 | So I have had my lil fishy for nearly a month now and he's loving his current plants. I had some Java fern that turned brown so I trimmed the brown leaves and already see some new leaves sprouting. I do feel like I could add some more plants though to help with nitrate levels. I had noticed the levels were around 40ppm until I did a 50% water change earlier today, tested again and it's still not ideal at around 5-10ppm. I did test the water from the tap as I was advised, which tested around 5ppm as well. So my tap water is naturally high in nitrates anyway. I will test again tomorrow hopefully it will be 0 soon, as it has been in the past. I put it down to the browning of my java fern possible creating extra nitrates...but I am not sure. I was wondering if there are some other plants I could put in my tank, currently I have Java Fern (mostly just roots now after being trimmed), Anubias attached to some driftwood and some weed thing that I can't identify. I would love some recommendations! I was told to stay away from duckweed as it can be a pain if I wanted to ever get rid of it, but not opposed to other floating plants. I heard Banana plants were good too but I am unable to find them online in the UK. But yeah any tips and recommendations would be amazing, thanks in advance. :) P.S. The filter is on high at the moment as there was a lot of debris after doing the water change but will turn it down once some of it has cleared up. So it happens that I would send texts to her and when she responds, she'd only respond to maybe 2 of em. At first I let it slide coz I didn't really pay no mind to it but she did it again not once but a few times. So I was like okay I'm also gonna do it (she's a person who really doesn't care), when I did it, it was a problem to her so she stopped talking to me saying coz I ignored her messages only coz she did it first. She went offline.
What do I do? I feel as If she doesn't care about what I have to say unless it's he'd who has to say something to me. It's only a problem when it happens to her. I don't know what to do. Talking to her abbout it won't/might work coz she's that person. And she has some attitude. I feel like she uses everything against me to make me feel bad for things.
Help..

Hi all,
I am (partially) happy owner of two Evnia monitors. My only concern about them is the USB C input. It is soooooo inconsistent, connecting my laptop via USB C for monitor+peripherals works maybe 2 times out of 10 tries. Monitor just says "No video input". It happens to both of them. It works a little bit better when I only connect laptop via USB C, then turn on the monitor.
When I already have my PC running (plugged in via DP), plugging in USB C cable and switching input on the monitor have never worked for me ("No video input" message pop up and goes back to DP input).
Has anyone had similar problem with that particular monitor? Does the order of plugging in cables/turning on devices matters? I will add that every USB C cable that I use was previously tested on another monitor with USB C/KVM build in and they worked 100% of the time (Gigabyte M34WQ). Monitors firmware is up to date.

 | I have had an iPhone since the iPhone 4, I have seen many things come and go (notably playing YouTube music in the background without paying) also paying for updating. All of which I accepted and moved on with. Life is always changing and is inevitable. One thing I was always fond of was the ability to go into settings, pull down and search for the settings I was looking to change. I am not sure what was said during this meeting that they believed this was progress. I am human and I am wrong probably most of the time but feel like I can’t be alone with this one. Do you all feel settings has changed for the worse since 18? Do you find it better or more efficient? Because I am 35 now is it just harder for me to adapt to technology changing? I am in so many crypto projects that I feel as though I am still savvy. I just can’t for the life of me figure out how this new settings is any better. I do have a 7 year old who is really great with her iPhone (been home schooling her since she was 3 with it) and even she has said she can’t find some settings. Although she has showed me some awesome neat little tricks that she found. Is it me? Or do you all agree settings search is much less helpful or useful as it once was. Hello. I work for a small non-profit that hires contractors to provide our services. This year, we will have about 20 1099s to file and no W2s.
We have been using XERO accounting software for all of our bookkeeping. I am able to run the 1099-NEC report which is accurate. After that, I'm seeing a "Select e-filing app" and there seems to be an integration with 1099SmartFile.
Is it as simple as that? Can I just file my 1099s through 1099SmartFile and be done with it? I had thought maybe I needed to get Gusto involved but it's looking like maybe not.
Any help would be appreciated!

First time posting so apologies for any mistake. I know this is a bit silly but I need advice.
I (23F) have been playing the same mobile zombie game for 4 years. The game is based on weekly events and alliances with other players. A friend left one of his accounts, and I needed to find a new owner. Through another player, I met a guy (let's call him Gabriel) who was willing to take over the account.
We exchanged numbers since he didn't have Discord, and I gave him the necessary info to access the account. Everything seemed normal. Our conversations were sporadic and always about the game. I never shared personal info.
After a few days, Gabriel started giving me nicknames (we're both Latin, and it's not uncommon for friends to use nicknames). I didn't respond to them, as I didn't want to give him the wrong idea. One day, less than a month after we started talking, he told me he enjoyed talking to me and that I was his girlfriend. I didn't respond, feeling uncomfortable, but thinking it was a joke.
I later found out that he had been telling other players that I was his girlfriend. I was shocked and had to talk to him, telling him that I appreciated his help with the account, but I wasn't interested in anything romantic. He responded with an "Ok".
Now, I'm receiving messages from people who know him, saying that I broke his heart. I've never been in a situation like this before. I don't know what made him think we were something more than gaming partners.
AITA for how I handled the situation? Should I have set boundaries earlier? I want him to continue managing the account, but I don't want to give him the wrong idea. Any advice?

Even countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon are reporting facts on the ground. Still, National media like EBC are parroting terrorist and extremist propaganda from Western media whose interests are historically anti-Jewish and in recent years highly tied to IRGC interests. Even the local radio narrates a documentary about a 'hero Yahya Sinwar". I know as Christians and Muslims, most of us grew up hearing how Jews were bad people and stuff which makes most religious people side with enemies of Jews. However, let's be honest, this guy butchered Arab Palestinians in the most inhumane manner long before he massacred Jews of Israel on 10/7. What is the point of making a documentary about this fanatic for an Ethiopian audience? Even the Palestinian Arabs themselves didn't care much about his death but why are we Ethiopians doing sh*t like this? What is the media trying to achieve?
