2024.11.28 02:50 Deep-Drive-4090 Swollen Lymph Nodes
Swollen lymph nodes
F22, 154lbs, 5’5”, smoker. Taking lamictal 75mg q24, propranolol 10mg prn, hydroxyzie 50mg prn, adzenys 18mg q24. PMH anemia.
Hey all! For the last two weeks all of the lymph nodes on the right side of my body have been very swollen and painful to palpation. The ones in my neck are swollen to the point where certain positions are difficult to breath and swallowing and yawning are extremely painful. I’ve had a migraine, excessive sweating, dehydration, dizziness, and fatigue. My blood pressure is running at 80/50, and my heart rate keeps jumping to 120-140. ECG normal.
I’ve been to urgent care and the ER and they just give me steroids and say “it’s probably reacting to a virus,” and one of them said that it was strep even though I had a negative test and I don’t have a sore throat. I’ve been given dexamethasone PO twice after expressing that it has no effect for inflammation and swelling.
But it’s been going on for two weeks and I don’t have any viral symptoms.
Any thoughts?

I've thought for a long time about how Tori's lyrics are genius level, and not just for the poetic nature of them, the subject matter, etc. but for something else I've never found a way to describe in words.
I've noticed that in a lot of popular music, especially with solo singer-songwriters, the lyrics follow a basic cadence, especially in the verse and they rhyme and give it meaning. But with Tori, very, very often, there is another level to it.
With her, the words take a shape. She doesn't just sing at the same rhythm. It's the rhythm. It's the sound of the lyrics, the shape of the words, not just the melody and the meaning that are brilliant. I don't often care much about lyrics in most of the music I listen to, but I do really love a singer who can do this. I don't think about it much, but songs/bands I can think of off the top of my head are Disturbed and Hed P.E. (I listen to mostly metal and acoustic, with a smattering of rap.)
Really good rappers (of which I know only a tiny few) do this regularly. I think at least a couple of Sarah McLachlan(?) songs. There is one song by Jewel where she adds this layer of sonic richness and the lyrics have a more varied rhythm which is Little Sister.
I'm sure there are millions of other examples, but I would say the majority of popular music does not have this extra layer most of the time.
Does someone know what I am talking about? And if so, do you know how to refer to this layer? I want to be able to explain what I mean to people.
A final note is that I've noticed that singer-songwriters who have this extra quality tend to be musicians, in addition to wring the song and singing (which of course Tori is and Jewel is).

i've got a couple of songs written, but i'm still trying to decide what the sound is. i wanted to make stuff that sounds similar to scrapyard, and i've heard a lot of good stuff from here. i've tried bandlab (the website, not Cakewalk) and found it pretty limiting in terms of different sounds for instruments. i'm only on Windows if that helps

I don't really know much about Google Maps or how Google aggregates their data, but context:
My parents have a restaurant that has been opened for almost 2 years with about 150 reviews. Not the best, but far from worst. They have a website linked, Instagram linked, google business is as complete as it can be. Description, hours, address, menu items, etc. They also have content creators from Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, etc. that shows up when we search for the restaurant name.
And problem is, their restaurant refuses to show up when searching for simple terms like "Korean" specifically in Google Maps. On browser, it shows up fine, but most people use their phones to look for restaurants, and Google Maps on phones just doesn't show the restaurant. Tried common search terms like "Korean" or "Korean restaurant" and I have literally scrolled to the very bottom, and their restaurant just isn't listed. Only when I move the map to the restaurant itself zoomed really in, will Google Maps finally show.
"Korean restaurant" is the same, but searching "korean restaurant near me" then shows their restaurant just fine. But this isn't really organic, and I assume most people just search for "korean" or "restaurant" most of the time.
This really isn't a search ranking problem, and I tried getting in touch with google business support, but they just return an automated message telling me that they can't do anything about search ranking. It would be a dream at this point to be part of the search ranking, even at the bottom.
I'm not 100% sure how Google Maps works under the hood, and maybe other people might see results differently than we do, but it is concerning that it just doesn't show up from our searches.
Not really sure what to do here.

Soo had my first beta today from a FET I had on Monday the 18th. The nurse didn't seem optimistic at all but said that technically it's still a positive and to continue with my meds. She said that we will retest levels again on Monday the Dec 2nd. She said sometimes embryos can implant late and cause really low inital levels. I'm just confused because it doesn't seem like there has been any positive outcomes with low levels like this. With that being said, I'm trying to understand why I should continue taking meds at this point bc it's probably chemical or ectopic, right? I've never had any detectable HCG so in a way I guess it was more positive to at least feel like im progressing on my treatment some what. Would love to hear any advice or from some people that have gone through something similar!

Can anyone weigh in on long term recurrence / complications vs. residual pain that may be normal for life?
I’m still getting muscle knots in the area the hernia caused pain, and it will go into spasms after too much time sitting upright, or car rides etc. I also feel pain and tension down my leg. Is this normal? I’m female, and this is disconnected from cramps.
I was fully prepared it might come back later, and felt very fortunate to have no complications and good results, yet it’s still disappointing to not tolerate basic travel.
