Not sure if I chose the right tag but here goes; I have a beginning student in fourth grade who started with me for about a month, I have families sign three month contracts, long enough to decide if they wanna keep going and short enough it’s not a huge commitment either. She quit and the parent paid me for the second month of the contract, then the student came back last week. Parent owes me for that but here’s the dilemma: this student broke her arm this week and obviously won’t continue for a long time. Do I still ask them to buy out my contract like I usually would or tell them they’re welcome only owe me for last week’s lesson and scratch the rest because of the emergency? Contract clearly states they owe the contract if the student leaves for any reason, but is that being too harsh? What would you do? Thank you 🙏

I’ve been applying for the past 1 year and I still can not find another role! It’s absolutely soul crushing and I feel like a failure
I’ve even done professional qualifications to make myself more attractive as a candidate and it’s still not good enough to help me land another role.
This week has been especially hard since I’ve had 5 to 6 rejections back to back especially after landing interviews for 2 of them while the others didn’t even give me a bloody chance. It’s not even my cv as I’ve had recruiters and other people look into them and there isn’t any problems with them.
I know everyone says to keep applying and I’ve been applying every single fucking day for more then 6 months, I feel so exhausted with this bullshit
What the actual fuck can I do??? I have experience, a degree and 2 professional qualifications yet I still can’t get anything

They have proven the last 30 years that they won't fight for the pooworking class. It began with Clinton and Nafta as just a continuation of Reaganomics, it gutted the working class in our country and exported most of our manufacturing to other countries so they could pay them less and treat them worse. All in the name of "cheaper goods", in reality they just meant larger profit margins.
Obama continued Nafta and added the TPP exacerbating the issue, did nothing to close tax loopholes. Did nothing to the financial sector after the 2008 crisis beyond unfulfilled campaign promises. The affordable care act drastically increased the cost of healthcare for my blue collar father who had to retire early at the age of 61 and died 2 years later with lots of medical debt.
The last 3 election cycles they have shown their commitment to their donors to the detriment of the majority of the country.
They've had multiple opportunities to address the issues the most of us suffer from, stagnant wages, lack of healthcare, public transportation, unaffordable housing and food costs, but refused of offered temporary relief like the 1 year child tax credit. They have shown their control of corporate media with their attacks on Bernie Sanders and lack of coverage for 3rd party candidates. Their disdain of democracy by avoiding primaries, and using lawyers to make it increasingly difficult to run as an independent.
This is not an endorsement of Republicans, nor will "but the other guy is Hitler" be a sufficient enough reason to garner my vote. If he is, and I think that's hyperbole, it doesn't matter as Americans are by and large not Nazis and you'll see that should any mass deportations be attempted and the riots start. Fearmongering will no longer get me to vote Blue.

I have a specific Garmin saved search and noticed in the past week that there have been "too good to be true" prices. Little to no activity sellers have been posting multiple used Garmin watches at super low prices and of course they have been sold immediately. It seems like these sellers are dormant accounts that have been hacked and hijacked by scammers but why would they do something like this when they won't get "paid" until the buyer confirms receipt of the product? Would appreciate any insights into how this scam works from a practical standpoint.
