Salut! Scuzați că postez de pe cont throwaway abia făcut, nu am dorit să postez de pe contul principal din diferite motive.
Din păcate, așa cum zice și titlul postării, am fost prins deținând cam 0.7. Am fost la prieten acasă de unde am luat, am mers puțin și m-am trezit direct cu poliția în spate. Am fost dus la secție unde s-a întâmplat percheziționarea, a fost găsită și s-a întocmit procesul verbal, după care am fost lăsat acasă.
Întrebarea mea acum este, ce se v-a întâmpla pe viitor? Există un risc mare pentru ceva nasol? Menționez că am cazierul curat, neavând vreo altă faptă în spate vreodată.

2024.11.27 22:30 NightOwlXXIV [DISCUSSION] Why it’s obvious that JonBenet was killed by a family member
To me, the most probable, logical and easily explicable scenario is that the killer came from the inside of the house - it’s a family member (most likely the brother). Believe me when I say that the simplest explanation usually tends to be the correct one. This is why they were never able to find the killer outside. There are SO MANY clues pointing to that:
(1) FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT ONE: The DNA found on JonBenet was contaminated from day # 1 of the investigation due to the Boulder police not treating the entire house as a crime scene from the moment they arrived there after they got the call from Patsy. There were tons of people walking in, out, and around the house - from police officers to friends and family members. Therefore, they virtually have no DNA matches and they never will, because they virtually have NO USABLE DNA sample. Not to mention it was the father who “found” her body in the basement, removed it from the scene, and carried it upstairs. He also removed the duct tape from her mouth as well as tried to remove the ligature from her neck (unsuccessfully).
(2) Even though it was a large house, NO ONE knew it better than the Ramseys themselves. You have to be KIDDING ME that they have not searched every fing INCH of that house from the moment Patsy “found” the ransom note. If it were my child, I’d fing rip the walls down and flooring off the ground in search of her. It’s simply NOT LOGICALLY POSSIBLE that the parents would have “forgotten” to search EVEN ONE room (basement or attic included) in that house if they really had nothing to do with her murder.
(3) In every single public interview they gave, their demeanor could not convince me that they were being truthful, honest and sincere. I did not buy one word they said. Their speeches seemed very rehearsed and “agreed upon” between themselves. It was obvious to me that they both agreed on exactly what they were going to say publicly and stick to it no matter what.
All that being said, I don’t believe she was killed intentionally. I believe she was well loved and well cared for. I believe her death was accidental - caused by the brother - and the parents covered it up so that the brother would not have his life destroyed. Luckily for the parents and for Burke, there was not enough evidence to indict Burke.
Most likely, and quite simply, there was some kind of an incident and/or argument between Burke and JonBenet. What siblings don’t argue and fight? They all do. Perhaps he pushed her during the argument, and she fell in such a way that her head hit a hard surface, which instantly killed her. Or in a fit of rage, he could have hit her with a hard heavy object on the head. People die from head injuries - nothing more, nothing less. If I remember correctly, her skull was cracked for the length of EIGHT INCHES. You probably can’t survive a blow to the head like that.
Once the parents found out what happened, and saw that JonBenet was not breathing, they panicked. In their shock, they had to decide in THAT MOMENT what they were going to do. (1) Call the police and tell them the whole truth, which meant destroying the life of their only son left who was only 9? (2) Or try to make it look like someone broke into the house and murdered JonBenet?
They decide on option # 2 to save the life of Burke. They agree precisely between each other on what they are going to do and say from that moment on, no matter what. They decide they will take the truth to their graves with them to protect Burke because they know the killing was an accident. They love both JonBenet and Burke very much, and since one of them was killed by accident, they will not let the other child have his life taken away from him too.
So either the father or the mother (or both) make the garrote and, in their shock and agony, strangle the deceased child to make it look like she was murdered by the intruder who “broke into the house through the basement window.” Then Patsy writes the ransom note (only she and John know that $118,000 is the bonus that John gets from work). Early morning, Patsy calls the police to report that her daughter was kidnapped.
End of story. It’s as simple and as logical as that to me. Your points of view, commentaries, and criticisms are welcome.

Greetings Plumbing Lord! One of my two 14y old 40g natural gas water heaters went out and I'm replacing both. Shopping around at the box stores I find Rheem and A.O. Smith but the price ranges between their respective units has me scratching my head. The numbers seem to be all over the place with nominal BTU differences and/or powered exhaust, etc. I can understand build quality may be slightly different but it's a water heater at the end of the day... I feel like I'm missing something as this isn't really my wheelhouse. Can you guys EILI5? What does that extra money really buy you?

Not quite an open offer, but I got hiring committee approval for Meta E4, and I'm moving on to team matching with them. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting to hear back from Google, which I'd prefer from a WLB perspective (although I'm obviously still super psyched about Meta).
Subjectively, I performed worse on the Google final round, so I'm less confident on passing their HC; it's been ~2 weeks now and I haven't heard back.
Should I let my Google recruiter know that Meta has put me through the hiring committee? Or if I was already borderline, is that more likely to make them go "well, we might as well not fight for someone we got a mediocre signal on, let him go."

I've been planning to migrate and had a couple of countries up my list and one of it is NZ. So far i looked up about the economy, the opportunities for marine science careers, and housing. From what I took from this sub and other articles there's a harsh housing crisis there, so I'd like to ask if there's a an area in NZ that would have cheaper rents but is in close vicinity of a university. So far, a lot of universities there offer Marine Sciences, so i wouldn't be too worried (?).
I'm not too concerned about the prestige of the university as I'm more focused on survivability, or being able to pay rent and feed myself first while pursuing my degree.
If you have any tips or suggestions, or anything helpful at all, is really appreciated.

2024.11.27 22:30 syd_9876 Osap Still hasn’t approved Grades
Literally so sad right now. I wish proof of funding wasn’t due a month before courses start.
I was hoping to start the next round of courses November 1st, then osap wanted proof of progress so I finished my exams and sent it on Nov 1st.
So now the earliest I could start would be January, okay fine… except osap hasn’t reviewed my documents yet. I haven’t failed any classes, haven’t dropped below full time. But this review means I now have to wait. They have until literally Friday for the 4 week mark and for approval by Dec 1st for January Start.
But it’s looking like if they take their sweet time I might not get to start until February :( IF they get approved.
I was planning on using this money to help pay rent so now I’m feeling beyond stressed.
Wondering what I should do next time so there isn’t this huge delay. :( speed through the courses as fast as possible I guess 🤷🏻♀️
