Either way, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the news that he’s now working with Egosoft on the X4 flight model overhaul. Maybe X4 will end up delivering the spaceflight experience SC forgot how to make?

2024.11.27 20:45 Sufficient_Board1780 I’m unsure about my “friends” intentions.

About nine months ago I (33f) finally started a relationship with my crush (33m). He is extremely honest with me and so I’m very aware that his first girlfriend lives at his mothers house.
She’s a recovering alcoholic, has a nine year old child, going through a divorce and needed a safe place to stay. Before we got together my boyfriend’s sister and mother basically vetoed his opinion and told her that she could move in with them.
I have tried very very hard to get alone with her. I have had girl dates with her, paint nights, dog walks, random hangs, because I really didn’t want to be that jealous new girlfriend.
But now things are different…. I asked her to watch my dog and she lost him, so she called my boyfriend, not me. (Doggo is safe and sound by the way) she was currently texting me saying that she misses my boyfriend and doesn’t understand why he doesn’t text her anymore. And to tell him to text her. Then immediately says well, I miss BOTH of you. But he never texts me back.
I told her I would tell him. And then she got super upset about how he’s ignoring her and wanted to know if he’s mad at her and then started a group chat with other friends of ours to try and get my boyfriend to talk to her.

Wir kennen uns seit vielen Jahren beruflich und haben hier und da miteinander zu tun . Nun ist die Situation, dass sie beruflich um einiges erfahrener und erfolgreicher ist als ich und zusätzlich dazu mehrere Immobilien und andere Wertgegenstände besitzt. Somit finanziell also um einiges besser dasteht als ich. Noch dazu ist meine Scheidung noch nicht vollzogen, was auch noch mal eine finanzielle Zäsur darstellt. Wäre ein Freund von mir in meiner Situation würde ich ihn raten es lieber bleiben zu lassen, weil mit jemanden zusammen zu sein, der um einiges reifer, weiter, schlauer, erfolgreicher und reicher ist als man selbst, weil das nur Probleme mit sich bringt, die man nicht hätte, wenn man mit jemand zusammen ist, der in diesen Bereichen ähnlicher ist. Noch dazu hätte die besagte Frau mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit (das hat sich selbst auch erwähnt) eine Vielzahl an möglichen Partnern, die mit ihr auf einer Ebene sind oder auch darüber.
Wie sieht ihr das?

Right now our store is bad, you can say associates run the store. Associates are threatening TLs, coaches, and other associates and coaches do nothing. No training at all just throwing new hires to the wolves. On top of that the store is always nasty and not zoned. Associates tell TLs and coaches what that they not gonna do, it’s crazy. Have you all experienced this before? It feels like I’m the only one that takes time and trains my associates to be leaders, while others are here for a check.

This is a message from someone who went from 60 cigarettes a day to 0. I smoked for 10 years, and now I've been a non-smoker for 4 years, and I’ve never felt better. Since quitting smoking, everything has improved from my health to my appearance to my finances.
What I want to tell everyone is this: don’t wait for the “right moment” to quit smoking. The truth is, the right moment will never come. You’ll always come up with some new reason not to quit, some new excuse. But you’re not lying to others, others already know it’s not true, you’re lying to yourself, and that’s the worst part. You’re destroying your self-confidence because, deep down, you know that exam or that trip isn’t the real reason you’re not quitting.
The second thing is to take full responsibility for your actions. Smoking is both a habit and an addiction, but no one is forcing you to smoke. No one is holding a gun to your head and telling you to light that cigarette. If you’re waiting for someone to save you or help you, you’ll be disappointed, because no one but you can do it. If you want to quit, you just need to make sure you never smoke another cigarette.
Knowledge is power! One of the things that helped me the most in quitting smoking and in dealing with my hypochondria was my curiosity, I needed to understand what exactly was happening to me. When you learn how cigarettes affect your body, how nicotine works, and how deeply brainwashed we’ve been by the tobacco industry, it becomes much easier to deal with cravings. You can’t fight something if you don’t understand what you’re fighting against.
Quitting smoking isn’t an event, it’s a process, and you need to dedicate yourself to it every single day. It’s not something you try once, and if you fail, you say it’s impossible. It took me 6 or 7 attempts to finally quit. No matter how many tries it takes you, don’t give up. The worst thing that can happen is that you’ll go back to where you are now, so you have nothing to lose, only everything to gain.

2024.11.27 20:45 Educational-Let-1027 [24/F] The guy I like is acting normal (but weird)

What I mean by that is that we hardly talk to each other at our fast food job. We work two days a week together. We say maybe one thing (unrelated to work) to each other a day. But he came to my birthday party. He got me a really great gift and was one of the first to come and last to leave.
We’ve gone back to normal. He has people he almost prefers talking to over me. We don’t say a word to each other.
