2024.11.27 18:29 ThinkWeather [CA-USA] Trustee would rather payout $120k cash instead of releasing accounting and trust documents
The estate is estimated to be at $800k left (just the house), cash was probably siphoned out by trustee a few years ago hence the refusal to give accounting.
It's quite obvious that they are breaking some rule by (1) refusing to send the notification by trustee - grantor died in 2020. (2) refusing to communicate with beneficiary and beneficiary's lawyer. (3) refusing to give accounting and true/updated copy of the trust document. (4) retaliating by threatening the potential beneficiary of bogus legal claims. The trust document is admittedly poorly written and the atty who drafted it already passed away.
I guess I'm just venting because we already have a lawyer. But what do you think?

2024.11.27 18:29 Significant-Pool-222 How to tell if Guinea pig is grieving?
I have two pigs, Potato and Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy died today in my arms as we couldn’t get her to the vet in time. I’m extremely heartbroken and thought I had more time. I’ve decided to put all my grieving energy into making sure Potato is doing okay. I’ve been reading up on all the advice. I’ve cuddled her, given her a toy, changed the layout of her cage, given her plenty of food and veggies, the works. Problem is is that Potato is dumber than most Guinea pigs and I can’t tell if she’s even realized/processed that Miss piggy has died/is gone. I even left piggy in with potato for about an hour after she died so Potato could come to her Guinea pig terms with it. But I can’t tell if Potato is sad, or happy even. She’s eating like normal, extra cuddly, was running around during floor time like normal. But in her cage (the few intervals she’s been in) she just lays in her hide and I can’t tell if it’s a lethargic laying down/sleeping or just her normal sleep. She is a very stationary pig. I’m not at a point in my life where I can get a New Guinea pig and just want potato to be as happy as possible. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello all,
I’m pulling the trigger on the watch above. I just want to clarify a couple of things:
1) atomic time keeping: I hear mixed things that this watch automatically adjusts the time based on location (some say no, some say it does that). Can you please share your knowledge?
2) if I want to set it to Phoenix MST time zone, do I set it to any of the US time zones and then manually adjust the time since PHX doesn’t exist?
3) is this the same watch as the ‘M5610-U’?

Thiamine and riboflavin make me feel nearly normal again and give me a great amount of energy (I’m even starting low not to push it too much) however everytime I take the next day I crash so so hard even though I’m doing nothing to push myself, just relaxing all day. I’m seeing most people on this sub saying it works well for them so I’m wondering why it’s having this effect on me? I’ve even tried taking it one at a time without the other and still the same outcome. Should I keep taking it and hope the crashing will eventually subside or maybe it’s too much for me?

Lately I feel like my close friend group has been excluding me from things. I try not to overthink it, because as adults we do not have to be around each other all the time. However, it feels weird to me when these people make plans directly in front of me, and include other people around me but not me if that makes sense. I had been dealing with it for a while, until things came to a head last night (for me). Two of the people in my friend group are my best friend (we’ll call him Mark) and roommate. About two days ago, my roommate tells me, “mark and our other friend are coming over tomorrow.” Okay cool! Im down with that. I ended up on a call with Mark a little later that evening and I asked, “I heard you and so and so are coming over tomorrow.” He says, “yeah”. And that was kinda it. So the day comes and my roommate comes home and she’s suddenly spilling her guts about how now more people are coming and she invited another one of our friends on top of that. (I knew that friend was coming already because i heard her mention it in another conversation prior. I don’t think she was aware that I knew.) In her hand were two newly bought bottles of wine. She tells me they’re for her and Mark. (Whenever we plan something normally, if someone needs something from a store run, we are usually good about picking up stuff for the other person and just venmo’ing or something.) I ask, “oh! Haha when was this planned?” And she tells me that “it was just happening so fast haha.” So i left to go run an errand, and before i leave, she asks me, “are you good?” Out of the blue. I assured her I was. When I returned, all of the guests were there. They all have on pajamas and have bottles of wine! It began to sink in even more than this was a planned thing and she just didn’t care to tell me I guess? Everyone knew fully what was happening, except for me. Throughout the night she kept repeatedly asking me if I was okay, which honestly pissed me off more.
After all of the questioning I had done prior, this felt like a genuine act of exclusion.. am I overreacting?

2024.11.27 18:29 Best_Log_4559 Stalker was Rushed (And For Good Reason, Read Below)
Stalker 2 is currently a buggy, beautiful game built off Unreal Engine 5, a rather graphically impressive but hugely taxing engine. So far, this feels like a greatly-crafted brainchild of some forty devs who had this wonderful idea but simply couldn't execute fully. Yet.
Fallout Four was a buggy mess on release. New Vegas is still to this day barely playable on PC without mods, even if it's the damn near perfect game. DayZ was a buggy mess and still has a major lack of features and barely drivable cars. Most of their features are from mods because the studio practically abandoned the game to make the next stage of Arma. Metro was perfectly made but still has the jank you would expect from any indie studio. Atomfall is a great concept so far, and I'm excited for its' release.
What I'm getting out is that 'after-the-end' sort of games, and gaming as a whole, is reliant on patches and consistent bug-fixing. Studios just don't have enough times nor funds to properly do everything in a short span of time. Much to my point, Stalker 2 HAD to be released. Another delay would perhaps kill off a large number of Xbox players who helped GSC reach the one million sale mark, and brought a huge wave of fans to play the OGs on console as well. If they didn't, would GSC be facing another bankruptcy? Would we have another Stalker?
And unlike the other games I mentioned that either had mod support but lacked a lovely ownership or didn't have mod support until later (I'm looking at you, New Vegas), Stalker has loving ownership that won't run off to use these funds to quickly make a new game (AHEM, STARFIELD), and with the loving community of modders behind its' back, as well as a great deal of future content just sitting in the game files, I fully believe Stalker has a bright future ahead of it.
Right now, it appears rushed, but I still fully on board the Stalker train. There was an 808 MB patch on my console this morning; it appears that it was mostly texture fixes, but I now have a group of random roaming AI that fight with the random roving bandits I've mentioned in previous posts. I'm on the 'An Invisible Threat' quest after exploring most of the known Zone (and glitching out of it to get into the Iron Forest where I died of rads), and most major cities are dying in the background. But I'm alright with it, because I'm currently witnessing some of those same NPCs fleeing to Yaniv and Sultan. The game is changing. And for the better.
Just give it the time it likely never would have had if it wasn't released.

I live in North America. I love the city and it's people but institutions, customer service, company websites, paying online with my credit card and OMG airlines are very subpar and actually end up costing extra time and money. Servers also tend to forget my order and take loooong. Prices feel like I'm in Montreal. Buenos Aires is very worth visiting, but I just thought I'd give you a heads up.
