So I’m not a legal expert and please don’t block me for thinking this but the Republican Party keeps saying how gender dysphoria is a mental illness blah blah blah. I know the community is divided, but let’s say hypothetically it is a mental illness. Why are our rights not enshrined or protected by the ADA? Would it not be the same as saying it’s ok to attack someone who has anxiety or has PTSD or has OCD? So instead of approaching it from a gender issue, how about we approach it from a medical issue?

My friend just told me she forced herself to vomit and I don’t know what to do.
I met her in college a few weeks ago and we got along very well. She told me pretty early on that she used to suffer from anorexia nervosa. She also told me that since college she started to eat less and less and she is afraid that this illness will start again.
Half an hour ago she told me over text she forced herself to throw up. I am glad she trust me enough to tell me and I tried to support and comfort her. I tried to be as sensitive as possible and hopefully didn’t write anything stupid.
What can I do to help her? What are things I should avoid saying or doing? What are things I should do?
Any help is appreciated!!

I’m thinking of starting Yakuza Fiancé but from what I’ve heard Yoshino doesn’t seem to care about Kirishima at all. I’ve also heard she has a better relationship and gets shipped more with her brother than Kirishima(please don’t tell me she has romantic feelings for her brother or vise versa). Is that all true? Im not really a fan of reading about such one sided relationships.
Ps I also heard that she is likely to leave him after a year and with what I’ve heard I’m not sure how they could make a way for her to want to stay which would sound like a sad ending imo which I wouldn’t like.
This could all be a misunderstanding and I could be completely wrong if so please tell me.

So basically I am a full time student and I’m working part time at the same time. I don’t work many hours in the week but when I do work it’s always shifts during my most productive times (afternoons which I usually use to study). I am terrible at pulling all-nighters (because I have terrible sleeping problems) and sometimes it’s hard to fit in time to dedicate to the classes which require a lot of reading and work.
I unfortunately don’t have the privilege of being able to just study, because I really need the money from my job, but doing both things while having a full course load has become terribly tiring and I feel like I am not learning whatsoever.
I’ve been thinking that maybe i can take three courses in the winter semester and dedicate my time to them while still having time to take better shifts at work (to not feel miserable lol) but if I do that I would have to take summer courses, which means applying for financial aid again, which means entering more debt lol
Idk if doing this is a prudent choice, although I know it’s gonna be good for my mental health I also think of the economic aspects that taking this decision would entail.. as well as having to sacrifice part of my summer break to studying (which is obviously not fun bc I will have to go back to school in September YET AGAIN)
There’s so many cons and pros, and I really can’t make up my mind :(((
Any thoughts or advice on this?

So, in Echoes of Wisdom, there are a few outfits you can get using Amiibo. I think they had SUCH a missed opportunity to make a Sheik outfit for the Sheik Amiibo. I thought it would’ve been an obvious opportunity, since Zelda is the main character in this game, and the fact that Sheik has been in Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, and even got a dedicated headpiece in BOTW and TOTK, but apparently, Nintendo either didn’t see it, or intentionally didn’t add it. 😢

I have 2 different WS accounts. I changed the passwords and when I went to edit the login details for one on Wealthica (through the CORE platform), it went straight to syncing with the login from my other WS account (so basically, it duplicated all of the accounts from the other WS account). My questions are: a) How can I delete the duplicated WS data and b) How do I restore the data from the old WS account (that is now crossed out and grayed out on the WS historical add on). c) Does Wealthica have a phone number that I can speak with someone to help fix this?

2024.11.27 18:29 nl-robert Restoring Synology High Availability Cluster
Hi,
We are using Synology High Availability cluster for small corporate clients for 7 years now. In general, this works very well. However, we do have issues restoring them, using Hyperbackup and blocklevel backups.
Does anyone has experience with this? Sometimes (we don't know when exactly) after a full restore to a new (or erased) server, we end up with an empty volume. So the restore runs normal and when finished, it reboots, but then the volume is empty. In other times it works just as expected and after the restore we have a running cluster (albeit without the passive server yet, but it's easy to connect one).
We don't know if it has to do with the way we initiate the restore (during DSM setup, or just after). Or with a volume already present, or not. Or maybe disk having another size. Often is works, sometimes not.
Synology support is not very helpful, saying that Synology High Availability packages is not on the supported list of packages for Hyperbackup. But this list is new, and it worked well in the past.
