update somehow, all it does is break things on this otherwise perfectly well running machine. I'm unlikely to download and run and viruses or visit any malicious sites as everything I up/down goes through Dropbox.

This is my fourth tattoo on human skin. I’m in a tattoo school because my state requires it. The goal is solid lines in a single pass. My teachers say my speed is ok but I need to work on my depth/pressure consistency. Does anyone have any tips on how I can practice this in between class days? The school doesn’t really want us tattooing on fake skin in our own time because it could reinforce bad habits.
