2024.11.28 12:40 ThatSmoothDude101 How can my colleague work from home, but my employer won’t let me?
So, in short myself and a colleague have the same job role and same title. I have been in the company longer and she has more experience in the industry, however it’s a sales based position and I sell more than her.
She has been working from home since Covid. As we do the same role, I thought I might be able to get the same deal, or even 1-2 days remote.
I have been told no and they “need” me in the office.
I’m not sure what I do in the office that’s so important. Maybe they don’t want everyone working from home to maintain the “sales environment” but this is what I’m keen to avoid. 7 years of typical “sales people” is draining!!
What’s the rules around working the same role as someone in the same company, but not receiving the same benefits?

As per the rules:
All lootbox, container and bundle results are prohibited, paid or free. The only exception may be mega threads at certain times of the year that will only be posted by mods.With the Christmas event coming up (we can already even get some Santa gifts), wouldn't it be a good idea to have a pinned mega thread so everyone can share their "christmas" gifts? Both pinned posts are overdue to be changed and people, despite the rules, are probably going to flood the new sections with their pulls, so a thread like that could help mitigate that. Plus, it would be cool to be able to share our stuff without getting comments like "who cares??" and "wow, congrats, so hapy for you >:("
Idk, just an idea, I'm not a mod but maybe if enough people agree, the mods would do it? I also don't know if that was already a thing for previous years, in which case nevermind all'at :)

2024.11.28 12:40 ICannotBeForsaken Glueing a popped out dashboard?
The title says it all! I just bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, GS-Sport.
The dash has warped? And popped out of place.
It’s pretty easy to pop back in, but it immediately pops back out.
Has anybody dealt with this? And how did you fix it?
A friend of mine has tried multiple methods with no luck. A few different types of glue, a few different types of tape, he has also used a heat gun to try and melt the edge back to its original shape to pop it back into place. Nothing works.
Would love to speak to somebody who experienced this and solved it! 😘🖤

After all the failed dates and non-responces on dating apps,I think I'm just gonna accept the fact that I might be just ugly. In fact, I'm going to resist any positive thought about myself. Because people lie to me, and if I indeed was as beautiful, smart, open-minded and kind as people try to tell me (which is just to pity me, because no truly attractive person needs reassurance in their attractiveness), I would not have been alone and miserable, and guys would actually try to be with me. That's it. Truth lies in the fact that most attractive guys are not interested in me, thus, I'm ugly.

2024.11.28 12:40 MrBuddyManister Vignetting issue with Minolta telephoto
Hi all, so I have a Minolta XT-1 with an MD mount. I have a cheap Samyang 70-200 f4-5.6 lens that has been fine for most uses, but recently my partner got a Konica t4 with a 75-210 f3.5-4.5 macro that is WAY nicer. It’s heavier and bigger, but when I look through it I get so much more light and I can focus so much better.
With our 50mm lenses attached, our viewfinders look almost identical, but with our telephoto lenses attached, hers looks way better. Mine is heavily vignetted and I can barely focus as the focusing screen is so sensitive to the position of my eye in the viewfinder, and it often just goes black.
My lens has a diameter of 52mm and hers 55mm. I don’t have them on me now, but the diameter of the inner glass element closer to the camera body is wayyy larger on hers than mine. The only photos I have are actually one I took of the Konica from the Minolta, and then a random phone photo of the Minolta.
Even my 135mm 3.5 is way better than my 70-210 at 135mm.
So two questions: 1- what’s the reason for this? What causes two similar lenses to be so drastically different?
And 2- I can’t seem to find any lenses that Minolta makes that are more professional grade for the MD Mount that have telephoto or zoom specs. Do they make any? Are lens mount adapters any good?
I’m looking at a new body anyways cause mine isn’t great. I’ve thought Konica or Olympus would be nice. Any recs are appreciated.
