My manager; I have observed him since when I joined (past 6 months), he reinforces weak performances, consoles them for having to face music from our ultimate boss for his actual short comings and weak-ass performance. (The weak performer has been here since last 2 years)
While I have been praised by boss from the beginning, without even breaking a sweat (not bragging), and my manager doesn't even mention a simple `good work' to me, nothing
Though I know my worth and nobody is a threat or competition to me, however when the person who miserlably failed in a task gets consoled and me who clearly performed much better gets nothing, seems kind of very off, but wtf type of management is he doing?
Am I misinterpreting things or is this some type of office politics? Anyone has experienced this?

I am a Harry Potter generation girl (no longer support JK Rowling, tho) and Draco Malfoy has been my crush for over 20 years now.
If you're/were on the fandom, you might have come across Dramione fanfics, specifically "Manacled". Now... Draco's name literally means Dragon, and he is like one, but in Manacled, this gets a very literal, very important meaning, and that is my headcanon.
Draco behaves like a Dragon. He is overprotective of what is important to him, his den, his love, HIS LOVE. And that idea of him made me live him even more.
Now, going back to Sylus... I loved him the second I laid eyes on him, and just a few chapters into his main story, I realized, he actually looks and behaves like Draco would (in my head, obvs) and it made so much sense. Now with the solar pair preview, I am DEAD. DECEASED, I tell you. If his hair was long, it would be the cherry on top, but just him being a Dragon is already making me kick and giggle, I can't wait to pull those cards. My theory was on the Hades/Persephone myth, but this is soooo much better! 😭

My mum was recently told she has oesophagus cancer that has spread to the lung. They’ve now just told us she has around a year to live. Im not in denial but how can anyone actually know how long you have left? She’s not even started treatment yet. The treatment is supposedly meant to help her symptoms and not cure her.
So I’m here to ask if there’s anyone that has been told the same and outlived what the doctors said? Anyone actually got “ cured” from their treatment that was only meant to relieve symptoms?
When I tell people my mum only has a year to live they automatically think she’s lying in a hospital bed and then I tell them no she’s out doing the shopping … she’s eating well and doing absolutely fine so I find it so hard to understand how they can say she has a year.

Obviously I went back to classic (Cataclysm classic) for the feels. But everything seems easier now. Either i'm not my dumbass 10 year old self again, or it's just easier. I was suprised I could solo hogger as a pala (the quest is known as the first one you have to form a group in order to win). Most creeps take 3-4 hits to die. And as of now (lvl 19) I'm yet to use a health potion or eat/drink.

I have an old girl. I adopted her in 2007 and then she was estimated to be 2-3 years old. She recently started having seizures. Now she whines more than she usually did. Usually she would whine if she had to go out or wanted food, but now she whines so much. I'm so worried she may be suffering since she's so old. Other than the constant whining she acts normal (eating, drinking, gets excited for food and treats) of course her walking is a little wobbly at times, but that's to be expected with her age. The vet put her on 125mg of Keppra every 12 hours. Could the whining be a side effect from the medication? I have seizures myself so I know after having one it takes a good day most of the time to recover and feel your normal. I'm new to doggie seizures so any info/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey there and Happy Turkey Day! So I've had this movie I've been searching for, for a very long time. But all I can remember is the very ending and a little bit of the premise.
So, two demons come to Earth from hell. They live normal human lives and have a mission to complete but end up having a child. Upon having their baby they start seeing the world differently and no longer wish to complete their mission and want to stay on Earth as humans and raise their child to be happy and healthy. So, while in their house one day, there is a knock at the door. They answer. It's another demon, who's come to take them and their child back and they tell him no.
So, just as the demon is about to do something. An angel appears in the house and basically his presence causes the intruding demon to become frightened. I think an argument ensues but the angel basically says that the demon parents are now human and under God's protection along with their baby and for the demon to go to hell. The demon angrily leaves. Angel wishes then well with a smile and I think he does warn them they will have to stay good people or they will loose the protection.
In the end, the two parents are smiling as they hold each other and their child. Roll credits.
