How are folks managing this if not blocking/hiding it entirely? We currently have Outlook configured to sync contacts down to the native phone app, but for one user this has resulted in his contacts list syncing repeatedly and creating multiple copies of each entry. He is a bit of an outlier with about five thousand unique outlook contacts, maybe some strangeness is expected. If we hide the app, will it technically still function in the background regarding outlook syncing? In our testing, it appears as though texts from numbers not in the local contacts app don't come up with the contact name if it only exists in outlook.

In the past month, I launched a tool that solved a specific problemāand to my surprise, it attracted 10 paying customers in just 30 days, mostly mid-sized companies. I never thought addressing such a simple issue would lead to this kind of response.
Last weekend, I visited a friend and happened to meet his father, a jewelry manufacturer. We got to talking, and he mentioned a recurring problem he was facing in his business. As someone who loves solving problems (because my last one worked so well), I was all ears.

My first thought? "Why not just create a storefront using Shopify?"
But his response surprised me. He told me they already had a website. The problem was that when he dumped his entire product portfolio onto the site, customers would lose interest. Theyād glance at the site for a few seconds, feel overwhelmed, and drop off.
He explained that with big-ticket items like jewelry, customers prefer a more personalized experience. They donāt just want to browse; they want to feel like theyāre getting individual attention.
This got me thinking. As Steve Jobs said, āStart with the customer and work backward with technology.ā
For the first time, I saw a clear use case for AI that felt relevant and impactful. Iād avoided jumping into AI until now because I hadnāt come across a problem worth solvingābut this was it.
I spun up a quick solution using GPT to solve his specific problem. The result? A virtual sales assistant that eliminates manual intervention and delivers product information instantly.
This enabled me to: 1. Upload a CSV of all the products 2. Add additional prompts specific to his business (like contact information for closing sales, store address, etc). 3. That's it! Customers interact with a chat-like interface directly via a unique link that can be shared over WhatsApp or any social media.
This is now in use, not only does this save him time, but it also helps screen less serious customers using interaction patterns visible on a dashboard. Iām learning so much with each new customer interaction and adding features continuously.

Good Day,
I previously posted about my budget setup here: My Setup - B&W 601 S2 (Free), Denon DRH-800A, B&W Speaker Stands : BudgetAudiophile
I went ahead and took the advice of some in the thread and bought the two KEF Kube8B (Non MIE) subwoofers. I got them at a steal for 400 bucks CAD for two.
I went ahead and hooked them up yesterday and I think they sound ok on some songs, but not so good on others. I think this may be related to secondary bass reflection or set up.
My question is really related to set up.
1) I appreciate the room, the furniture, placement is probably the first place to start. When Christmas is over I will be experimenting more with that. As it is, the entire system is sort of behind the couch in a really big room. There is enough space to walk between the couch and where it is easily, but I don't think I'm going to move it because we have small children and this is probably for the best.
2) My question is more around hook up, my speakers supposedly only go down to 70Hz. the subs are connected via LFE cable instead of direct wire or stereo RCA (which seems to be an option from KEF). The subs have a filter dial, right now it's set to LFE and within the Av Receiver it's set to 80Hz. Do you think I should set it higher or lower? Would there be any benefit? The muddyness I hear is really only on one song so far, but that wasn't present without the sub.
Thoughts?

I didn't really have a negative opinion before, but my (Mexican) partner has a generally negative opinion of a lot of the "expat" industry services and I thought he was just being a grouch. Since I started doing regularization myself, I've had a few weird interactions with immigration facilitators that made me feel a little uncomfortable. One person didn't respond to an email for 2 weeks so I booked a consultation with them and then they canceled the consultation 30 minutes before. They emailed about rescheduling, but then didn't respond to my response for over a week and came back telling me it was a medical emergency. I understand that things happen, but at that point it had been 3 weeks of trying to get an initial meeting and I got the $55 consultation fee back via Paypal. Then I had a conversation with someone else who wasn't transparent about their fees.
I also am starting to get the impression that many people online are propagating information that is somewhat alarmist. And omitting important info that would demystify the experience. I was lucky and had other Spanish speaking anglos who told me to just do it myself. I witnessed this while in the INM GDL office - I saw people working with facilitators who were making simple things look more complicated when they translated to English. Or they didn't translate what was going on. I get the impression that most people who use these services don't speak or understand Spanish at all, so that makes a lot of bureaucractic processes here seem impossible when they are really not that difficult. And it is common here that Mexicans who afford it will use a facilitator for government processes. But some of these tramites are not that difficult and a lot of these self-appointed immigration experts are not providing clear information about that when they answer questions on Facebook groups.
I had one FB post describing my experience described as "libelous to my professional reputation" by a FB expat group admin (who apparently provides these services) for saying that a different post attempt had been declined in a different group (I didn't name the group) where all the admins are professional immigration facilitators. But this was -true- (the admins all were immigration facilitators!) and not a negative statement. I'm kinda confused as to how something true can be libelous. I didn't say anything of the negative things I'm saying here in that FB post, but that experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. It felt like they are zealously gate-keeping publicly available information (and individual sharing of experiences) to make their services seem necessary.

When Lucy accidentally breaks his vials during the fight with the gulper, he doesn't immediately take her to get sold for parts in exchange for drugs.
He takes her to a ghoul that may have his own supply, and he's hoping he can take a vial from him.
Unfortunately, the other ghoul is worse off than him when he arrives, and also asks our Ghoul if he has a vial.
I wholeheartedly believe our Ghoul would have provided a vial if he still had a few going. Seems they trusted each other enough to exchange vials in the past.
When he realises he can't help his friend, he gives him a happy memory to recall before putting him out of his misery.
And then, yeah, he sells the girl for something he needs to continue surviving. Such is the wasteland.
There's so much nuance to this character and I'm loving it.
