2024.11.27 10:29 CrownFlame Looking to recreate my grandma’s date and nut bread recipe.
I posted this in the ask baking sub and tried a recipe. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the way hers did. The texture seemed right, but the flavor seemed off and the color was super dark, whereas my grandma’s was light. Here’s a picture of the loaf I made.

My grandma passed away over 25 years ago. My dad always loved her date nut bread. She would even send him loaves when he was away in the military. My dad is now getting up there in age and I’m trying to recreate the recipe. Sometimes I can remember the taste. He still remembers it perfectly.
She had hundreds of recipes handwritten on note cards, but that one recipe is missing. He remembers that it was a batter, not an actual bread dough. It was super dense. It didn’t really flop like a slice of banana bread. You could put some butter on it and it was sturdy enough that you could hold it in your hand and eat it without it falling apart like other cakey breads. She would use hickory nuts until she couldn’t crack and shell them, so my dad said she switched to walnuts.
Is there a certain modification/technique or recipe I should look for that’ll give me this kind of result? I’ve been looking all over but everything looks like a dark brown, cake-like crumb bread. Any guidance would be appreciated. I really want to experiment and surprise my dad with this!

Hey guys, so I used to play a lot of custom games back in the day 2012-2018, used to play through ENT, but that died once 1.27 came out, and I kinda just moved on, but I want to get back playing custom maps again but I'm sorry, I am not paying the price of a full game on a 20 year old game(Very expensive in my country because of Reforged), so I kinda looked around and found Eurobattle and Gameranger, since GR is way more focused on LAN, and Eurobattle has a definitive version that they used, I decided on it, I'm kinda going in blind, I don't know how big the Custom Games community still is, and if they are active in Eurobattle, but I wanna play the game again, but I'm struggling to get the game to 1.28.5, back in the day we would just download 1.26 and that was it, I know about a Version Switcher but can't find anywhere to download it either, so yeah, help haha.
Anyways sorry for yapping, TLDR; How do I get version 1.28.5 to play custom games on Eurobattle

 | Been on and off the Test Enanthate a couple of times, and one weird detail I’ve noticed that whenever I’m on it, both thumbnails start having small ”bumps” and ”dents” in them and loose a bit of their shine. Hey all, I'm hoping to draw on your expert knowledge.
I've not played WOW for over a decade, more in fact, but I was heavily into it when it was first released and for several years after.
Anyway, I was part of a conversation recently about games where they slow down time, and I clearly remember a spell in WOW which came out with one of the expansions that a player could cast, which would create an AoE bubble-like effect that would slow down time for anyone inside the AoE that would slow down movement and animation speed, casting speed, even their projectiles fired would be slowed etc...
I remember it clearly in my mind, as I remember it was used in PVP in Arathi Basin to slow down players trying to capture flag points, BUT maybe I'm just imagining it and getting mixed up with another game.
Does anyone else remember such a spell?
