Is this normal??
Am I overreacting? Am I the a*shole? Is this the "perfect" family?
I am an 18 years old, almost 19, and i still live with mom and grandma. However, there is something kinda... odd about their behaviour. Both of them went through severe trauma and they don't have any life or hobbies apart from me and that worries me. They talk to me in a high pitch voice most of the time and they keep hugging me, bringing me stuff, etc. It's a problem if I show anger or raise my voice a bit and that is WRONG. If i act a little cold or deny touch or deny receiving or giving hugs or kisses, my grandma storms off and leaves the room, angry and commenting. It's childlish and triggering. I feel like mom and grandma fill their empty life for me, serving me, i am the meaning to their lives. I try to explain to them to stop neglecting themselves and start focusing on themselves too, but they smile, say "i am glad you care" and never take me seriously. Then when they snap they blame me. Honestly, how childlish and immature one can be?? Even now, my mother brushes my hair, blows my hair, even when i take a bath she offers to help me wash my hair, finding the excuse that it's too long. It keeps going like this... My grandma and mother also sleep in the same bed as me, but grandma keep petting my hair and hand when I'm sleeping and it's annoying, she also stares at me when she can't sleep, creepy. I wish i had a key to my room. I am aware i am treated like a little girl and i do want to break this cycle. When I try to diet or to eat healthy, my mom buys or gives me chocolate and my grandma cooks lots of oiled food. :P I also live in a small city/townish where i don't have anything to do, don't have any friends, developed severe anxiety and depression. I wish WISH i had the guts to move to the city. But my only option is to live with my ultra strict and religious aunt and her family if I do go in the city. I don't have my own money. I am also afraid for my future since I was kept as a princess and I still am. They expect for me to magically change and do things lately but they used me like I am still child. If they want to raise children so much, why doesn't my mom adopt? Honestly, I feel like I should be grateful and shut up but that's not it, my problem IS valid.
