Anyone bought/ recieved ā the book ā guide to rebuilding civilization. I have a 9 year old and was obviously intrigued by it for an xmas gift. Bought it two weeks ago and havenāt gotten it yet. So I'm not sure if maybe it's just to do with my specific line of work in tech, but has anyone else here that works in tech (software development, QA, web dev etc..) found it's slim pickings at the moment for jobs?
I work mainly in Application / Production support (SQL mainly), so I realize it's more of a niche position but I've been finding next to nothing here in Edinburgh for my particular line of work, and have been needing to apply for fully remote jobs in the UK.

Heyāļø My girlfriend and I plan to visit Morocco for two weeks next summer. I want to learn the language so I can at least have some basic conversations, but I have a few questions:
- Is it worth learning standard Arabic? From what I've read on the internet most people understand standard arabic but no one actually speaks it? So in order to talk with people I should learn Darija, right?
- Will people be happy or rather annoyed if someone tries to speak in their local language without being fluent?
- Most inportant: Do you know any good sources for learning the language? I feel like there's almost no proper book or language course to learn it and most of them only cover basic phrases without actually explaining grammar and stuff. Can you recommend me good sources to start?
- Will Moroccans also understand French? If I understood correctly, french is an official language in Morocco but do people with less education or people in rural areas also speak french?

I know Buchnevich said previously he'll do it, but he doesn't want to be bounced back and forth from wing to center.
