Recently was given $10,000 as a gift from a family member when they passed away and would like to invest it into some stocks I can hold on to.
My thought was to buy a bunch of apple and microsoft stock and just hold on to it. Thinking maybe day trading might be more beneficial and could do it as I have alot of free time during the day working from home. However have no experience in actually doing any type of stock trading.
What would you invest in if you were given $10000 to spend on the stock market.

2024.11.27 19:40 phillydays Repair part not in stock during scheduled repair appointment
Sort of a rant, but I'm genuinely curious if this happens to most folks: I scheduled an iPhone battery repair days ago at the Providence Place Apple Store. Today was my appointment and I drove 45 minutes to the Apple Store only for them to tell me they didn't have the part in stock. How could Apple let me schedule the appointment without them having the part in stock? They told me to come back in 3 days. I returned home an hour later and then received a call from the Apple store to tell me the part was in stock. Is this some type of sick joke on me or does this happen to customers that schedule services with Apple? I'm extremely frustrated that this is happening.

I'm a digital artist who relies on my monitor for work/school and I need colours to be accurate. There's legit nothing worse than looking at a reference on my phone or second monitor and having to colour match key elements and not even getting the right hue.
What are some good monitors with accurate colours that are relatively cheap? Most monitors I'm finding seem like great gaming monitors but that's not really what I'm looking for. Colours have to be good and low refresh rates are uncomfortable to draw in.

2024.11.27 19:40 hunter_p_12 Safe to daisy chain bathroom outlet for use with server/networking gear?
Hello all. Just a quick, possibly dumb question, but I am running Cat6 ethernet cable through my house to my closet. I have one plug in there on the opposite wall where I would have to run a long cabled surge protector to power the network devices. However, there is an outlet on the other side of the wall (main bathroom). Would it be safe to daisy chain a new outlet in the closet off of this one for equipment that will be on 24/7? Is there any risk of tripping the breaker if my wife has hair straightener and blowdryer plugged in and using off the first outlet? I've never daisy chained an outlet before, but it looks easy enough. Just mainly worried about having multiple devices using both outlets at the same time. Would it be better to just hire someone to install a new outlet on it's own instead? Thanks for any help/info.
