2024.11.27 15:29 oweeeg Think I was misdiagnosed and would like some help
Okay so I was diagnosed with bipolar II a few years back. There is absolutely no question that I have been dealing with chronic and sometimes p severe depression since I was in my teens, probs around 15 it actually got really bad, but I have felt really really unsure about whether or not I have ever had hypomania even when I was diagnosed.
I am very concerned that when I went for my assessment I was so sick and so extremely desperate for answers and constantly invalidated when I went for help with depression that I just got confirmation bias. Is this something other people think about? Can I get some advice on what to do?
I am still struggling with life really badly but I suspect it is adhd and I have family members who are suspected to have it but no one diagnosed yet.
The major issues I have taht make me question the diagnosis are these: 1. No family history of bipolar disorder 2. The psychiatrist made multiple fairly big errors in the letter diagnosing me- mentioning family history that was inaccurate including relatives who don’t exist and citing a family member’s postpartum as evidence of genetic distress for bipolar 3. I was desperate like DESPERATE for answers and wanted to believe I had finally found it and knew all along any putative hypomania was marginal 4. No hypomania for at least two years while on lamotrigine which has only been clinically demonstrated to stabilise depression not impact hypomania frequency 5. All the putative hypomania happened at times I was going to be free from my hellish family situation and in the context of really bad depression making me wonder if I just felt better with my idea of normal mood being so miscalibrated I thought the feeling okay was the pathology not the depression that surrounded it 6. The psychiatrist said my putative hypomania was mild anyway and barely met the threshold in terms of length 7. No hypomania while on SSRI meds in the years before 8. No hypersexuality while ostensibly hypomanic
I do however have loads of the symptoms of adhd, I know they are really comorbid but can someone pls give me some opinions and ideas what to do. I still can’t get anything done and don’t really know where to turn and I don’t want an inaccurate diagnosis and inappropriate meds with me forever.

2024.11.27 15:29 Ok_Philosopher_8973 Trying to find a yarn that matches Lion Brand Anti-Pill but in a Varsity Gold color!
Let’s get this out of the way, I’ve SCOURED yarnsub.com already. I’ve tried Caron Simply Soft and Yarn Bee Soft and Sleek but neither of their yellow/gold is the right color. I finally found the right color in Big Twist but the texture was too different from the Lion Brand to look good. I have two other yarns shortlisted but I’d have to order them and I’m worried that they won’t work and I’ll be wasting money. First option is Premier Anti-Pill in Mustard. Second is Hobbii Amigo XL in Egg Yolk. Does anyone have these yarns to compare to Lion Brand Anti-Pill in terms of sheen? Second, Yarnsub seems out of date, often suggesting discontinued yarn. Is there another yarn you’d recommend that maybe yarnsub doesn’t have? I’ve genuinely tried or looked at everything it’s suggesting and it’s either discontinued or doesn’t come in the shade I need. I don’t know who needs to read this, but it was definitely me 2 months ago. I’ve been using La Roche Posay’s Mela-B serum religiously for a year with some good results. But still very noticeable. I kept chugging along.
Two months ago, I started washing my face before applying and also using an AHA exfoliating mask once a week. Wow. The results are incredible. If I keep this up, I’m convinced that my melasma will be invisible in a handful of months!
I wasn’t washing strictly before applying products—I wash in the bath with my baby at night, apply moisturizer and products and call it good. I now apply the serums/retinol after washing and wait a few minutes for lotion. So, for anyone who needs to hear it: start with a clean face and make sure you are using an AHA exfoliating product!

Hello,
I use mRPG because it allows you to make custom character sheets and I like that you can invite people and assign them characters. It has a dice roller and a chat. You can talk as yourself or your character and the DM can make NPCs.
It works well enough. I haven’t found anything as good, everything is for 5E and/or doesn’t allow customization.
mRPG is shutting down at the end of 2024. Is there a similar app that works on iPhone?
