Got to the casino about 7:30am today (day before t-giving). Looked like they were still setting up one table. Go bust out at blackjack and decide to go play craps. 8:15am or so I am the first player at the only active craps table. The casino is usually pretty quiet in the morning but gets busier as the day goes on.
$15 table. Eventually the people start coming over. Lots of seven outs and no substantial long rolls. The stress that broke the camel’s back was a dice landing on my pass line chips and was ruled a 5 for seven out whereas if the dice moved closer to me/off the chips would’ve been an 8. Went to go play poker there afterwards, profitable at poker and at a time was unstuck overall but got into a few coolers so down on the day but not too bad.
I used to live here so it’s always nice to stop in the local’s casino when I come to town. Heading to LV next month so hopefully have better luck there.

I'm doing some general creative research for a story. It revolves around an ex-war journalist/photographer who worked in Afghanistan.
I'm curious if you know/heard of any stories or incidents where a war journalist witnessed something (murder, continued abuse, rape) but they couldn't get invovled or intervene.
Are war journalists barred from interferring with conflicts? Do they ever report crimes or offences committed US soldiers? What occurs? Or are they simply there to report?

I just recently watched the 3 fantastic beasts movies, and was shocked by how good they were! (Mainly the first. The other two were mediocre at best. Still enjoyed nonetheless lol.) After watching them all during my seasonal HP marathon, I came to the conclusion that the first fantastic beasts movie is definitely my favorite. This is not me saying the HP movies aren’t on par, souly a preference! I really enjoyed having a new perspective with a fresh look at the wizarding world and the more mature tone that accompanied it! I also really loved the character of newt schamander and the relationships between him, jacob, queenie, and tina. Plus, the focus on newts magical beasts really sold me. I really do wish the other two movies in the series went a different route. I feel as if the series definitely had wasted potential.

 | Today, I blanket sprayed a second round of ethofumesate as a pre-emergent at 0.75 oz / 1k to control (hopefully) poa annua in the spring. I had some thin spots last year that filled quickly with poa annua and it was too late in the spring to plant new seed. So this year, I want to be more proactive. I also used Trimec, Tractor Supply three-way, with additional 2-4D, to spot spray some cool-season weeds popping up on the edge of my driveway and next to the road. Trimec contains 6% 2-4D, 2% quinclorac, and .6 dicamba. I added straight 2-4D at 44% for good measure. The results were instant. Dormancy is starting to kick in, especially in my front where I did a complete reno and all of the grass is young. The back is better, but some of the older grass is going dormant. I also found some rust. I'll probably mow one more time and add a granular quick release, high-nitrogen fert next week and call it a wrap. I'm trying to figure out how to transfer my Hollow Knight save file. I started playing it on Game Pass because I wasn't sure I would like it, but now it's one of my favorite games.
So, I purchased it on Steam as part of the Autumn Sale.
