This game has to be one of the biggest letdowns of the year. I saved up so much money to buy this game so I could play it with my friends. The result? Constant communication errors and not being able to transform/switch characters as player 2. And to make it worse, instead of fixing their game, Bandai has decided to ban mods because anything but fixing the most anticipated game of the year, right? Absolutely amazing. If I could refund it, I would.

I don’t think my mom is narcissistic but I need to know WHAT she is if anyone can help me.
Traits: 1. Everything is “mid” to her. Nothing really tastes great, looks great, etc. ESPECIALLY if she knows you worked really hard on it. 2. Very pitiful around holidays. If I celebrate with in laws on the actual holiday and not with her, she acts mad and won’t really talk to me for a few days. Sarcastically tells me to “enjoy my company” when doing anything with someone else. 3. Argumentative and contradicts everything you say. If it is 90° outside on my weather app, she has to point out that hers is 89°. If I say I saw rain in the forecast, she “doesn’t see that”. 4. If I recommend something to her that I like, she blows it off. But if someone were to recommend that same thing, she would run out and purchase it. It always means more to her when she hears something from someone else rather than me, or she takes it more seriously. 5. Acts like I am a celebrity when introducing me to others that I don’t know. Very overly-excited “THIS IS MY DAUGHTER!!”. Pointing this out because this is not her “energy” 95% of the time so it comes off strong to me when she does this.
Is there a word for what she is? Is this a disorder? I feel like it may help me to get some insight on how to manage this better if I knew exactly how to pin-point what exactly she is so that I could possibly find a community of others raised by parents such as herself.
Also, if there is a community that this would be better posted on, please let me know as I am not familiar. Thanks so much!

Look at what is happening, there’s a pattern if you pay attention. It’s not that hard to work out.

Hey everyone, I am new to this subreddit. I grew up in a freewill Baptist household in the Bible belt. My mother is slightly mentally delayed and that's why she attached to religion so easily in her 20's. Anyways, my childhood was hell due to the religious trauma. I had severe anxiety disorder as a kid and was always told it was "demons" or that God was making me feel like shit as a "conviction" to get saved. On top of this I had developed OCD leading me to having recurrent impulses that if I did not do something so many times I would burn in hell. I would plug my ears at church growing up and it was a constant state of anxiety all the time. Like a panic attack that lasted for years. Now that I am older and completely anti-religion I have trouble connecting with my mother. Like I said earlier, mentally she is slightly delayed so that always makes me kind of sad but at the same time I feel so much rage when I think about what she put me through for YEARS. My life was torment. She tries to talk to me sometimes but I just can't help but feel so angry with her that I can't stand to talk to her. When I have brought up this to her for closure she still stands by the religious batshit ideology that plagued me in the first place. Is there anyone here in a similar situation and how did you go about it? Should I feel bad for NOT talking to my mother? Thank you all.

I am applying to counseling psychology programs so I am not sure if the same rules apply for other programs. I have discussed my broad interests and ideas pertaining to what I want my research to focus on in my SOP’s, connecting it to current faculty projects and research centers but have not identified specific research questions I want to pursue. I have seen how effective it can be to already have research questions outlined in your SOP’s, but I have been having a hard time with this due to limited time to review enough literature to develop something solid.
